Oh my gosh so disappointed again. This Nekter is just so inconsistent. We ordered a Peanut butter bowl. It was so drenched in peanut butter like an inch thick layer. Yuck! I had them remake the bowl and the bowls were two different colors, two different flavors. The employees in here seem to always make me feel like I'm interrupting them. Service is just not welcoming or friendly. This is the closest location to my house but going to have to find another Nekter to visit. The waffles were on a different visit to this location and it was so different than the other locations we have been to. This juice bar is often overlooked because of the many food options nearby. It's important however, that you don't miss this great smoothie and açaí bar! Nekter exceeds expectations for pressed or fresh squeezed juices, açaí bowls, or smoothies. The employees there are nice and consistently provide welcoming service. Seating is limited but I love coming to this location for a nice smoothie and then take it to get tacos next door! I placed a to-go order and immediately noticed that my usual order looked completely different. I ordered a PB&J bowl, which normally includes peanut butter pudding. Instead, my bowl contained dried chia seeds in place of the pudding. Ava M., who took my order, prepared it, and later addressed my concern, told me that this was how it was supposed to be. I explained that I order this item regularly and it has never been served this way. She insisted that sometimes the pudding is liquid and sometimes it is thick, but this was not pudding at all. This experience was extremely disappointing. If the peanut butter pudding was unavailable, the proper and professional response would have been to inform me so I could choose a different option. Serving a substitute without explanation and then dismissing a valid concern shows a lack of honesty and customer care. Tipped in advance on the app for a pick up order. Arrived and was not acknowledged at all by the employee behind the counter cutting fruit. I stood at the pick up area (I was the only customer in the place). For over two minutes waiting to be acknowledged. I could hear another couple employees right around the corner - one finally peeked out and saw me. She asked if I had a pick up and I said yes and gave my name. She grabbed my order out of the fridge and just said here you go. I felt unwelcome, unappreciated for the $12.00 drink and tip I gave in advance, and frankly like an inconvenience. How about this ? "Welcome to Nekter, do you have a pick up order? Someone will be right with you, my hands are full here as I'm finishing this up . . . Let me grab another employee (2 of which are 10 feet away) to grab your order !" Then whoever grabs my order says "Here is your order, enjoy ! Are usually have to go in line to notify them that I am here for a mobile order, even if I'm waiting on the side where you pick up your order. The last time I came to this location and I placed an order online through the app. The wait time was supposed to be for 10 to 15 minutes, but I waited almost half an hour. The staff member was nice and upgraded me to a larger size, however the smoothie was not up to my expectations, especially since I generally order the same thing. Usually smoothies are a little bit thicker and colder, but the last time I was here, it was very, very, very watery and lukewarm. By that point I already waited for so long that I just took the "smoothies" I ordered and left. Usually, the bowls are filled up to the rim; however, this past time I went it was filled half way with barely any fruit and was very liquidy for being an acai bowl. ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I don't ever write reviews.. but this visit was so incredibly terrible, I almost laughed. Honestly, it was one of the worst "human" experiences I've had too. Employees were borderline functional. No eye contact, would not answer direct questions (this was the most shocking), and when I received only part of my order and asked if the last item was being made I had to ask multiple people, and the initial response was "let me see if you paid for that"... (I did eventually receive my final item, but it just took so many times asking that I almost laughed at how uninterested everyone was in talking to me/doing their jobs). I usually have great experience but this time was awful enough to write about. I have an allergy to banana. I always tell them allergy to banana and they make it correctly. I swap bananas for pineapple so I can have something I'm not allergic to. Not only did they charge me to swap today banana for pineapple and usually they don't, they gave me pineapple and as I started to eat it, banana was underneath. I had to throw away a 13$ bowl. It's super disappointing when I called they were not overly apologetic when yes banana won't Jill me but my tongue and mouth go numb. The least they could do is apologize and be kind. I felt blamed. This place is great! I am an avid Nekter addict and I go to locations all around Arizona. This one is one of my personal favorites. They make the orders with pinpoint accuracy and really do help with the ordering process. Just don't be surprised if you order a drink or bowl with no agave, added sugar, or barely any fruit, and it tastes "healthy"... this place is no bs about their nutrition.
