    Pizza

The waiters here were very fast and helpful. The food came out quickly. We got the toasted ravioli which was good and the plain cheese pizza. I really love this pizza, the cheese was very flavorful and I will definitely be back!

    Meatball sub!
    Shii W.

Was wanting a meatball sub sooo bad.. been passing this place for years! And I .. Of course I pulled already knowing what I want thanks to yelp! The service was cool nothing over the top & nothing to be displeased about.‍ But that white chocolate bread pudding was worth every dime! Visited 2 more times since then! The atmosphere gives local staple/ mom&pop shop.. outdoor /indoor seating.. and they're pet friendly‍ for all the good boys and girls out there!

    Dry, hard meatball.

I give the benefit of the doubt to every restaurant but I've never had a great food experience here. I like the bar but the food is never great. Tonight's spaghetti and meatballs, a dish you'd think it'd be hard to offer poorly, had two meatballs. Quantity not a disappointment but one meatball was hard and dry. Like it was leftover from the night before. The pasta and sauce was just okay. Like school lunchroom quality. I want this place to be great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's close to home and has a terrific ambiance and, like I said a great bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Buffalo Shrimp Pizza

I enjoyed visiting The Filling Station. I heard the buffalo shrimp pizza was amazing and it lived up to the hype! The house ranch set every other topping off. The star was the blue cheese and buffalo sauce! Very good pizza!!

Meat pizza(can't remember what they called it)

The pizza was outstanding! Really liked the crust. The service was good but we also showed up early after golf so there is that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looks like what it is an old gas station. It has that real cool gas station off Route 66 vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good place to have a pint and a pie!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Old World stromboli
    Paige K.

Great service. Love the "build your own slice" option any time of day. My favorite is the Eggplant Alfredo. But I tried a new thing this time - - the Old World stromboli (prosciutto, spinach, caramelized onions and buffalo mozzarella served with a side of alfredo sauce). It was delicious and massive, ended up being 3 meals! They keep local beers on tap, sports on all the TVs inside and out. Patio is a great option! Parking in the lot is easy and ample.

Found this place on the way to the airport, wife wanted lunch before her flight. The atmosphere was that of a sports bar type place. It was crowded outside where we sat due to football on the tv's. The service was about what you would expect, and you had a bit of time for the food to come out. I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich with fries. The fries were really good, the sandwich was as so so. Had an odd taste to it. It was edible, but I could only eat half of it. My daughter had the meatball sandwich, she said hers had an odd taste as well. I will give this place another shot if we are heading to the airport. Next time I will get the pizza only... hopefully it will be much better than the sandwiches.

They have a food truck that I've heard wonderful things about and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was almost like a chopped Caesar salad and it was just the right amount for a small girl dinner. If you like Parmesan cheese, this is a must order as they do not skimp on that! What was really nice however was that you couldn't tell the food was from a food truck. It was great quality and you are able to order from inside the bar and they deliver it to you. That was a great service. I can't quite remember which cocktail I got, but it was very delicious and at one point the server had even given me a new chilled glass so my drink would remain cold as I sipped on it. This is definitely a great date night spot or just a place to grab a drink with friends, definitely a little more upscale as we were there in the evening, so the lights were dim. I won't drop my rating as it's spring time in the South but I remember being cold immediately as I walked in- but that's typical for a lot of places.

My husband and FIL liked theirs too. My MIL felt there was barely any alcohol in hers but I cannot confirm. But perhaps it's a more late(r) night place. We are all geriatric in our party (sort of). I didn't mind and it seemed to be picking up when we were leaving. I ordered the featured Old Fashioned for the evening along with a WhistlePig flight, both were excellent. The Old Fashioned was smooth, balanced, and exactly what a bourbon lover hopes for. One thing I really appreciate about Sloan's is that they host tastings almost weekly (or very often), and they're great about posting details on their social media so you always know what's coming up. It makes the experience feel curated and intentional. The service is always amazing; knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about bourbon. And the atmosphere? Grown and sophisticated. As I walked in the bartender yells at me, "What part of banned for life don't you understand....?" Fortunately, the PTSD keeping me on perpetual edge kicked in immediately and I responded, "Hey you're wearing my t-shirt you... give it back. And, how can I be banned from a place I've never been before?" The bartender and I then got down to the long history of Marty's PM (formally in Five Points), the legal and jurisdictional control of lifetime bans, and general 'long time no see, how you been?' chit chat. The place is situated in a nearly empty strip mall, which gives it a slightly post-apocalyptic vibe. It was nevertheless pretty crowded. They seem to be serving the same healthcare professionals/biker crowd that used to populate the 5-points version back in the day. I didn't try the food, but it looked pretty good. The prior version had one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches to be found. My only knock on the place would be the lack of draft beers. I toughed it out drinking Jack and Cokes. It's a little out of the way for me, but I suspect I'll be back sooner rather than later.

My friends and I played some pool, had some drinks and then decided to leave. Before leaving, my best friend and I decided to go to the ladies room. Upon discovering that all bathrooms save one were full, we elected to go into the single available bathroom together. I will at this point acknowledge that there was a sign on the bathroom door that said "one person at a time" that we did not see initially. After entering the bathroom, but after I had disrobed to the point necessary to use the bathroom, we heard someone BEATING on the door saying only one person allowed at a time. We explained through the door that one of us was in the process of using the bathroom, and that we would be out shortly. The banging on the door continued, and, when I stated that I was mostly naked (to use the bathroom) this person returned "I bet you are." Once we were finished using the bathroom, this person ( a man who was identified as one of the owners by a friend, but not confirmed as such by me) aggressively confronted us about the bathroom policy, sayin we would be kicked out. I told him I was about to leave anyway, and that we'd only decided to go into the bathroom together once the other bathrooms were deemed full, and that, further, it was more efficient to use the bathrooms in pairs, where one person used it, while another washed their hands. He was not receptive to this feedback and further pointed to the sign. Upon walking away, the women he was with even stated that I was "such a b*tch", to which he did nothing. If this was an owner, I am appalled at the treatment of a patron. Had this been handled differently, I would have gladly offered an explanation and apology. Further, if this owner allowed his guest/date to insult me loudly across the bar, it makes me wonder what else they allow. If this is someone not affiliated with the bar, which, based on the passion of the affront, I doubt, I encourage the bar to better police their patrons, as this encounter made me feel very unsafe. I won't be back.
