We visited a few weeks ago on a Sunday morning and tried several different types of baked goods and a latte. Every one of them were delicious. There were quite a few customers so service was a little slower than we anticipated, but the food was worth the wait.

Pain Au Chocolat, Applewood Smoked ham and cheese croissant.

Excellent fresh pastries. The "queen" and the Chai bun were excellent. Not super busy. Bit of a hidden gem.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. We will for sure be back and bring others!

He was very attentive and recommended some dishes for us. I ordered the Rigatoni and my husband ordered the Burger. We also ordered a side of Brussels. My Rigatoni was great, was very filling and I could barely finish it. The Brussels was exceptional. I would come here just for that. It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. My husband said his burger was a bit dry but other than that, he said it was okay. Would definitely try it again, maybe their breakfast next time.

The atmosphere is beautiful, the restaurant is clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive, so no complaints there. As for the food, it was just... okay. It wasn't bad by any means, but it also wasn't anything that made me think the drive or the hype was worth it. Everything tasted decent, just pretty average for the price. I expected to be wowed, but instead it felt like a solid breakfast spot with great branding. If you're already in Waco, it's worth checking out once for the experience and the ambiance. But if you're making a special trip just for the food, keep your expectations realistic.

The Burger was good but the steak bowl was very disappointing. It was $19 but the portion was incredibly small, I think it was one of the most expensive items in the menu, if not the most and it was really small. I had to share my burger with my mom bc the portion was so small that she was hungry after eating it. Other than that, the service was great. Way too overpriced for what it was. We kind of regretted going, especially because so many people recommended us to go.

In particular the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts caught my eye, unfortunately the latter was sold out so I went with the sweet potato Both dishes I had were really good! The candied bacon paired really nicely with the creamy deviled egg, the hot sauce vinaigrette didn't add too much flavor, but honestly adding a significant amount of heat would've probably taken away from an already very tasty dish. The baked sweet potato on the other hand had a nice dose of heat from the Calabrian honey vinaigrette, the sweet heat combo worked really, I'm surprised I'd never come across a spicy sweet potato dish before, but I'll definitely have my eye out for it in the future Overall I had a very good experience and will definitely be back for future rest stop meals between Austin and Dallas!
