After four years away from here, I found myself here on a Sunday afternoon. It was crowded but I was seated promptly by the hostess team. They were very friendly and welcoming. My server, Lauren was very attentive and helpful. I ordered their $8 Mimosa pitcher ( of course I did). The price alone was worth the visit! Lol. I also had a build your own pizza slice. The toppings /cheese/ sauce ratio were decent. Would have loved a little more sauce but I didn't bother asking for any. I didn't care for the crust as it lacked flavor a bit. Overall, the pizza hit the spot and I was satisfied. The inside has bar seating , hightop and regular table seating available. TVs throughout. I would give them a 3.5 Stars overall: The service by our waitress, Yasmine, was a 5 star PLUS, the food was a hit and miss 3 star, the atmosphere for pub fair 3.5 star. Very loud inside, quieter on the enclosed patio. Hands down do order the cheeseburger, it was a 4.5 star, but it would have been a 5 if it came back well done as requested, not cannibal style, bloody red. Crispy fries a 5 star. Skip the Tomato, Bacon, Cheese toasted sandwich. It wasn't toasted, or barely, absolutely bland. Ate half left the other, 1 star. The Tomato Bisque Soup didn't look appealing at all, but surprisingly was good and served hot! A 4 Star. Steak Ciabata Sandwich? Just don't! $17.50 for Sirloin Strips that looked wonderful, but upon attempting to eat stringy, fatty and tasted like mush, 1 star. Adult son ate half and happy he had a lot of their good fries. Price on house Chardonnay excellent! 5 bucks. Draft beer 6 bucks. Bottom line, go for drinks, fries and burgers, maybe throw in the cup of Tomato Bisque. read more

Stopped by for dessert but also ordered a slice of cheese pizza. Our server was attentive and friendly and we were seated quickly with our waters. The cheese pizza was amazing. I only ate half but I did take the other half with me. Our dessert of choice was the brownie sundae which was always our favorite. I'm not sure why we hadn't been here in awhile, but now I know that I'll be back, sooner rather than later. Vibes are casual, good for date nights or family outings. Had to wave her down to order, wave her down to pay, they charge 4% for credit card, so went to pay her in cash. She didn't say what the total was. Pretty decent food and good prices reign here ! The lasagna is my favorite here. I know a lot of people like their Pizza. I've never tried it so I can't compare it. I don't eat here a lot, but about two or three times a year. (I've never really had bad food here but it's just not near my house.) This is definitely one of the top pizza spots in the city. I got the Sicilian pizza and my wife had the Greek chicken pizza. To top it off we started with lemon pepper wings as the appetizer. We were passing by and stopped on impulse. I was wearing a pretty ratty house dress and we had our tiny dog. This place is in our beloved former neighborhood and though we didn't see anyone we knew, we felt welcomed, comfortable and enjoyed the great vibes. One tv had on funny videos and we got silly over them. The service was quick, despite the crowd, unobtrusive and attentive. I had a delicious and huge grilled chicken, baby greens, apple and pecan salad that lasted two days. My husband had the largest muffuletta sandwich ever!He ate that for several days. We didn't drink alcohol so the bill was quite modest. All in all, the stars converged at this special neighborhood place and we had a wonderful time. Our little dog was served a whole chicken breast! Went yesterday for lunch and had an amazing time. The weather was great so we sat on the patio. Plenty of TVs with sports playing, which was perfect because there were several basketball games on. Our server was very quick and attentive throughout our entire meal there. The prices were definitely reasonable. We had a Cobb salad, stuffed ravioli, stuff with beef and top with Alfredo sauce, and the original specialty pizza, but I substituted pepperoni for the pancetta. Great service. Love the "build your own slice" option any time of day. My favorite is the Eggplant Alfredo. But I tried a new thing this time - - the Old World stromboli (prosciutto, spinach, caramelized onions and buffalo mozzarella served with a side of alfredo sauce). Found this place on the way to the airport, wife wanted lunch before her flight. The atmosphere was that of a sports bar type place. It was crowded outside where we sat due to football on the tv's. The service was about what you would expect, and you had a bit of time for the food to come out. I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich with fries. The fries were really good, the sandwich was as so so. Had an odd taste to it. It was edible, but I could only eat half of it. My daughter had the meatball sandwich, she said hers had an odd taste as well. I will give this place another shot if we are heading to the airport. Not great service here. Came here to pick up Togo food. Stood at the host stand as server walks by several times without saying anything. Not a busy night either, only 5 tables in the restaurant. Once host comes come out of the kitchen, she takes a Togo order and then directs me to the bar to pick up my order. Once the bartender comes over to take my payment she goes back to the other end of the bar to continue talking. With the pizza just sitting right behind her. I have been here a few times and it is usually pretty good. The last time I went for a visit, I stopped in to have lunch with my mom and my sister because my mom was in the mood for pizza. We had baked feta for the appetizer and it was very good. We also got a Sicilian meats pizza. My sister had the lasagna and loved it. Service was pretty quick and our server was very pleasant. It was not very crowded when we went around 12:00. We sat outside because it was a very pleasant day out. There is ample parking out front and on the side of the building. It is in an easily accessible location. I have been here at night and it does get crowded. The seating inside is pretty limited. They have a patio and dine in option . I went with the patio since it was a nice evening and football was on. They have televisions inside and out . The servers were very friendly and we were seated right away. Didn't know what to order so I started with mozzarella sticks to kill some time . The mozzarella sticks were ok . Who can go wrong with heating up frozen sticks . I decided to go with a sandwich instead of pizza . The Chicago Steak Sandwich . It comes with veggies, cheese and meat . I opted for the veggies on the side and add grilled onions . This was suggested to me by the waitress. Wasn't a bad idea at all . My son had pepperoni pizza since he is a pizza lover . Great place to stop on your way to/ from the airport. It's only about 6 minutes from BHM. I really liked the outdoor covered seating area. It was a nice day and with the fans going it was nice and cool sitting there. We all ordered sandwiches although they also have pizza, salads, and pasta. The menu is large so I would think pretty much anyone could find something they like. There is also a full bar and a full drink menu as well. We just got sodas on this visit. I ordered the Italian beef sandwich which looked really good but was kind of fatty. Hubs ordered the chicken parm sandwich. It was really big. The kid got a meatball sandwich. The Filling Station is one of those amazing gems that I was recently introduced. A family member promised me this place had the best Stromboli. I must admit I was like, let me just play along. However, I was shocked. The Stromboli at this place is off the charts. It's breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yet, it's not just big, but it is full of flavor. We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday around 11:15. I used to like this place but somehow there prices have seemed to creep up quite a bit. Food definitely tastes great but I give it three stars for the price surprise. We had a burger and the Station House Salad. The music was way too loud and featured Britney Spears, NSYNC, the Backstreet Boys and others like this at an extremely high volume. The interesting part is everyone there except us was at least 60...not sure they like that genre of music. They do offer a military discount which was nice. I had to go to the waitress to get a drink refill. When I found her she was checking her texts messages near the drink station where someone's vape was laying around. After that she came back to the table to clear our plates and mumbled something about bringing out our to go order. When it arrived, it wasn't boxed. It was plated, so I boxed it myself after asking for a box. The last thing I'll add is that we really like the overall vibe, but the music is just so loud. Why must it be that loud?
