The food is good, never had a problem and have been going there at least 30 years. Paul, one of the owners is absolutely wonderful. The young ladies who take your order are also wonderful very friendly and polite. However, his partner, the other owner, his brother. Geo is the rudest most nastiest individual around. I got an order delivered paid with a credit card. Something must have happened with the driver and the machine. Don't know what, but Geo called me the next day. And falsely accused me of not paying my entire bill. Had to speak with Paul to fix it. Now, every time I call there, if Geo answers the phone, he's always a nasty and route to me. And he tries to stop me from talking to anybody else. But him, that doesn't work with me. As far as service goes not sure what I would rate them only because of Geo. There wasn't for him. I'd give 5 stars for service. The food same thing. read more

Had The last Pasta Fagoli soup and because my sis had cravings for "Neil's" chicken sub this where we wound up. The soup was very hot and a bit bland and needed more seasoning. Put lots of Parmesan cheese in it, but it was also sparse In beans and pasta. Understanding it was last serving , I would not have served it! The chicken cutlet with lettuce subs were made perfectly! After arguing with the man on the phone who said I ordered for pickup, I insisted, per my verifiable online order, that it was indeed ordered for delivery. Everyone that grew up in New Jersey claims their local neighborhood pizzeria is the best and no where else compares. Well that's not what I am here to say about Neil's. Don't get me wrong, I love Neil's and I grew up on them but I have certainly have had better. If you grew up in Wayne NJ and was on the valley side, this was the place to be for pizza. Located in the shopping center across from my high school, this was the hangout spot whether it was during senior lunch or after school. They have all your favorites slices from plain to buffalo chicken to penne vodka. My favorite was the chicken bruschetta. All of the speciality pizzas gets super messy as the toppings falls apart fairly easily so I always end having to use a fork to finish. Pizza is also super oily but that's what you want in a good pizza so I am a-ok with that. I give it 3 stars for good pizza and another star just because it was my childhood pizza place and the memories it brings back for me. LOL, I wrote this for the wrong Neil's but whatever. read more

If you like doughy pizza, Neil's is your place. I'm a thin crust gal myself but this place is all right. They don't skimp on toppings which is pretty cool but they don't put on enough sauce. Thicker crust pizzas need more sauce to complement the dough and I don't believe Neil's has nailed the sauce/crust combo yet. Their delivery is quick and on time. Their prices are reasonable. Good caesar salad. Buffalo chicken sandwich was huge and only $6.50 but it was a little dry. They give you a side of bleu cheese with it but it wasn't enough. read more

More cheese is needed on the Sicilian. The crunch is good, but the sauce was a little light. The regular slice is ok. Not as crisp as I prefer but it had more cheese than the Sicilian. This is the only pizzeria I've tried in Clifton so far. The place is definitely busy during lunch. Seating is limited, best bet is to call in and take it back to the office if you have a group bigger than 4. There's a $10 minimum on all cards. A Sicilian, a regular, and a Snapple will run you $6 and some change. Not a bad lunch, but I'll see if there's better. That's what I do... read more

Not a thing my generation does, more like the soccer mom karen who wants to speak to the manager.... BUT TODAY. That changed. So i ordered Chicken franches with Linguini... simple right? Aparently not. You know what i got? 2 slices of chicken floating in literally lemon sauce. (I LEGITIMATELY couldnt see the chicken through the merky lemon hell water) With the linguini sitting in another tin ...covered in marinara sauce. Called to place a order "1 large supreme pizza and wings", we repeated the order to make sure it was taken down correctly and they confirmed it. When we arrived to pick it up, my friend paid a large amount which was accurate for our order. When we arrived home they gave us a cheese pizza and wings. We called to inform them of the mix up and they said we never placed a supreme. I've never payed Soo much money for 1 large cheese pizza, the owner said that's the correct price and he even tried to play it off that we never ordered a supreme. I always double check my order when placing them just to make sure. The owner wouldn't even correct the order because it was too late, the cheese pizza was already made. He eventually slipped up and said "we don't even have the ingredients for your pizza so we couldn't make it in the first place". If that was the case why not just inform us instead of trying to sell us something else. This is the second time this passed year they messed up my order and were rude about their mistake. Went here one night. Ordered a no-cheese pizza with onions peppers and mushrooms, and some garlic knots. Highly disappointed. It was AWFUL!!!! No flavor. I could barely chew threw the dough including the garlic knots. The sauce for the garlic knots was nasty too. Ordered 3 pizzas this evening, mussels and mozzarella sticks. 90 bucks and it arrived 50 minutes later. Opened the pizzas and the bottom of all 3 were burned.... I called and spoke to the owner and he gave me a hard time. I texted him 3 photos of the bottoms. Called back and he was remaking them. 45 minutes later only 1 pizza arrived. I was so discussed I gave the driver the pizza back. And called I just want my money back, he complained to me that I wasted a pizza. Never again this is not how you do business. He claimed the toppings need to cook. Pepperoni and sausage are already cooked I'm not stupid. I can't believe how rude he was. The food and pizza is A-OK. But yesterday, the kids ordered from the menu that Neil has posted on line. They carefully picked because they only had a limited amount of cash. When the delivery came it was more than they had figured and had to refuse the sodas. Today, I called the owner to see if there was a mistake. He said that the prices on line are different than the real prices and that the prices on line have to be changed. But he did not make me feel that that would happen any time soon or that it was a high priority. So, taking nothing away from their food or service, I would advise that if you order from their menu on line, ask them the price of each item to avoid sticker shock when the delivery arrives. read more

I like my pizza very doughy and saucy, and Neil's has never failed to deliver! I'm not a fan of cardboard with can sauce on it. If I order pizza, I want PIZZA. Neil's has the best tasting pizza in the area, by far. They also have excellent subs and don't stinge you if you ask for any extra toppings. Im proud to say that I have grown up in north jersey (bergen and essex county) my whole life so I am spoiled when it comes to good pizza. Ive tried pizza all over the east coast and places like chicago and IMO nothing compares to north jersey pizza. Now that I work in clifton I was looking for a new pizza place around because I was slightly dissapointed with Villa Roma (i think it was). I saw Neils had a good review so i decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Mussels fra diavalo (i think it just says hot on menu) and of course a couple plain slices to go. At first it appeared like there was going to be just a little bit too much cheese on the slices for my liking. I was wrong as the plain slices are near perfect. The crust was not too crunchy or soft and had good flavor, the sauce and buffalo mozz were also right on point. The mussels were cooked just right and were not mushy like some restaurants. The fra diavalo sauce was delicious and had a nice little kick. All in all 9.5/10 and this is my new spot when at work. read more

First and only time ordering, got a pepporoni stromboli and a ham and cheese calzone, moz sticks, and french fries. 40 minutes was an hour. The boli and the calzone were pretty good, the sticks and fries were undercooked and soggy. Had to put them both in the toaster oven and even then, not impressive. By far the worst order I have gotten from a pizza place in the area . I even created a yelp just to tell this place how much they suck . You ask for potatoes in your cheesesteak and they say yea we got potatoes and they just put French fries in it . Doesn't taste the same at all . Mozzarella sticks were garbage . I even called back to tell them and they said " yea French fry is potato " so I said what if I ordered French fries would you give me an order of hash browns and say " hash brown like French fry , both potato ?" So we've ordered from here for a few years but then stopped because it just got very expensive, the food got worse and worse and service went downhill. Well we got a voucher for a free pizza and decided to give it a try again. Here's the results: Service- No where on the voucher did it say pick up only so I thought it would be great to use it on the day three of my family were sick so we didn't have to go and pick up. We ordered a free pizza as well as an additional $25 of food and they claimed the voucher was only good on pick up. After saying I didn't care if i had to pay a delivery charge they still wouldn't deliver. Whatever girl answered the phone was rather snitty as well. Food- so we ordered anyway, a plain pizza, pastrami sandwich and mozz sticks. The sandwich only came on a sub roll that was rather floppy and soggy. The soggy at least made up for the fact the pastrami was drier than cardboard and there was next to no mustard on it. the mozz sticks weren't even hot when i got them. I threw them in the toaster oven and they still were rather icky. The marinara sauce tasted sour. i know its supposed to be tangy but instead there was too much garlic and a sour aftertaste. the PIZZA all six of us agree.... yuck! The crust wasn't crusty more like bread. Even then it wasn't cook and was doughy. the sauce was nearly flavorless. Overall though it was a greasy mess. you would have a better pizza by spreading sauce and cheese on a kaiser roll and toasting it. Overall, avoid this place there are better places nearby with better service. Very disappointing because they used to be pretty good. read more
