I would highly recommend Dr. Q Gilliam for the most terrified dental patients ever! You got phobias of thinking about a dentist, GO HERE!!!! The staff is so kind, non judgmental and compassionate. You never overhear them talking about anyone's case aloud and Dr. Q let's you know up front all cost before you begin anything and will only address what you want addressed at that visit. My mouth is so busted from my out of this world phobia that I needed Valium to even enter the building and sit still before the nitrous oxide could even be given. The office was spotless and all Covid precautions were taken. I put my headphone in and finally laid back for 2 extractions and stitches like it was nothing. I was given antibiotics and ibuprofen and told to sleep sitting up, which I did and had ZERO SWELLING AND ZERO PAIN...now mind you. I stayed on the ibuprofen to prevent swelling but expected some feelings of discomfort, but there was zero. Y am a week and 3 days out, the stitches will dissolve on their own and I've stopped with the ibuprofen. Do your mouth a favor, even if it's as bad as mine, Dr. Q will make you feel stupid that you were even scared. Where do these phobias originate from?? Dr. Gilliam is amazing and Confident Smiles is an exceptional practice. My mother in law needed an emergency dental appointment and Dr. Gilliam saw her the NEXT DAY! I was a patient of his and he performed a root canal on one of my front teeth. Additionally, I have been to his practice for routine cleanings. I highly recommend this dental office. I hadn't been to the dentist throughout the pandemic (I know, I know...) and knew I had several cavities, but was embarrassed about it. Dr. Gilliam and his team were kind, non-judgmental, and very gentle with my teeth cleaning and fillings. He also was able to squeeze me in to help with bite adjustments to help my night guard fit appropriately and to help address some of my sensitivity from bruxism (teeth grinding). I'm really grateful to have found a new dental home. Folks who don't have perfect teeth or who are worried about pain associated with dental procedures should feel at ease here. I recently visited Confident Smiles and had a great experience. I have braces, so I haven't really been going to the dentist for my checkups and cleanings lately. Just when I'd managed to somehow convince myself that my regular visits to the orthodontist meant I didn't have to visit the dentist, I began to experience some serious tooth pain in one of my molars. It was terrible. Dr. Gilliam did a great job of addressing my issue! He quickly identified the problem and solved it. I am so grateful. I truly did not have time to deal with a tooth ache and the pain associated with my teeth shifting from the braces. I'd also like to note that my braces themselves seemed to pose no issue whatsoever. That, to me, was actually a shocker. For some reason, I just thought that having braces would make identifying the source of my tooth ache pretty tricky. I'm glad I was wrong. I normally have a lot of anxiety around the dentist which often leads to neglect. When I came in for my first visit with Dr. Gilliam I wasn't prepared to have to get a root canal but there I was. But I'm so happy he is the dentist that discovered it. He explained to me how the process works and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I've gone back several times for other fillings and cleanings since and can confidently say he is one of the most patient and thoughtful dentists I've come across and his team is just as amazing. Went to get 2 fillings today. They said it would be $56. for each. They said they would be checking with my insurance. Went to pay my bill and it ended up that my insurance wasn't going to cover the filings and i was then told (after the fact) I owed $185. for each. Also I was going to apply for a credit plan. Since I would be using that instead of my insurance plan covering it, the dentist would charge me extra for any work that was paid for using this credit. ????? read more

Kudos to everyone that a great experience here. I did not. Took me a while to get to this review but here I am. Back in end of July beginning of august visited here to have a procedure done. I had already been diagnosed and did half of my mouth at another dentist office and because of insurance issues came here to have treatment on the other half of my mouth. They did x-rays and everything and was writing up a plan of care to send to insurance for approval. During that time they communicated with the previous dentist and made some requests for her peri chart, notes and I guess some other paperwork. She told their office that she don't share notes, she can share some information but they needed to make their own notes and treatment plan (sounds right to me). In the meantime the entire ordeal turned into weeks because they're saying to me they can't get into contact with the prior dentist and me basically saying that's NOT the truth because she told me she spoke with you all, she explained why she can't fulfill your requests and asked to have the dr call her so she can find out exactly what he needed cause there are certain things that are not shared. Their dr was always busy after that and so at the end of September I got a letter stating that they will have to discontinue my patient care because there was a breakdown of doctor/patient relationship and its missing communication, trust and mutual understanding. What a load of crap!!! and I can prove it with the multiple attempts to reach you guys and the prior dentist can as well, because she refused to share her notes (rightfully so) and certain other information, you all refused to move further. I came in to the office, you did x-rays, I was examined, you already knew what my diagnosis was..YOU MAKE YOUR OWN NOTES AND CREATE A PLAN OF CARE for your patient. Does the dr know what front desk is doing, I'm very confused by this practice. I would NEVER recommend anyone here, pure incompetence. Thankful other people had positive experience, that wasn't mine and it does not take away that what they did was shady and I am complaining to the insurance company. read more

Today, Dr. Long provided excellent cleaning services after taking "radioscope" images of my teeth and concluding there were no cavities. Dr Gilliam is a really good dentist, this most recent visit was as usual, a good experience. Despite having to get an extraction and stitches, I wasn't nervous. Dr Gilliam is very skilled and gentle. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants excellent care. read more
