I came into the location today and rented a Budget truck from Rebecca and she was extremely helpful and appreciative of the business. I am finally moving my things to Arizona and I'm sad to be exiting the storage facility. The whole team has been nothing but kind and knowledgeable from start to finish. Highly recommend! The truck was clean and ready when I arrived which was nice. I saw the previous complaint on here about the insurance on the truck and only a fool wouldn't understand you need insurance to drive a vehicle like this since most car insurances don't cover trucks of this weight. Manager tried to add extra charges and higher prices than website listed. She made a copy of my license in color and took my credit card information before I agreed to the higher charges. I canceled the reservation and cargo van and walked. The male worker was nice but the female manager was very rude and nasty. Poor customer service and tried a switch and bait deal. I guess in life, you get what you pay for. Units are cheap but service is absolutely horrible. First, they weren't going to offer the rate and unit size that we reserved online because apparently, it's a third party reservation system that doesn't tie into their system. Then, when questioned about the unit and the rate that was promised, the lady behind the counter said "would you rather go somewhere else?" If the business owner ever knew that employees were voluntarily sending business away, they probably wouldn't be happy. Just a guess. But wait, there's more. They let us choose a gate code, but when we tried to enter, the code didn't work so they had to issue us a new code. Then, they tried to give us a unit on the 2nd floor when we specifically requested a ground level unit. Wasted a lot of time just trying to get a simple storage unit. read more

Dirt cheap but the worst service and facility conditions ever. Staff NEVER fixes the elevators, swamp coolers have been broken for over a year. There is zero access to the corporate office if there is one, to complain to try to get something fixed. Never answer the phone and never get calls back. People are living in the units. Light bulbs never get changed out. Use to be better service when the brother and sister ran things. It is cheap though if you can deal with everything. read more

I have read the other opinions about Nellis Self Storage and I am so sorry for all those bad experiences but they looks so in the past to me or perhaps there are just people confusing places reviewing here in Yelp. I was looking everywhere in Las Vegas for an affordable storage and I couldn't find it in the center of the city, it takes my 10 minutes driving but I am very please with the price of my unit , with the friendly and warm people working there, with all the cameras around the property, with the insurance they provide, all areas inside are very clean, elevator works properly oh well, the elevators are slow but those are heavy lifting elevators that's the way those suppose to be. my access code works perfect since the first day I was there, yes, one access code per each storage unit, so they control who is entering to the property, security is primordial and they have it ! If you decide to go there remember to ask for the free Padlock. One thing they should improve but isn't enough to lose an star in my review: inside the storage building I prefer to have sensors for light activation and not to have to touch the light switch at the wall. I know what I want and I am not afraid to go for it . read more

The manager Kyra is a complete joke. She is the rudest person I have ever encountered. We asked her a simple question and were met with a foul attitude. She then proceeded to throw keys at me and my mom, and then had the audacity to scream at us and insulted us when we said we didn't appreciate how we were being treated/having things thrown at us. She then screamed at us to get out and called the security guard who cussed us out and threatened us. Mind you, this was all because we called her out on her horrible attitude/treatment of customers. After we stepped outside of the office, she and the security guard locked up the store and left just because they felt like it. As they left, they left the gate to all of the storage units WIDE OPEN. So clearly they don't care about making sure storage units are protected/secure. Don't bother with this "business". It's shady as hell and filled with horrible people. The place is filthy and unsafe. She also runs the Budget Truck business in this building as well. There was a little bit of a challenge with the truck I rented, David at this location jumped in and helped me get it taken care of with world-class customer service. You can tell he cares about doing a good thing for people, he went above and beyond to resolve the concern and get me out the door with a good result. Under New Management which as a client I feel I should have been notified. 1st couple months of switch was stressful and frustrating and honestly were hell.(Jen some sort of management was rude unprofessional and would not work or listen to the problem I was having with them charging my card without permission). Joe at the front desk is AWESOME very helpful always as been called me back in a prompt time and I'm still there because of him. Calls if my unit looks off or I forgot to lock correctly. One star is too generous. When you see this business, run the other way as fast as you can! My trailer was here less than a month before it was broken into. Kyra at the front desk is totally unprofessional. I closed the account twice because I kept getting charged after Kyra had supposedly closed my account. I finally went down and advised them about still being charged and Kyra was extremely rude and refused to reimburse me my two months rent they charged me. If I could move from this place I would. I am alone and my son is not allowed on property (former employee) so I have to stay put. My rent has been raised twice since I have been there (9 months). I moved into an apartment and needed a few things from my unit, when I got there the lights in front of my unit were out, I asked the young man if they could replace the light bulbs so I could see inside my unit. He said the lights were on back order but they will be replaced soon. I asked if the air conditioner could be turned on he said the maintenance guy will be turning them on soon. This was at 10:30 am. The storage opens at 9, why should the tenants be waiting on them? I thought that's what we paid rent for? Well I returned a couple weeks later to the storage to get a few more things I needed. The lights are still not fixed and the air was still not on yet again at around 11 am. When asked about the lights the young man says they are waiting for the owner to bring them from California. I am pretty sure they sell light bulbs here in Nevada! Now, they will say I am complaining because my son is a former employee of this crooked place but this is not true. I am not that kind of person. I am a tenant there that simply wants what I pay for. Raising rent twice in 9 months, a/c working and lights that are working so I can see inside my unit is not too much to ask for. I also find it funny that the only place the lights are out in the entire place are right in front of my unit! Could this be because of my son or is it coinsidence ? Also, have your employees at work on time to answer the phone and turn on the a/c! read more

This is a nice facility with a variety of spaces. I've rented here for two years. The new owner/manager is sometimes gruff, sometimes friendly, but is not capable of running this facility: repeatedly, over the past few months, the entry and exit gates have malfunctioned, making access IMPOSSIBLE during hours when someone wasn't in the office. Very inconvenient for me. I've called three times about this and have NEVER received a return call. So, add rudeness to incompetence. All the owner/manager would need to do is call an electrician. After our initial visit and introduction to the new "owner", who apparently is not the owner or even "management " but what seems to be purely an employee of sorts we had high hopes for the rest of our stay here. It has been two months since this initial meeting and I can only confirm that once more we were fed a handful of promising amendments and a fistful of empty promises and unfulfilled changes. Not only were we asked and bribed to make our initial review but afterwards, his end of the agreement was never fulfilled. I did not feel my initial review to be untrue or misleading because leaving there that afternoon I was very hopeful and optimistic for our future with this company. I also felt the 5 star review fit what I was led to believe the company was making moves and changes to become yet I was let down. I am no longer in a position to just up and move storage facilities due to personal difficulties and financial restrictions but once I am this move with be my first. read more
