Neiman Marcus is a seemingly dishonest company! They gave me a one-time courtesy credit back in October with a price lock on another product that they couldn't deliver while I was in town! The problem is the one-time courtesy credit they gave me was immediately removed from my credit card and was used to complete the full credit from the product I returned! They fail to tell you that info. They lie when they tell you your money will be returned within 7-10 business days, really not true! I heard many different timelines: 3-5 days, 7-10 days, or 7-14 business days from when they receive the merchandise. They forget to tell you the shipping times. It took almost 2 weeks to ship from Florida to Texas? Then for it to get processed and checked out... then another 3-5 business days to process your credit. You have to spend hours and hours on the phone with reps that cannot switch you to the correct department. They cannot even get a hold of the correct department nor can they give you the proper information to you!!! So, if you like wasting your time, spending hours and hours on the telephone with agents that are foreigners and seem to be clueless!!! If this is the company you want to deal with, good luck!!! I purchased very expensive Prada shoes through Neiman Marcus online at the end of January 2025. I paid over $1,500, including tax for those shoes. I chose Neiman Marcus for their good reputation and customer service, as I needed a comfortable, good looking shoes. After wearing those shoes a couple of times, the side buckle fell apart. I called Neiman Marcus at the beginning of June. They informed me that they could not accept the shoes back, and that the repair shop will call me within two weeks. I was very disappointed to learn that they do not stand by their products, and I would have to wait so long only for someone to call me about my repair, followed by potentially a month for repairs. I have never met such rude and deceptive people in my life. I came in (don't live here) and bought a foundation. Clé de Peau. The lady swiped my face to 'color match.' It was a good match but shared my skin in sensitive and needed to try it. I bought it and she NEVER said that once opened you cannot return. Had I been told that, I would have had her out on my face to try for the day before I spent $150. Customers should be told that. Well, it did not work. Tried one time the very next day. Went in to return and this lady at the Clé De Peau counter that sold it to me said, "the color match was because I told you you couldn't return." She NEVER said that. And when she rang it up she put the receipt in the bag. When I tried to return she put the receipt in my face and said it's printed at the bottom. I shared that if that was their policy it should be stated prior to the purchase or pointed out on the receipt and not shoved in the bag by the associate. This store can give a crap about customers, instead they only care about their numbers. I left the used products on the counter and walked out. Neiman's should do the right thing. I enjoy shopping at Neiman Marcus in general and really wanted to like this particular location. But alas, the sales folks in the store leave much to be desired. Whenever I try to shop at this location, I'm always left feeling like I infringed on the personal time of the sales people. I have yet to visit and have someone greet me or offer me a fitting room. Because of the lack of service, I will either go to Nordstrom or order from my go-to Neiman sales person in a Dallas, TX. In fact, my go-to Neiman person texts and calls me regularly to check in, gives me a heads up on sales and remembers my preferences and style and will send me pics of what he thinks I will like. This is the closest NM to Sarasota. I needed to exchange my Cassandre WOC (uneven stitching) bought at Neiman's in Va. I called to make sure they carry the brand before driving an hour north. The SA was incredibly helpful. I was passed the 10 day return window but she asked the manager if I could exchange to a different bag since they didn't have the color taupe available. This one probably falls under the category of "oversharing on the internet." I recently had the pleasure of shopping with Raymond in the women's department. He did all the wonderful things we love Neiman Marcus for; started a room, brought me water, he even undressed a mannequin that was wearing the last Alice + Olivia mini dress in black (that I simply needed) for me to try on. I didn't purchase the dress. What I did find was jeans. Something I haven't purchased in a looooooong time and most certainly not since gaining (a lot) of weight (that I needed to). It took me a couple dozen sniffles, a hand squeeze or 5 from my husband, and a lot of patience but I was successful. When I was finally making my final purchases Raymond made note of the jeans and commented that the maker is a great choice for jeans with a shorter inseam. I told him it was my first time buying jeans after gaining a lot of weight. It's not a big deal or anything but what he said actually made me cry. It was the first time I have said something about gaining weight and instead of being met with "oh haven't we all" or "don't worry you can lose it again" or even something kinder(?) like "but you look great!" he gave me the knowingest look and said calmly "good for you" and then he smiled and moved on with the conversation. His kindness and patience from the start are worthy of sincere kudos and corporate congratulations. I purchased a shirt from Neiman Marcus and am a good customer with them. I occasionally come in and buy items that I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. This particular shirt that I purchased seemed like it was going to be fantastic, but after trying it on I realized that the seams didn't line up and the plaid was crooked. When I brought the item back to the store, I dealt with an older gentleman with white hair who was the customer service manager of the men's store, named Larry. He refused to allow me to return the item, and even stated it was my prerogative not to ever shop with Neiman Marcus again. I was very pleasant with him and didn't deserve to be treated with that degrading remark. How do people like this have jobs? Seriously get off your high horse and accept that you are supposed to be serving customers, hence your title Customer Service Manager.
