I have great experiences at this store. People go out of their way to help me and give me their honest opinions. They are clever, thoughtful, hardworking and creative. Some that come to mind; lovely woman of color in ladies, Sue in ladies, Italian lady in ladies (please forgive me. I can't remember all of their names.) the seamstress mimosa, Leanne in bags & Michael, a new addition to shoes who really is thoughtful, understood my aesthetic, and brought me his own favorites to try, of which I bought one. I have shopped here for years. Neiman's has great quality and wearable fashions for every occasion.

So I bought a pair of Christian red bottom shoes and bag in store back in October, the bag was under a promo if I spend a certain amount I get a gift card, I called on 1/3/25 to see what happened with the gift card, I was told someone would get back to me, nobody did, so i called this morning asked for a manager was told, there was no manager or supervisor to help me, gave me a gift card number to call I call they tell me that the bag was not under promo which it was I seen it online, he goes to say that was only online, but your having the promo in store and online, the lady RU who I purchased the bag from told me I would get the gift card, now I have no gift card, I feel she only told me that to get the sale. I'm canceling my credit card with them and I'm not purchasing from this location ever again!!!!! read more

This is about the Prada store at Neiman Marcus. I bought a leather handbag but when I brought it home nobody liked it. So I decided to return it. The salesperson by the name of Stephanie (never encountered someone with her level of rudeness) decided that the shape of the bag has changed due to heat. I'm writing this review on July 29th 2023, the heat reached today 93°. I stopped by my hairdresser for an appointment which 1.5 hours. If the heat of the car for one hour and a half is going to change the shape of the bag, what kind of product am I getting for $3500.00 Rest assured I will be taking them to small claims court. In the meantime, don't shop there at all. If you're looking for unparalleled customer care and professionalism, shop elsewhere. read more

I love shopping at this store since the 1980's, when it was Bergdorf Goodman. I still shop here, even though I now live in Forest Hills and I'm very attached to it because I spent so much time here when I was growing up in White Plains. I've been searching for Fahrenheit by Dior for my father, as a gift. My father suffers from dementia and needs the things he's familiar with around him- he doesn't want to try anything new. Tony Lorie in Fragrances was AMAZING. He searched the Neiman Marcus website to see if he could find my father's fragrance, and when he couldn't find it, he called Parfumelle in Texas for me so they could ship it to my father. Mr. Lorie engaged my father whist I was on the phone making this purchase - he really went above and beyond. My father is hard of hearing but Mr. Lorie was patient and very sweet with him. I wasn't expecting this level of customer service and I am very impressed with Mr. Lorie. I bought a bottle of Robert Piguet Visa from him and he quickly rang up my purchase using my Bergdorf Goodman card. These two transactions took 10 minutes, at the most. Mr. Lorie really made my day and I can't wait until my father's gift arrives from Texas. This level of customer service makes shopping at Neiman Marcus a pleasure and reinforces my love and belief in this store. read more

This is a review for the delivery of a very expensive item that was stolen by either someone at the NM warehouse or by Fedex. Ordered Baccarat Rogue twice, both times the box came empty and ripped up. Customer service gets at A+ for being helpful and fully refunding the cost, but it was very disheartening both times. Highly recommend going to the store in person for any and all luxury items. I hope the thieves at NM get caught and sent to jail. read more

Less than impressed. There were multiple sales folks hovering around one customer and presumably her family while no one greeted me until I had walked through the entire first floor. Then, I was greeted rather briskly and when I said I was just looking, the sales person sort of glared at me and seemed irritated. I said I was meeting someone and they replied 'nice for you'. What on earth does that mean? I was in my favorite department - shoes - where I've been known to spend money on items I don't need. Now, I'm traveling, so the chance of me putting an extra pair of shoes in my bag is slim, but you never know (as the NJ Nordstrom sales person learned a few years ago when I bought too much during the anniversary sale). In any case, perhaps I wasn't dressed nicely enough (are jeans and a trench coat not acceptable for shopping these days?)...but I found the staff either dismissive or rude (or totally not paying attention). Very unimpressed and I'm way more inclined to buy designer shoes elsewhere as I do not enjoy working with folks at stores that aren't pleasant. I've tried to give Niemans a chance a few times and I'm always disappointed (and this is at multiple locations, so I suppose it's just their service model). read more

Came by this location to pickup a Chanel bag at the Chanel boutique. Rachel was amazing. I called ahead to see if they had a bag in stock and she went way beyond my expectations. Came to the woman's dress dept. with my wife to find something for a black tie event. They have virtually nothing. Every dress hanging comes in maybe one or two sizes. Of course, very little (2) in my wife's size which is an 8 OR 10. This is a fairly common size. Also, the saleswoman is more interested in her phone than helping. When she does help, she's distant and aloof. I expect MUCH MORE from Neimans. When I asked the saleswoman for a fur for my wife she proceeded to say, that's one floor down! Really? Don't you work on commission? I had to insist she go down and pick one to try with my wife's dress. She walked away again, uninterested and aloof. Unbelievable. Why are we shopping here? read more

In general, I have good experiences shopping there. Know a few really awesome SAs (sales associates), so whenever I go there I always look for them! However, occasionally (unluckily), those SAs weren't there (day off or their break time). During those times, my friend and I came across a few rude and/or "judge-y" SAs (especially a lady at the handbag section. Definitely not very polite. My entire family will never shop with this company ever again. Repeatedly I have called to make a purchase over the phone on multiple occasions and the last time I was physically in the store. As I called to do an item check I was given the run around as the sales associates sat and let the phone ring, as I watched and sat on the phone for 30 minutes someone picks up the phone and acts like they were searching for the shoe and shortly hung up the phone. Not to mention no one paid enough attention to realize I was in the store the entire time watching this happen! It's ridiculous. My review focuses more on the Chanel boutique and not the whole store. Walking into this place it definitely looks like a museum. The SAs on the floor as I went to the Chanel boutique were friendly and said hello as I passed by. I know that other reviews mentioned the SAs all huddled together, when I was there they were also all together but the store wasn't busy, so I don't know why they wouldn't be standing together chatting to pass the time. For the Chanel boutique itself, I highly recommend working with Joan. She was so sweet and answered all my questions. At no time did I ever feel pressured to buy. Love when the SA is excited with you on your purchase! I'm so happy with my purchase and will be back again to shop the larger store. read more

Beautiful store, great cosmetics area. They have everything you could possibly want as long as you have lots and lots of money. Here's a tip: check out their house brand accessories, such as clutches. Classic designs and not too expensive. Tried to walk through the cosmetics area this weekend though and an employee stepped in my path. She was speaking softly, but kept blocking my path as I tried to maneuver around her. This place is great not only are they helpful the fragrance section anywhere from Creed colognes, to Guerlain and many other tough to find offerings other merchants don't carry. I have been here a few times and have to say the associates are very helpful in making their customers happy. I have yet to be disappointed. Creed Cologne can be and is very expensive and they have let me sample the "King" of colognes Creed Aventus. Nancy at the Creed counter is a very nice lady she let me have a sample of that and Virgin Island Water so a big thank you to her for those. As well as the Tom Ford counter, Guerlain, and Jo Malone. I get that everyone is trying their best due to Covid, but this store has and will always be known for horrible customer service and snobby sales ladies especially the old ladies on the second floor ladies department. They solely judge you based on your appearance - if you're not wearing designer, you have no business being in their store. In fact, they're annoyed if you ask them a question - they just can't be bothered. My sister and her special needs daughter came into the store and weren't done up, and mind you, we are minorities so not your usual white privileged people. When the sales ladies saw them, they looked at them from head to toe and asked them what were they doing there! They didn't ask if they needed help, etc....they basically said that they didn't belong there. I was waiting for my sister to help me out in the dressing room and the sales ladies didn't even bother to show her the way. Here's the bigger tell tale sign that this store will never change and likely to go bankrupt like the rest of Nieman Marcus....I told the assistant store manager about it who said that she would have the store manager get in touch with me regarding our experience. No one ever got in touch with me. This is the Nieman Marcus I know...don't care about people at all. I will only shop online and avoid the store at all costs. My money goes to Nordstrom....Nieman should just not exist...this is what happens when you have rude people working for you! Was very happy with my recent shopping experience at Neiman. I was in search of a pair of Prada sunglasses, and was helped by a gentlemen on the men's floor. He opened the glasses case and let me try on numerous pairs. (he was very patient, haha) Although he did stare and sort of watch me try on pairs, which made me a little uncomfortable, he was very helpful with all of my questions. I decided on a pair that I loved, and he took me into the back to complete the purchase. I left with the silver Neiman bag, but realized that I was given a Tom Ford case instead of the matching Prada one. I went back in to the same salesman, who apologized for his mistake (since the glasses did look similar to Tom Fords) and immediately fetched me the right case. Despite the little mishap, my SA was very attentive and respectful. I was pleased with the customer service here. The men's floor is a bit on the small side and tends to have higher end products than, say, the adjacent Nordstrom. However, the selection, while smaller, is very impressive (and expensive! Whoa!) I still love to come in and browse around. read more

Too much emphasis on women's wear, and menswear relegated to the basement floor. Disgraceful. Since my original post, Kiehl's has taken over what used to be the Guerlain counter. They expanded fragrance and beauty, moved precious jewellery where stationary and home goods were on the first floor. Always seems to be quiet, while Nordstrom is bustling with customers. It still looks tired, even after a renovation, since the building is about forty-five years old now. NM is in disastrous financial shape, and it definitely shows. I hate this Neiman Marcus. I have been shopping at this store for about 2 years now. Every time I enter, I am never greeted by an associate. A majority of them are always on their phones. I had stood in front of an associate for at least a minute before they even acknowledged me. When I ask them if they have a particular item they just point and say over there somewhere, or I have even had associates tell me they don't carry a brand I've asked for when I knew they did. Its not like they were busy...they were all free and looked at me up and down, with my crappy gym attire since I swung by after spin class. Basically this is it....people...Neiman Marcus does not care about customer satisfaction, they only care about your money. Unlike the Neiman Marcus that I used to shop at in Hawaii, you truly have to weed through the "Beverly Hills attitude" of employees to find one that is down to earth.
