I'm truly impressed with my visit today…read more I've been in search of a new dentist.... I was greeted at the front desk and the ladies were extremely polite and helpful I completed my forms and was escorted to the back dental area by Kayla the dental assistant. I briefly shared my concerns and she explained The process and which Dr I would meet with. Dr White DDS was exceptional... We discussed my concerns and what options I had regarding my dental care. I really appreciated the amount of care and time provided On top of the Quentin given... The office is bright, clean and up to date I'm scheduled with the hygienist and will do a follow up But as of date I strongly recommend Harborview Dental Associate's

Aboslutely awful practice, I experienced complete incompetence. Fancy office, terrible everything…read moreelse. New patient appointment was hard to schedule and they refused to do anything at first appt except for xrays and a "consult" - not even a cleaning!! The xrays taken were bad ones too - my new/better dentist called them "shadowy" and said they were very poor quality. I wasted time filling out forms via their website that they couldn't seem to access, had to redo them on an Ipad that froze up every other minute - so irritating. They also "forgot" about me in the waiting room on the return visit to get the cavities filled and cleaning, I had to wait an hour. The worst part was Dr. White. He caused me months of ongoing jaw pain by refusing to use a bite guard while filling my cavities despite my request for one and obvious pain. His assistant noticed and tried to offer the biteguard but Dr. White still refused, and he yelled at me when my mouth closed midfilling due to a completely cramped jaw. When Dr. White numbed my gum for the shot of painkiller, he had me laid down flat on my back so the numbing agent dripped down towards my throat and I felt like I was choking for several minutes. This was actually quite scary. He also uses the cheap painkillers - I could feel him drilling and when I indicated this instead of giving me more painkiller and continuing, he just quit his drilling and closed things up - very poorly at that. He didn't shake out the soft rot on any of the cavities. He fused two teeth together instead of using a ring to shape a filling on the side of a tooth, creating a food trap that drove me NUTS. All three fillings he did had to be redone by my new dentist - plus one of the three chipped almost immediately. He also brushed off a tooth I said was giving me pain as simply "sensitive teeth" and handed me a sample of Sensodyne. Too bad I found out 6 months later at my new dentists' office that a cavity in that tooth was clearly visible on the xrays Harborview sent to my new dentist, and the records sent from Harborview indicated no work had been done on that tooth, confirming my suspicion that this dentist is horribly negligent. I was never offered a flouride treatment either. One of the staff also gave me bruises on my arm while taking my blood pressure over and over again with a clearly broken machine, despite my telling her it hurt...all I got was attitude. Why they were taking my blood pressure AFTER filling my cavities and before doing a cleaning makes no sense, but was par for the course. To add insult to all these injuries, they also overcharged me. They had a list from the insurance company showing what they should have charged me, yet when I pointed out the overcharge, they accused me of "making things up" and played dumb. I had to get the insurance company to call and scold them. Then it took 10 months to get my money back while they insisted it was my bank's fault - no, they had processed the refund offline and it never went through. I told them this over and over (it was clearly on the receipt they sent me) but I had to jump through hoops and spend hours on countless calls before they finally admitted it was their fault once I threatened I would file a complaint with the state of MD. My advice is do not go near this dentist or practice unless you like to punish yourself. Huge mistake for me. This review is long overdue - but Dr. White is still there so posting this to save you all from him and this awful practice.

Super grateful for a top quality, skilled, accessible and exceptionally funny & personable dentist…read more Cracked a tooth last night at a restaurant celebration. Table fulla people. Refused to tell anyone and ruin the vibe. Just repositioned seating & smiled from the OPPOSITE side of my face, lol. Emailed Dr. Z right from the the table. He replied inside of a couple hours, thankfully, since I had clients meetings Saturday afternoon AND Sunday and preferred NOT to look like a SnagglePuss. Everyone sorta loves their dentist and thinks their guy is the best....I get it. Dental reviews can be as subjective as fragrance reviews and microwave reviews on Amazon. I know this much: My previous dentist didn't maintain Saturday hours and likely wouldn't have returned my **urgent** request until Tuesday (given Monday is a holiday). I then wouldn't have gotten an appointment from his "super busy" practice until sometime later in the week, maybe. PLUS, he nickle & dimed me everytime he touched my mouth. I was with him for 20 years and finally got fed up and moved on. Glad I picked Dr. Zishan and Dr. Ericka as my new dentists. Anyway, dental damage repaired 3 hours ago and nobody not reading this update even knows it ever happened.

What is it that the kids are saying these days? This place is a whole vibe!…read more I LOVED my visit today and have never felt more comfortable at a dentist's office. No, literally - I almost fell asleep. Why? Because they offer dope amenities and freebies like COCKTAILS and neck warmers with essential oils. Likeeee... what?!? Unheard of. I really loved it here. Below are some helpful deets. EMPLOYEES: The employees here are soooo sweet. You're offered a beverage at check-in and check-out - all free; as are the lip balms, which come in clutch after having your mouth open for an hour. I had the pleasure of having Heaven and Dr. Salpetch. Both were fantastic and honestly the most personable people I've ever met when visiting the dentist. They were also super thorough. PARKING: Didn't love the parking sitch here. If it's your first time, look for the color blue. They don't validate, so expect to pay $8 per visit, but it's worth it. They are in building 99, and blue is the corresponding color. COMFORT: Yooooo. Cocktails, blankets, headphones and movies, neck warmers, and more? Here for it. Plus, the office is a vibe. It's so nice and aesthetically pleasing that even just waiting to check in doesn't suck. TECHNOLOGY: Loved the technology they used and the care they took in leveraging it to best serve patients. It's not your old beat down dentist's office at all. INSURANCE: They take CareFirst. Can't speak to the others. Overall, I had a great visit. So great, in fact, that I can't wait to return next week for my filling.

I visited the office in Oxon Hill due to intensive wisdom tooth pain. When arrived, I was greeted…read moreby his dental assistant ( she was super sweet and nice. she talked me through my anxiety, and stayed by my side ) Dr. Cieplak walked inside room, I shared with him that I suffer from dental anxiety. Instead of speaking encouraging words and giving reassurance, he only bragged about his awards and told me the treatment that I needed was a "small fry" to him and either I get it done or I don't. The nice dental assistant told me that they offered mild sedation in their LaPlata office if I would opt to go there! Once I arrived at the LaPlata office, I sat in my car until it was my turn to go in. (COVID policy) As I got inside the exam room, the dental hygienist and another dental assistant came in. No introduction or anything. She leaned my chair back and told me to open my mouth so I can get a cleaning. As she started my teeth, she had a series of coughs, non stop. It was only until I moved my head that she got up and continued to cough outside the exam room. When she came back in, she proceeeded to finish with the same exact cough. I then tilted my head again, and she removed herself. ( as a hygienist, who thinks it's okay to cough repeatedly while someone mouth is open and you guys are face to face ) Once finished, a new dentist came inside and examined my mouth to create my dental plan. As she was examining my mouth, she kept asking a series of questions and instead of allowing me to answer, she just answered for me and kept on moving. When I received my dental plan, I asked about sedation. ( the only reason why I came to LaPlata ) I was then told that I would have to get EVERYTHING done on my dental treatment (which was only fill-ins and wisdom teeth removal). I told them I was unable to afford the $7,000 bill they gave me. Could I only get my wisdom teeth removed as that was the reason I came to see a dentist. I was once again told that it was either I get all the treatment plan done or nothing. When asked why, it was stated that it's his practice he does whatever he wants. I asked what about the patients who have anxiety, and can't even sit still once the noise of the drill comes on, I was told to find another dentist. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE WHO SUFFERS FROM DENTAL ANXIETY OR DOESN'T HAVE A TON OF MONEY SITTING AROUND TO SPEND IMMEDIATELY
