RUDE, DISHONEST, UNSAFE PRACTICE! Today I arrived at my appointment only to be turned away. Yesterday, this office called me to remind me of an upcoming appointment & I spoke with a woman who clearly stated teeth cleaning was covered. Today I arrived and was told I would have to pay out of pocket costs...no problem, except that I specifically asked yesterday what the cost would be and the receptionist stated I was eligible for free a free cleaning. This morning, I walk in for my appointment and was told I would have to pay $200+ ! WHAT THE HELL?! I asked for this information yesterday and this wasn't mentioned. To make matters worse, this office was crowded with people in the lobby (6+) early in the morning during a pandemic! This just can't be a safe practice. The receptionist was rather rude during this process and when I asked about the free cleaning I was told I was eligible for, she didn't even acknowledge this. Now I must find another office to perform the services needed. This place needs a staff training to ensure receptionist relay the correct information at all times, and perhaps replace the receptionist there with someone with more experience, knowledge of the systems in place, and someone who can respectfully communicate issues. I won't be back, and this isn't the last of my reviews. I will be sure to inform others to consider other places to perform HONEST work who respectfully communicate the truth about the services that are eligible and the care they will be expecting to receive. read more

I've been coming to the Oxon Hill location since 2016 and I love it. Dr. Myoung-Wook Kim and his team exceed my expectations every time. I'm seen at my schedule appointment time and the service is nice and swift. Dentist visits are not always the most exciting trip on your to do list but, it's worth the anxiety. Dr. Kim treats us like family and provide the best recommendations plus he is very transparent. I come here for all my dental needs and they offered in house financing for the Invisalign product. Overall, I'm comfortable every time I visit this office. Keep up the good work! read more

My husband and I both made appointments about a week apart from each other. I was sent a message the day before my appointment and told it was cancelled. Then my husband's appointment came up and they asked if he was having any issues with his teeth he needed to discuss with the dentist. I said no. Then they went on to say he could keep his appointment but wouldn't be able to get a cleaning and could only go in to see the dentist. For what?!?! I just said he had no issues. So basically another cancelled appointment at the last minute after we waited months. Now we have to find another practice to go to and wait for months again. The Dental care itself is fine. This review is of the reception (or whoever answers the phone) I had an appointment scheduled for 11am at this location. A few minutes ago, I get a call from a woman telling me she's cancelling the appointment, saying I wasn't supposed to be able to schedule. Then when I ask about rescheduling, she begins to stutter and say that they are all booked up until January. When I ask about an appointment in January, it turns into "we book appointments six months in advance". at one point blatantly telling me to go to another location. This isn't a one time thing with this place, the reception has always been low class and rude. Go here to be disrespectful by minimum wage clerks. read more

I'm going to give this location 3 stars. The majority of the stars are from past experiences. On 1/17 I had a painful wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted. My normal dentist does not do extractions and his surgeon wasn't available. My husband and I drove past Neibauer and I decided this was the place. They took my insurance, assessed my tooth and pulled it the same day. Dr. Kim was pleasant, and accommodating. Fast forward to 11/1 - Bring my boys in for cleaning, based on my prior experience, we were running late due the school bus but they were fabulous. They took both of my kids, and again Dr. Kim, and his hygienist took great care of my family. They recommended an orthodontist for my oldest son and went through the proper cleaning practices. Now today, 11/12 My Husband and I came in for our cleanings. Dr. Chung (?) was the Dr. on duty. I knew I needed a deep cleaning and requested so over the phone. I also know I have horrible gums, but my husband's teeth are amazing and we're normally both in and out in an hour and a half tops. My 9:00 am wasn't seen until 9:30 and my husbands 10:00 wasn't cleaned until 10:58 am. (We both were in the system, so umm yeah) The hygienist would not clean my teeth because she wasn't scheduled for a deep cleaning, and I was told I had 6 cavities, I've never had a cavity before in my life, and I was surprised at the amount I've amassed since my previous cleaning. The doctor told me it was ok because I had good insurance. Really Sir?? They never cleaned my teeth. I literally just couldn't believe what was happening. So as I sit in the waiting room, I'm getting texts from my husband that he's still taking x-rays (It's 10:45 am) The Dr. (I use this term loosely now), told my hubby that also had six cavities and that two of his fillings need to be replaced. REALLY Dude?? It's time to go. My hubby let him clean his teeth, and after he finishes up the billing analyst comes out with our bills for our dental situations. We only came in for cleanings and came out with suggested dental work of almost $5000 before insurance. I made an appointment with my old dentist, hopefully Dr. Troise forgive us for cheating on him with a cut rate dental operation. Sorry Dr. Kim, I wish you the best. read more

So I made an appointment more than 3 months ago, my appointment was coming up tomorrow. They just canceled and were unable to even tell me when they might reschedule. Terrible customer service. They should have just told me months ago they can't accommodate new or any patients. I'm pissed. It's really unfortunate that a growing minority of doctors no longer practice the Hippocratic oath of do no harm. They are much more concerned with squeezing every penny they can out of your insurance and ripping apart your mouth while they are at it. I came in for a routine cleaning and I was sent away with a $2,000 bill when I had no issues to complain of. Of course they let me know that insurance would be paying 90% of the bill and what a 'discount' I was receiving because of that. The equipment here is top notch, but that means they will pass that bill on to you. Obviously they over built, over spent and expected a lot more business than they are receiving 1.5 years after opening. So unless you wish to buy the dentists here a nice new Mercedes stay away from this place. The staff of ladies there is absolutely wonderful, caring attentive, and the hygienist did a great job. I can't say enough nice things about them, other than they should find another place to work that feels less than a used car dealership. I had a wonderful dentist for many years, and he gave me a clean bill of health just 5 months ago before my move to DC, and after this experience the next time I go home to see my family, I will be visiting my dentist 200 miles away. read more

Went here last January because I had a Groupon and no insurance. The X-ray tech was pretty clumsy and had to keep re-positioning the bitewing-things in my mouth before he actually got a decent X-ray. I hadn't been to the dentist for 6 years before this trip, so I wasn't surprised when the hygienist said she thought she spotted a cavity during her cleaning. Post-cleaning, the dentist, Dr Chung, looked around my mouth and confirmed, "You have some cavities. You're gonna need to make an appointment to get those filled.". He didn't say where or how many. I never went back because I couldn't afford fillings. I now have a job with insurance, and just came back from a cleaning/X-ray appointment at a different office where they told me (as they showed me my X-rays) that I have NO cavities and do not need any work done of any kind. Fortunately I received several direct mail pieces from Neibauer advertising their special for first time patients. Only $59 for a cleaning/exam/x-rays. Today I finally used it and am so glad I did. The office is very nice inside - updated, clean and spacious. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. Dr. Kim or Chung (not sure which one) was very personable and extremely efficient considering I had three years of plaque/build up. He worked fast and did a wonderful job. The whole experience took less than an hour. They even gave me a coupon for a family member to get a cleaning at an even bigger discount. I will definitely be back and will make this my regular dentist office. read more

Please do not come here. Periodontists will save your teeth while he recommends to extract them . Probably in order for Dr. Chung to get money from you or from our insurance. He gives you no hope. I think they are dangerous than a thief. They will try to fulfill a service that they are not capable. My wife came from a different dentist and the recommended that a deep cleaning is required. When we moved to him, he said, it is not necessary so they can go on with the bridges. We decided not to get it due to having no funds so we believe that cleaning her gums will be the first thing to do. You know what Dr. Chung did? Deep Cleaning! We also got a bill in the mail for a balance which was not communicated. We were told, you pay this and you are all set. After 4-5 months, we get a bill in the mail. Their excuse? A system error suddenly sending bills to patients. Crap! They took it off after talking to the manager. Then, we were ready to have the bridge service done the following appointment and we were told that there was a follow up needed, a gum treatment which we never made aware of. They cannot do the bridge unless gum treatment will be done. Lying dentist at its best. Do not trust Dr Chung. read more
