I found a car that I never would have picked out on my own, and Tommy made it possible for it to fit my budget and credit score.

All I needed was the labor for the install to save some time, since I'm perfectly capable of doing the job myself. They refused to use my parts, even though they were OEM. The policy is apparently no customer-supplied parts, period. I understand not wanting to use customer parts for more complex repairs, but for a simple tune-up like spark plugs and coils, it really shouldn't have been a problem with genuine OEM Motorcraft parts. It felt like it was purely about marking up the parts themselves rather than any real concern. For something as basic and straightforward as plugs and coils, this rule is ridiculous and frustrating. Ended up doing it myself. If you're capable of handling a basic tune-up yourself and just want to pay for labor to save time, this isn't the place their inflexible policy will waste your time instead.

After checking reviews, I found Kavanaugh Complete Car Care, and I'm so glad I did! From the first call, Karen was incredibly kind and helpful -- she quickly sent a repair quote, scheduled our service, and even arranged for a rental car to pick us up directly from the shop. The pricing was fair, the work was done efficiently, and the customer service was exceptional. It's rare to find a shop that treats travelers with such honesty and care. I highly recommend Kavanaugh Complete Car Care to anyone needing reliable auto repair and genuine customer service!

i bought my car about a year and a half ago from Tommy Neutz when he was running the car dealership…read moreacross the street from this repair shop. recently he sold that and is exclusively running this business now. when that change happened, i got hold of him and asked him if he would still be doing my warranty work and would still look at my car before i have to drive it out of town like before, and he said yes, nothing had changed. now i've had a personal tragedy. my 25yo daughter took her own life, and i have to drive nearly 3 hours away to deal with things there in a week. so i got hold of Tommy today and told him this and asked him to look at my car first and he refused. he also said i'd have to go somewhere else for my warranty work. apparently all over a disagreement we had over some work i thought should be done just after i got the car which i thought was behind us, especially since he had only recently reiterated that he would be doing my work and all would be the same. he waited til i have no time to find another reputable place to do any work if a check finds it's needed and left me out in the cold. and this after he even invited me to church with him when i bought the car. i cannot believe he is leaving me in the lurch like this and not keeping his word. i know a lot of people think the world of Tommy, and i did too, but this shows me who he really is. i'm sorry to say it, but it's true. and now i will have to figure out what to do about this on top of what has happened to my baby.

Man oh man, if it wasn't for this shop I would have been in a horrible place…read more Spent good money at another certain shop that is "Toyota specific" in Middletown. And they destroyed the studs on my exhaust manifold from a simple bolt on magnaflow exhaust that should have been no more than 2 hours and a few hundred dollars. It left that shop leaking and loose, right rear cat failed and magnaflow honored the warranty and shipped me a replacement. Brought it back to have them swap the part and fix the leak. It leaked even worse and the owner told me straight to my face that it was not leaking and it didn't fit perfect cause it wasn't OEM. I finally find Eric with performance automotive and come To find out he even used to work at ams, so he knows what he's doing for sure. After spending 3 hours removing the old stripped studs and putting in new hardware, the magnaflow exhaust all went into place perfect like an OEM part . Had some other parts that needed to go on before a trip back to California and when I went to drop off truck my alternator was showing signs it was going out. Got all the parts together and he managed to swap that, installed my traction bars, do my carrier bearing on my driveshaft, and airbag cradles. Truck drives perfect now and while his shop rate may be "high" to some people, he actually is working that full hour and doesn't just sit around. I'd rather pay more per hour and less hours and ensure it gets done than some of these other shops in the area that charge less per hour but bill you more hours and mess things up like what I experienced that he had to fix. Overall you get what you pay for and simply put, He's the only shop I would ever go to out there.

While waiting for my repair I could see and hear the top of line respect they had for each customer. How the whole shop worked in unison, provide customer rides while repairing their cars, had a sign on the wall that spoke of honesty and they have it her. I was told no problems with the brakes and didn't charge a dime and now they are my new repair shop. I live in Buechel but this place is worth the drive. They have another office in J-town.

The engine was smoking as I drove off. I took it back and they said they now steamed washed it and all was well. The car had a very small leak about once every week or two for the next couple of months. I decided to take my car to Pro Auto care. I asked for an oil change and to check out the leak. It turns out the oil filter was so tight the seal or cd something was no longer flush on the engine and allowed a lead (very small) of oil. Pro auto not only changed my oil but cleaned up the leaked oil and all seems well a couple of weeks later. Price is reasonable, people are professional and friendly. They tell you the truth and are quick, efficient and professional. Great service.

We moved to Louisville about 2 years ago and I had a wonderful relationship with my Service center…read morein South Florida, Tires Plus. So my initial inclination was to go to tires plus right down the street from our house. Well that was the biggest mistake that I made. They "saw me coming" and basically fleeced me for $2,000 only to tell me my Explorer couldn't be fixed. I was leery about starting with another tire place, but I gave Big O on Taylorsville Rd. and try and was very satisfied. THey did my normal maintenance and did a find job at it. When I needed a head light replaced they went out of the way to find the right part. But to show their true colors took until this week. My power seat wasn't going back and forth, so I called one Nissan dealer who told me the could see me at the end of July -- 4 weeks away. THe other deaier in town said they could take in the car, but let me know that I would need to pay nearly $200 in diagnostic charges before they would do any service because it was Non-Standard service that I was bringing the car in for. SO I called Big O and they said to bring in the car. I left it there the other afternoon and within an hour I got a call from them telling me that they would need to remove the seat to figure out what was wrong and that may run up 1-2 hours... was I OK with that. I had no issue, as I knew that would need to be done. THe next morning I got a call saying my car was ready, When they took the seat off they found debris in the track that was blocking the seat. My total charge was for one hour of labor and about half of what the "diagnostic fee" woudl have been from the dealer. They could have easily taken me for a ride for several hundred dollars, but that's not their style. The level of honesty that these guys show is incredible. Needless to say, Big O on Taylorsville Rd. are the only ones that are going to do any work on either of my cars from here on in.
