This was my first trip here. Im local and kept seeing Facebook posts of their burger of the month. I walked in knowing what i wanted. I sat down and wanted to order right away. The male waiter dropped off a menu in passing. I was left unattended. Ive have had similar experiences at some other restaurants, single diners vs large groups (larger tips/more attention). Two groups walked in and were seated well after I'd been waiting. They both were given drinks and had their orders taken. I was in the process of walking out when the male waiter finally came to my table and asked if I was leaving. I explained that I had been waiting to order and two other tables that came in well after me had already received their drinks and had their orders taken. He simply said ok, so your leaving? I was more bothered with how unapologetic he was than the wait. I did place an order. The food was good, but not worth the aggravation. read more

I was excited to try this place as it claims to be the number one burger in SD. And that appeared to be the case as my friend's hamburger looked wonderful. However, both of our orders of sweet potato fries were totally burned and rock hard. I ordered the Reuben, and it was made with some sort of brisket that was 90% gristle and fat and hardly any meat. Then when it was apparently on the flat top cooking they used way too much butter/oleo, so the bread which should have been crisp, was oily. It was truly the worst Reuben I've ever had. I don't get it. How do you screw up a Reuben that bad? The waitress was a peach, (hence the two stars instead of one) and we tipped her well, but for almost 50 bucks, we won't be back. read more

Service was great. Place was packed at 5:30pm. Had a short 15 minute wait as place was full. Our order was out in pry 12 minutes. I had the tortinelli Cajun pasta, this phenomenal beer cheese soup! Husband had a Panini with the brisket, onions, green chilies, grilled on sourdough with a side of white queso. Sooo good. We eat here every time we visit from IOWA. Nice place... GREAT food. We loved it! Our waitress, (working all of the tables), and the guy in the "Pepper Pants" were the kindest coolest people. Sweet potatto fries are SOOOOO good. The regular fries were o.k., cooked well.... But they had some kind of light batter on them which is not something that I prefer. Steak tips were amazing. Hubby had some kind of ginormous burger... I think it was a house favorite, and he said it was amazing. Wonderful staff! We would definitely go back. And since we will be in the area for a month.... We definitely will! read more

This place was packed when we arrived. I can see why. All four of us enjoyed different meals and the food was excellent: burger, steak tips, salad and fish and chips. Service was great. Wanted to try it since it's under new management. Food was amazing. We got the Gouda curds with a housemade dipping sauce as an appetizer with this Spicy Barnyard Burger. Staff was attentive and nice. We will be back soon. read more

A good restaurant in Summerset, serving up classic American fare. The cheeseburgers are really good, and the fried steak tips were as well. The mozzarella sticks are a good appetizer. Fish and chips were ok; they kinda' looked like Gordon's Fisherman planks, but had good flavor regardless. They serve beer and the heavy stuff, and have plenty of TVs to watch sports. The prices are very reasonable, with nothing being over $11. In all, great food, friendly staff, and very good prices. read more

The restaurant is nice on the inside and the food is ok, nothing special. The reason I am giving it a low review is because the owners are very very rude. And they told my neighbors young child deserved to get hit by a car. I will NEVER eat here again! Even if their food was fantastic, I you will never get my business ever again!! Friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Family friendly, and offering just enough for a neighborhood grill. Servers were friendly, and the food we ordered was pretty middle of the road. It was everything I expected it to be. I was hoping they had some exceptional hot wings, but that was wishful thinking. The wings were as anywhere else in the black hills, that I've tried. Recommend this for a quick nite or cocktail with friends, family or even on your own. The specials seem pretty intriguing and I heard that have a kids eat free night(not validated). The biggest plus is having places like this to serve people who live out of town. read more

The staff at Neighbors are courteous and nice folks. The chef who makes the soups has it going on! The soups are always amazing. The burgers are good (however they recently switched to a different hamburger source and they are not as good- please find a better source). The only complaint or criticism I have is that the menu needs to be freshened up, and have the chef offer naked home made chicken wings instead of frozen breaded. I eat there every week and will be back again. Oh ya- they have great beers and decent alcohol prices. read more

Food is good beer and drinks are good. Wish there bowl of soup was bigger, it's more like a cup. Overall it's a nice place for the area the wait staff could be a lot more friendly and I had to get my own menu. Almost like they are scared to talk to you, would rather sit behind the bar with there arms crossed then ask you how your meal was. I will be back for sure been here twice just wish the staff would loosen up a bit..., maybe just lack of experience. But I never once was asked how my food was, only asked me if I needed another beer...both times not one waitress smiled or would even give you the time of day. Took your order an that was it. BEWARE of owner... and food!! Aside from the sub-par food (I will explain a bit later), the owner is the BIGGEST jerk (to put it lightly w/o swearing) who needs a serious lesson in customer service. First of all, I would like to say that I have NEVER sent back food anywhere in my life, but today, despite being EXTREMELY hungry, I couldn't tolerate being charged $9 for the worst salad ever created. After kindly stating my dissatisfaction to the server (and apologizing, as this is not what I am accustomed to doing), I was told we had to wait for the owner to come to the restaurant personally. After arriving, he made it VERY clear he was not pleased with my complaint, said he had to go check and see if anything was wrong with it, then promptly came back to tell me that I was in the wrong and that there was nothing wrong with it. Instead of offering to exchange it for something else or just take it off of the check, he yelled at me in front of the only other customer there and when I said that I would not be coming back, he yelled, "GOOD! THEN DON'T COME BACK!" So, I ended up paying $9 for something I took one bite of... and now let me explain the state of the actual salad. It says on the menu that it is a grilled marinated chicken breast on a bed of greens with fresh vegetables. First of all, I don't know what they marinate the chicken in because it is extremely bland AND it was very obvious that this wasn't the first time the chicken was cooked. Secondly, I didn't know that iceberg lettuce is now considered "greens" and that fresh vegetables would be two slices of nearly white tomatoes and some slices of red onion. Even if I did get the cheese and croutons that would've been on it (which I can't eat), it still would have been the WORST salad ever. It literally tasted like old dirty lettuce with overly dried out tasteless chicken that even the honey mustard could not cover up. Please, for your own good, DO NOT eat at this sorry excuse for a restaurant!!!!! read more
