The waiting area and offices I sat in were clean and quiet. The front office staff were kind and due to my tricky insurance, were willing to document and ensure that necessary documentation was submitted prior to proceeding with my appointment instead of saying "well just wait for your bill." The worst of the experience was interacting with the nurse prior to meeting with Dr Kasprowicz. The nurse was already typing what she "thought" I was going to say before I had spoken. I had her read the notes back to me and had to correct what she had written. I get it, nurses are overwhelmed, but it put me on guard a bit. I made the nurse correct things and had to review what was re-written. When I met with Dr Kasprowicz, she was thorough in discussing the concern and discussed treatment options. We decided to conduct an in office procedure. Dr Kasprowicz was quick, but when I was having a minor complication with the procedure, she said, "what are you on *specific medication*", indicating that she did not read my medications in my chart. I wasn't on that medication, but that comment didn't sit well with me. I don't know if it was her or the nurse who didn't review that part. Dr Kasprowicz's other thoroughness made up for this comment. I'll go back here since my insurance is accepted here, but if I do hear of a better dermatologist, I'm open to trying them as well.

My review is actually for Dr. Cobbins at this same practice…read more Almost 1 year after my original BA I am still so thrilled I went with Dr. Cobbins. She was very realistic but also open with me and what I wanted. I always felt taken care of and like I could ask questions. She did a wonderful job addressing my partner's questions too since he would be helping with my aftercare. There was a minor complication that developed preventing my right side from dropping as it should, and Dr. Cobbins was very supportive and proactive about doing a crease revision and I was only charged a partial fee for the anesthesiologist, for the procedure 3 months after my original BA. Dr. Cobbins is approachable, realistic and caring. I had another consultation (NSPS) before deciding on Aesthetic Institue of Chicago and they wanted to charge me more, didn't really listen to me and talked down to me, trying to push me towards an incision style I did not want. I was able to tell Dr. Cobbins what I wanted, she told me what she thought would fit best and I ended up going one size below my maximum. My results are very natural looking but help me finally fill out clothing the way I wanted to. Getting this surgery and having such a supportive surgical team and doctor helped me finally have the confidence I had been searching for over many years. I went wedding dress shopping about three months ago and were it not for my surgery, I don't think I would have enjoyed the experience as much as I did nor felt as good in my dress.

I trusted these surgeons because I'd already had multiple procedures with them, including a tummy…read moretuck this year that went smoothly with minimal pain support and uncomplicated healing. Then I had gluteal fold surgery to remove excess skin under the buttocks extending into the upper thigh. This is not comparable to most surgeries--it's directly in an area of constant pressure, sitting, movement, compression, and tension. The tissue never truly rests. During surgery I was not fully numb and experienced significant pain but felt unable to stop the procedure. Post-op, I was cleared for baths early, which I questioned. Shortly after, the incision opened in an area already under constant compression from body weight. What followed was disappointing: limited aftercare guidance, wound separation, severe ongoing pain, and little acknowledgment of how difficult recovery from this specific procedure can be. I have a small child. I still have to drive, sit, function, and recover. The sharp radiating pain into my tailbone and leg has been unlike any surgery I've experienced. What hurt most was feeling dismissed. I was told pain management could not continue despite my history of being careful and responsible with medication use. I do not drink, smoke, or use drugs. I've even returned unused pain medication after prior surgeries. For me, pain medication is a temporary surgical recovery tool--not a lifestyle. I never expected unlimited medication. I expected my care team to stay involved and help me recover from the surgery they performed. Pain is personal. No surgeon should decide what level of pain a patient should be experiencing--especially in a procedure they themselves have never lived through. I'll find the care I need, but I'm disappointed I had to look elsewhere while recovering from complications and severe pain. I won't return and I can't recommend this practice. I'd hate for someone else to feel abandoned during recovery the way I did.

I developed a cheloid scar and saw several Dermatologists who all told me nothing could be done and I'd have to live with it. I then saw Dr. Horn and he said that he would try different things to see what could be done. He started several injections during several months and finally it was completely gone after say eight months. He is very conscientious and thorough and has a caring personality. I have complete faith in his knowledge and expertise. To top it off, I read some of his wall diplomas and he knows a lot more than just Dermatology! There are several issues like having a credit card on file, that if one thinks about it, is for a good reason. I have never had to wait long on hold or had any other kind of appointment trouble. Dr. Horn loves his job and is someone you could go to have a beer with; he shows he cares about you as a person, not just another patient.

The products significantly improved my skin texture hyperpigmentation. My skin has never looked this healthy and clear. I used to always feel like I needed to wear concealer or tinted moisturizer to achieve an even look. The best part is the store associated with the clinic. I've always found the associates to be really helpful. I've also ordered a few times online and found the process to be really easy and they are delivered quickly. Only negative is that their lot is valet only. There is street parking but it's on a busy street.
