Never been to Nekter before, but I recently got into açaí bowls and have been around to a few places now. I was recommended Nekter by my boyfriend who is very big on açaí bowls. We were excited to try out this new location but were pretty disappointed. We got the Açaí Mango and Açaí Banana Berry - the presentation was subpar to the location in Coconut Creek. The flavor was pretty good and the granola was great. These bowls cost around $9.50 without any additional add ons. You can add about 6 other toppings including chia seeds and peanut butter for $1 extra each. They have gourmet vegan peanut butter cups, muffins, and juices. According to the staff it is cheaper to have the juice made fresh than get the bottle ($8). The staff was really nice and the establishment was very clean. I understand this is a new location and look forward to coming back when they are more experienced in this area. read more

I had my first açaí bowl today and it was delicious! I got the açaí banana berry with peanut butter... YUM. The store is super clean and tidy. I was greeted right away by two young ladies who were very nice. I just wish they would have explained the menu to me when I told them it was my first time and I've never had an açaí bowl before... even the girl who walked in after me had never been there and her and I were talking about the menu and the staff never stepped in. I found myself looking around the store after I ordered and wish I would have ordered other things as well like the protein balls or a layer of the chia seed pudding in my bowl. Love the açaí bowls hate the service. There is always something wrong with the service here. Today I placed my order to be picked up during my lunch time. I purposely placed it 30 minutes before I could pick it up because I know that they take forever here!! I came 30 minutes later to pick up my açaí bowl. The employees where no were to be found. They were in the back sitting down talking while I watched them. I then ask for my order and of course they had around 5 to 7 orders in those printers of pick ups not even touched. So now I wait 20 minutes for my açaí bowl to be made because of course they had been sitting down talking and to go orders had been sitting in the printer while they talked in the back. Very very unprofessional place. If the açaí weren't good I would 100% never come back. Horrible service always!!! There is always a problem! They serve me an açaí bowl open. I've been here at least 5 times in the past 6 months because it's convenient but it's just been going downhill. Some of the kids that work there are really sweet and friendly and others make it clear they'd rather be anywhere else. My main issue is the last few times I've been in they've been skimping on the portions and only filling the bowls halfway. I thought maybe it was just a few off days but it's been consistent my last couple visits. When I questioned an employee she replied she was trained to only fill the bowls to around the halfway mark. Meanwhile the pictures in the store and their website show the bowls filled to the brim. They are cashless except for a tip jar, and their pay system is frequently down causing customers to have to wait for their system to be rebooted. Also, they have a tip prompt when checking out with a suggested gratuity starting at 20%. I really want to like this place but I just can't justify paying their asking price and being left hungry. I'll be driving to Bahia Bowls in Boynton Beach going forward. read more

So close but so far They claim to be healthy but then the acai has added sugar why not use make syrup or honey? the yogurt has corn starch why not use maple syrup or honey, the ice cream that they are touting as healthy only comes in crazy flavors or mixed. Pretty good açaí bowls and very fresh but they need more help or a better ordering process. Highly recommend ordering ahead before going. Since this was our first visit we weren't aware and It was 10-12minutes in line before ordering and then15-20 minutes before the 1st açaí bowl was delivered to the table and another 8-10 for the 2nd to be delivered. There are 5 inside tables and they were all sticky and unclean because the only 2 employees were busy making smoothies and bowls. Post Covid unwiped tables guarantee I won't return for an inside visit. So, unless their product is so good that I will make the trip to pick it up or they deliver I won't be back. Unfortunately neither of those situations apply. I also found their prices to be out of line for the majority of other good places in the area. I placed an order through the Nekter app 3 hours prior to my arrival. As I am standing in line to pick up my juice cleanse order, I receive a text from a store employee informing me that they do not have one of the juices required for the cleanse and asked if I would be willing to substitute a different juice for the one they didn't have. As it turned out they didn't have several of the juices and I had to end up cancelling one of my cleanse days due to their lack of inventory. Additionally they could not give me any kind of receipt stating that they would refund one day of this cleanse. Unfortunately, this is the third they have not been able to get an order right. The app should let you know there is insufficient inventory prior to you having to pay for everything then get to the store and be disappointed. This seems to be a Nekter problem, not just Delray location as I've had similar situations at other Nekter locations as well. I won't be buying anything from Nekter ever again. We are a big smoothie family! We've been making them for over 14 years. My teenage son is allergic to dairy, so finding a place with decent smoothies is near non existent.
