What I mean by this is that they make sure your child feels comfortable, work with them when they feel scared to build their comfort level, and make sure your that if your child is scared they ease into everything. They have never made us feel like they were doing extra or unnecessary work, walk you through everything, and explain things throughly. The office main lobby is beautiful and clean with all things kids love. The back office is even more fun. A tv for kids to watch a how with multiple choices at each station, a fun train at the ceiling that goes around the entire office, and fun prizes for the kids after each visit along with the usual toothbrush and toothpaste. The office itself has lots of games, video games and toys in the waiting area to keep kids of all ages entertained while they wait, as well as TVs with movies and shows for kids going. When we went back, right when our appointment was scheduled to start, our hygienist, who I think was named Abbie (so sorry if I got the wrong name!) was so nice and put my toddler at ease so quickly! I was nervous that her first appointment would be rough because it's a new experience and she can be very shy with people, but Abbie engaged her so well! Our dentist, Dr. Amanda was also amazing with her! She explained options for tooth paste and gave good advice about when/how to change it up as my daughter grows. I'm so very thrilled we will be bringing my daughter here! I actually had to have a family member take me to my first appointment to make sure I wouldn't turn around and go home once reaching the parking lot. I was literally shaking with fear as I entered the office for the first time! Within 5 minutes of my first appointment, Dr. Kocian had put me completely at ease. He has a wonderful mannerism - he clearly explains what needs to be done and why, and checks with you frequently to make sure you are comfortable during any procedure. More importantly, he stressed if I was ever uncomfortable, I could just raise my hand and we would stop and figure things out to make sure I was comfortable!! This feeling of having control over my treatment quickly washed away years of anxiety and fear - and I now actually look forward to my visits!! It's not only Dr. Kocian that makes this practice so great - the rest of the staff is amazing!! They are all very professional, kind, caring, and help to put you completely at ease!! It feels more like I am going to hang out with friends for an hour or so than like I am going to the dentist! I would absolutely recommend this practice to ANYONE!!
