While I was in Belton taking care of business I decided to stop in for a quick lunch. Note: They are only open until three. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by an exceptionally polite staff. She showed me the menu on the wall and even gave me recommendations on her favorites. I took her recommendation and ordered the chicken salad sandwich which did not disappoint. No need to try anything else stick with this one. I Added a tomato bisque soup which was all right... but I think I'll try a different soup next time. But too many of these restaurants trying to do chicken and waffles take the shortcut and use processed boneless chicken parts reformed to look like an actual natural piece. I was supposed to get a thigh on each waffle. The chicken vaguely resembled thighs. But the meat was white and very salty. Not good. Should I ever drop in again, I'll stick with a more traditional combination and maybe my extra will be better. A little concern would have been nice. went to pay the bill and the girl at the register said she could charge me half price for the food. The Beltonian is a cute little original theatre from a times past. It's been remodeled and captures the old nostalgia we all miss from our childhood. They have one screen. They are limited to what they show, for how long and how many. But that makes for a quick turnover and one never gets bored with what to watch. Saturday's they have cartoons and breakfasts for the kids. They have many special events. Elf was one we went to recently. They have dueling piano concert. And many more things. Oh and the best are some of the older movies back up on the big screen. They have a big menu. Not just popcorn and candy. Little pizzas. Sliders. They have beer and wine.
