The front desk staff is incredibly welcoming, the waiting room is cozy, and best of all--zero judgment about my flossing habits (or lack thereof). I have been going to Dr. Franco for longer than I care to say and he and his team are absolute pros. They explain everything clearly, work gently, and even manage to crack a joke while wielding dental instruments like seasoned comedians. They twice told me I needed a crown instead of fillings. I got one of the crowns done, and then switched insurance to a very expensive one so on Jan 1st I'd be able to get the other one done. (They were not happy I wanted to wait a month and a half to get a crown). I saw a new dentist in January and he said I just needed a deep filling, and looked over my X-rays and said I never needed the first crown. They upsold me on a laser gum treatment and told me insurance would cover it.... It covered $40? I paid the remaining $150 out of pocket. I also got a bill from them 7 months post service saying insurance didn't cover something. When I looked at my insurance, it was denied for failure to submit the claim in a timely fashion. It took 3 phone calls before I finally said: "it looks like it was denied because it wasn't submitted by your staff on time, is that what you're seeing on your end" and magically the bill disappeared. Great personalities, terrible people, terrible treatment.

When I received my dental cleaning, the hygienist was very educational. I learned so much about Dental health that I will carry with me! Furthermore, they gave me some suggestions for a follow up visit (removal of an old retainer wire and teeth sealants). I am writing this review to say that this visit was great! It was pleasant! The whole thing took less than an hour. The entire procedure was absolutely painless. I did not feel a thing. It was so efficiently done that I hardly realized how much time had passed. Dr. Miller and Tracy her assistant talked to me the entire time and kept me entertained. Even after the procedure I still do not feel a thing. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the entire procedure and how much work was able to be done in a short amount of time. I asked if I can see the X-ray but they said you wouldn't be able to see it as it is in between. Came back to get them filled and the dentist and the assistant were talking about how they are going on a Disney cruise with their family and how they should be closed on Saturday as I'm sitting there Saturday and the doctor needs time off because they are working so much? What? Why should I be hearing this as a patient. I understand they shouldn't just work their in silence on my teeth but maybe understand your patients can hear you and choose a different topic of conversation versus complaining about your work schedule on the day I'm sitting there. Then confusion on billing. All I need to know is the price you are charging me and then I can call my insurance myself to confirm what is covered! 2 fillings is a normal procedure so either they upsold me or lied about their cost. Fast forward 6 months for my cleaning. Reached out for a reminder and only has 1 appointment time available in the next 3 weeks. I said okay, I will call back. Was able to text and confirmed an appointment but unfortunately after I confirmed a major change in my schedule for work changed and here I am 4 days later trying to get a hold of the office to change and/or cancel out of respect for their schedule and can't get a hold of anyone. Was on hold for a total of 50 minutes!!!!! Sent the texts back for 4 days asking to cancel and/or change and then submitted another request online to cancel/change but nothing. This is a simple cleaning! I understand if I needed more extensive work but there a million other dentists in the state of Nebraska that can do that and clearly this place does not. Hire more staff or stay open longer to accommodate your patients!! I'm giving up and taking my insurance money elsewhere!

Their attitude towards dental service (whole…read morehealth/whole person) and customer relationships is polar opposite of other local providers, notably one in the general 168th/West Center area which shall remain unnamed. At that former location, I always felt as if the provider was constantly trying to upsell products and services, and the conversations with them always seemed somewhat superficial and merely out of politeness. It's different at MiBoca, and especially with Tiffany O., an amazing RDH and genuinely good person. My doc (Hayes) is great, too, but it's the RDH who spends 30 minutes digging around in your mouth and with whom you get to know and love (hopefully). Aside from the approach to dentistry and customer relationships, the new facility on Pacific and 180th is very nice. Walking into a beautiful new facility just creates a better impression than some of the sketchy-looking practices elsewhere around town. Recommend!

We wanted to find a new dental clinic for our daughters after a move some distance away from our…read moreprevious one, and honestly, Good Life Smiles was a secondary choice for me after the initial clinic wasn't covered under our dental insurance policy. I'm now glad how things ended up working out. On our first visit to the clinic, Dr. Pete sat with us before he examined our daughters to not only talk over their dental history, but also have a conversation about better prevention of future issues. I've never had a dentist--either for our children, or myself personally--put that kind of time and effort into a new patient. From there. Dr. Pete and his staff had a fantastic rapport with our children, and it was easy to tell they were more relaxed at this clinic than the previous one they'd been to. The bamboo toothbrushes our daughters got are great, as was the assurance that, should any dental emergencies ever crop up, we were encouraged to get in touch with Dr. Pete at any time of day. My only hesitation is that this is one of those kinds of clinics where you hope it'll stay as a smaller practice and not lose the personal attention that children currently receive. Still, I'd definitely recommend Good Life Smiles to other parents, even if doing so works against that hope.
