Your expectation should be that you're buying junk: broken, missing parts, doesn't work ... even if it says new. If it's a good product you'll be pleasantly surprised. Also, this location is a nightmare to get in and out of Friday-Monday, but they have parking helpers who are super helpful. Returns are fairly easy, but the 7 days should be 10-14 days. Hard to do a 7-day turnaround if you work. Overall buyer beware. They're happy to take your money, but they do sell trash. read more

Nellis Auction is such a blessing! Savvy buyers can purchase so many items for their home, businesses at terrific prices! I've been using Nellis Auction for a while now, and it's become one of my favorite local resources. Pick‑up is incredibly easy--the attendants come right to your vehicle and even help guide you in and out of the (very) busy parking lot. Bidding is simple, the prices are fantastic, and the customer service has been consistently great. If you're a loyal customer, they'll even credit "mis-bids" without charging the usual fee, which I really appreciate. Returns are also quick and hassle‑free within 7 days. My only real concerns: Auction house could check the items more carefully (many times a missing piece is not noted in the details) or one time I got a childs toy that was moldy!! (and I threw it away immediately!). The parking lots can get a bit hair, which sometimes is a real concern but usually the Nellis staff is helpful in getting you in and out safely (I do have concerns for the staff safety at times!). Also, I'd love to see 1-2 more photos of the actual items. Most listings have one stock photo and one other picture--many times the picture of the item is already bagged up so you can't even see which can makes it hard to judge size or quality. Reading the description and notes does help, and checking the Amazon product page (when appropriate) fills in most gaps, but an extra photo or two would make a big difference. Nellis auction use to be reliable for only listing lots of useable items by opening the boxes and checking the items and displaying a photo of the actual item to be bid on. Nellis Auction needs to stop lying to people saying that items are new and complete when it's obvious that parts are missing or something is broken. So many times I won auction items and had to return them because they were mislabeled. Sometimes i was just too upset that i threw the items in the trash. It just wasnt worth my time to go back and return them. I finally had enough and i'm done using Nellis Auction. I'm going to Mac.bid. i've bought quite a few items there and never had an issue. Fortunately they do have a no questions 7 day return policy. If you live nearby and it is easy to make returns, you can find some great deals. Today was a bad day for the Nellis auction team I have picked up from several locations for several months now but today would have to be the worst. Wen I arrived the check in girl (FRIEDA) was standing on the curb and as soon as I parked she then turned away and walked off to someone else not in her section so I scanned the QR code on the parking space and as soon as I was done checking in she walked over to me and asked for my number I said "I already did it" and before I could even state that I do have a check in she turned away and said "fine check urself in" with the biggest attitude for no justified reason so I stuck my head out the window and said "I didn't need ur attitude" and she ignored me and kept walking so I then yelled at her "get me ur f-ing supervisor. I then exited my vehicle to open my truck for my items for pick up and I asked the traffic director to call for his supervisor which he did after 20 mins of waiting I hear over the radio the supervisor ask wut happened and this girl (FRIEDA) told her she came over to me to check me in and I started yelling at her so she walked away. Biggest lie I've heard all week and I got 3 kids. I waited 5 more mins before the manager came over I explained to her wut happen and she did not give me the confidence that she is going to actually take action and to write this girl up for misconduct but I also found out this (FREIDA) girl didn't even report to the supervisor I asked for them so I have a feeling the supervisor is taking the employees side and writing me off. read more

Now i recd a notice that I was double charged for recent auctions and am puzzled as to why and how this happened. It has taken forever to receive my refund which Nellis seems to be blaming on the bank rather than taking responsibility. Generally, you can find some petty amazing items but there will be the off chance your item goes missing before pickup or the item isn't what was shown online. It pays to check all photos and read any description prior to bidding to avoid fees for unwanted items. Luckily they do have a 7 day return policy for a full refund to either original payment or store credit for future use. Just be careful about letting items expire in your cart or missing scheduled appointment. Doing so will result in you being charged relisting/restocking fees which can add up and inevitably get you banned from bidding all together. All in all I do love the sight and have some pretty awesome things. read more

I used to love Nellis auction. All of their locations had great service, better prices and I looked forward to browsing their thousands of offerings. Over the last year the company has seemed to have shifted their priorities from form & function to solely maximizing profit. I understand that making money is the ultimate goal but how can you justify changes such as raising minimum bids from $1 to $3, $4 or $5, the addition of "extra time" during the last 30 seconds of auctions with established closing times and the emergence of what can only be described as "suspicious bidding patterns" where items are routinely being bid up to and sometimes even exceeding MSRP for molested or incomplete product??? It's difficult to accept these changes taking place while I watch your customer base being forced to endure increasingly vague/wholly inaccurate descriptions and photos, the growing frequency of items won at auction being lost or unaccounted for all while being tended to by so many new undertrained and disinterested staff. This is my perspective as a customer whom has spent tens of thousands of dollars at your various locations and estate sales. After nearly 1,700 items purchased, I expect better from Nellis Auction and am no longer satisfied nor excited by my shopping experience as I had been in the past. I will attach a screenshot to verify my voluminous claim. This doesn't even address the parking situation at your Dean Martin location which has become nearly untenable. It is very important to read the descriptions 3x over. It is to your best interest to also make sure your items are all present when your at your appointments. "The fish rots from the head down." Las Vegas is headquarters to Nellis. In my experience, only 10% of the things they sell are as described. It's their fault that the stuff is bait and switch over and over. See posted photos. This was old to me as brand new. Nobody bothered to peek inside the open sided packaging or.... ? The photos were taken less than an hour after picking this crap up. I called them and they told me not to bring it back, just throw it away. You know what that makes the customer? An UNPAID NELLIS EMPLOYEE. They leave it up to us to find out if the merch is saleable or not instead of doing a good job. I am consistently surprised at how great their employees are. Even when they're running huge boxes out to your car in 110°. Their phone customer service is fast friendly and I've never had an issue with the dozens of orders I've placed. When you call a human being answers the phone and quickly helps you. I've call my place, "The House that Nellis Auction Built". It's the best and least expensive way to get nice things that you couldn't otherwise maybe fit into your budget. Since the description is not always accurate. They now have a policy that you can return anything within 7 days for any reason and no fee. They place a minimum bid which goes to show how greedy they are. First they said the bid extension time was for customers, but have you seen the time extension before. I saw an item that should have ended, but kept being extended because customers keep bidding. So really, you consumers are NOT getting a DEAL, more like being robbed. A coworker mentioned Nellis Auction to my husband and I a while back, and he's been hooked - I've come by to pick up a few of his orders and the process is typically fast and smooth. After seeing him get a few great deals, I started using the site myself. So far, we have only had a couple of issues with items being damaged - out of maybe 40 orders, two minor things. We've never tried to return anything. The site itself is fairly easy to navigate and the option to mark something for your "watch list" is helpful if you are not ready to bid. If you're looking for specific items, this site likely isn't your best bet but if you can be flexible, they have great deals. As for the bidding process, it can be confusing at first but you'll have the best luck if you wait til the last minute (literally) and have a set maximum in mind. Okay, we need to talk about Nellis Auction. The concept is sound here. You basically bid on items that other people have returned to sites like Amazon, and are usually able to get great prices on a wide array of items. It sounds awesome, and when it works, it is! Unfortunately, a lot of the time, people return items for a reason... We have made several orders here for various things, mostly household stuff like fans or oven covers or workout equipment. 80% of the items we have bought are broken, missing pieces, or not what was advertised. Be warned, there is absolutely no quality control here. They will sell you a broken item and not give a poop. They will simply take the returned broken item and repost it until someone stops returning it. It's not the employees fault, either. The volume of business here is insane. The business model is simply one that encourages quick listing and turnaround. We did have a great experience buying a couch, but even that was missing a piece. It's a huge gamble buying items from this place. We have returned so many things that I think we are done with it at this point. If you want to gamble, go for it. This place has really gone downhill over the past year or so. It started when they changed the bidding system "to make it more fair for bidders." No, you changed it so you could get more money. And now they've changed it so every item has a minimum bid greater than $1. Some of the items I looked at, the minimum bid was $5. What if no one wants to pay $5? Are you going to just keep relisting it for $5? Ridiculous!!! And let's talk about how many items I've had to return lately because the item had significant damage? The auction listed the item as New, yet it's obvious the item was opened and used and damaged and then put back in the box and taped up. If you're going to run a business like this, at least inspect the items, like you claim to do.
