Well.... I bought a pair of pants and left for alterations. When I got home, I saw that the left leg was longer than the right one. I showed up at Neiman Marcus on Topanga Canyon Blvd with the pants, thinking they would fix it. Instead, I was faced with the ridiculous behavior of a seamstress named Goldie, who started arguing with me, claiming that she did a good job and that she didn't see the difference between the left and right sides. The manager told me that she did not see the difference either. Are you kidding me? Two salespeople told me that they could see that the left side was longer. I was able to prove my point only when the second seamstress came over, took a measurement, and confirmed that the left side was much longer! It's crazy how they messed up such a simple situation instead of just fixing it. Additionally, an Armenian salesperson who works there with a Hermes belt is very rude and aggressive. When you ask her about something, she responds with arrogance, saying that she's busy. I believe she thinks that she's a queen of Neiman Marcus or something. Since Neiman Marcus is about to shut down, I hope I never have to meet her at any Neiman Marcus, especially at the Beverly Hills location, as I shop there quite often. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to receive such good service and I didn't even buy anything. It was very quiet for a Sunday afternoon but that's pretty standard and frankly I love to shop when it's NOT crowded. Side note: mall shopping is very depressing these days and I was very sad to see that the department is majority fragrances and a few skincare brands. I guess people don't go to stores to get their makeup done anymore because I saw no one doing makeup at all. Special recognition to Sandy (? iirc) who showed me some nice fragrances. I love to try newer niche brands and Neimans and Saks usually are cutting edge. I fell in love with one from Montale (probably misspelled the name) that she showed me and she offered to put me in debt by signing me up for a Neimans credit card....so tempting lol Also, when I was at the Sisley counter, one of my favorite brands, a handbags associate offered to help me which was very cool. She said "I can help you even though I work in handbags. I'm not sure where the girl went who works there." I said "oh thank you! She's right here but I'll go find you if I need anything". And then I walked away because as much as I love their glosses (they're the best in the world) if you can't even acknowledge my existence then clearly my business isn't appreciated. I'll just walk away and order it from my phone. So when I'm ready to purchase my fragrance I'm going to call and ask for Sandy to make sure she's working. Good job! read more

Jack in the shoe department is amazing. Knows his shoes and takes his time showing you different options for what you want. Mojgan and Flora in the beauty department are the sweetest as well, and very knowledgeable on their perfumes, which is what I shop a lot for. I always love stopping by this Neiman because the service from the SAs is top tier EVERY time, whereas no one will even approach to offer assistance at other department stores in the same mall.
