To give some clarity on its journey, I had 2 chairs, a 100-year-old tea set and some fragile wall oddly shaped art that all went on one pallet. The pallet according to the tracking was transferred about 6 times on other trucks to make it here so it was bumped around countless times in terminals being loaded and unloaded. Their price was in the middle of the two other companies we narrowed it down too but we decided to do Eco Movers due to our initial reaction of getting quotes and questions answered. They were very responsive and I could tell they were not trying to hit you over the head with hidden fees or additional costs like some of the other companies. Everything they quoted was a set price with no fluctuations. We booked everything a few months in advance to be proactive but Leury and his team made sure to check in with us before moving day. He came by and did a walk through of our 3 bed/2 story home to make sure he and his team had what they needed. The only thing I wasn't expecting was to pay for the blankets used for wrapping, but I take responsibility for that as Leury was not aware that our belongings would be staying in storage, and did not want to remove the blankets so our stuff wouldn't be damaged. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and had no issues paying the extra for that. The guys that arrived to pack our stuff were so nice. We had about 3 guys show up and they did their thing. They made sure to point out any of our furniture that had previous dings or cracks and took pictures for reference. They were super quick and efficient and wrapped our fragile and heavy furniture. We did the packing ourselves and only hired them to move so we appreciated them wrapping things as part of their service. After they were done we were given an estimated time of arrival for our items and as always, they stayed in communication with us along the way. They gave us daily updates of where our load was on the journey. We had someone else be there for when our load arrived and they let us know everything went smoothly! I love how thorough the whole Eco Movers team was. I always felt like my things were safe and taken care of. We also had 2 Jeeps that needed transporting and Leury and his team recommended us to their partner Mark who was equally honest and reliable. They also quoted us fixed quotes without any hidden fees, and stayed in constant communication with us. We met our driver (Enrique) across the street from our neighborhood to drop off our cars. I would note that they need space to unload some cars to put yours on, so meeting them in a more feasible location may be a thing. Thankfully we had a big lot across from our neighborhood so we just walked back after our cars were dropped off. The company used was Onway Logistics. I appreciated them providing a tracking link so you can track your cars along the way. They arrived a day before schedule and we also had someone pick the cars up for us and everything went smoothly. Overall we paid about $11.5k for the whole move. The cars were $1850 a piece and the household move came in around $7800. Again, we had quotes higher and lower than Eco Movers but felt more comfortable paying a bit more for quality service. We highly recommend Eco Movers if it's in your budget, and will keep recommending them to anyone who asks! Huge shout out to Elsa for staying in constant communication with us and being such a pleasure to work with on Leury's team. And a huge shout out to our handy movers Hunter, Jonathan, and Lee for loading our things and having fun while doing it! And Enrique for getting our vehicles there safely! I called and spoke to several places regarding quotes and availability. Quick and Easy Movers truly did make this as quick and easy as possible for me! I did get a lot of quotes, and it was kind of wild how much the range can vary. After some back and forth via text messages with Quick and Easy, I was able to get what I consider a very reasonable rate. I booked a few weeks out, so whenever I had any questions or concerns, I was able to communicate with them through text, and they were very responsive! This was ultra convenient. Outstanding communication! The movers themselves were great! They actually were there almost 30 minutes early! (Which was awesome for me because I was just sitting there waiting for the time window to start at that point anyways). They were total professionals when it came time for the move. They went slowly, were very careful with my items and also very careful not to tag the walls either. I really appreciate that they took their time to be careful. Also, you don't HAVE to get the truck through them. They have a rate where, if you provide your own truck, you can save a bit of money. Personally, I figured I had enough to be concerned with on moving day, so I paid for them to provide it. Again, very reasonable rates IMO. After unloading the last of items, I was able to pay using Zelle. They worked for 3 hours and 15-20 minutes but rounded down to 3 hours flat when it came time to charge. Their Customer Care and Delivery Teams were fantastic, including Aaron (who picked up my Zippy Shell container at the destination). I have moved items from the West Coast to East Coast and back several times over the years. It is not easy moving a lot of items over a long distance without paying an arm and a leg or losing/breaking things. Zippy Shell gave me confidence that my belongings would arrive without issue (and it did). I initially signed a contract with a full, comprehensive moving service, but after hours wasted on multiple phone calls/no-shows, I ended up cancelling the service due to lack of reliability and trustworthiness from their staff. In contrast, the Zippy Shell agent on the phone worked to make the service perfect for what were important to me: budget and reliability. I wish I could remember the name of the first person that helped me at Zippy Shell in the Customer Care team. He was fantastic and gave me the confidence to go sign the agreement that day even though it was not the cheapest quote I had received. There are always little hiccups (e.g. the Zippy Shell and Pack Rat systems don't seem to play nice), but Zippy Shell has been fantastic overall! Most importantly, I felt assured my belongings would safely arrive. They will be my first call in the future.

On May 9, 2024, I reached out to Zippy-Shell, dba Pack-Rat ("Pack-Rat"), and spoke to company…read moreemployee, Ray Gudeman. He emailed me a generic price page for local moves, then directed me to Forrest Maynard, Long Distance Sales manager for Pack-Rat, out of the North Carolina headquarters. My request was for a move from Henderson, NV to Marcola, OR. At the behest of Mr. Maynard, I completed a reservation form and locked in the price of $11,248.00, to which we had agreed verbally. On May 20, 2024, Mr. Maynard offered me a senior discount, lowering the price to $10,750, which I accepted. He also advised me that my move would require only 4 containers. Within a day or two Pack-Rat sent at local "expert" to my home to do a walkthrough to determine if 4 units were enough. The expert's walkthrough was, in my opinion, very thorough, and included view of some large items, e.g., 7' work bench, patio furniture, 6' x 36' dog run, three 50-gallon water barrels, and three horse watering troughs. From the walk-thru it was determined that a 5th container would be required and that the new price would be $13,680 (this was later adjusted to $12,500, given that we chose to move to a destination which shorted the haul by several hundred miles). Mr. Maynard advised me via email that we would be packed up on January 17, 2025, and that we would be furnished with unlimited moving blankets and given 1-month free storage in Boise, ID, our destination city. No other changes were discussed nor were any other changes brought to our knowledge. My husband and I were shocked on the January 17th moving day to learn that Pack-Rat then determined that it would not only take 3 more containers to move us, but that we would have to pay for those containers as well. To our added surprise, not only did Pack Rat not move the contents of the dog run (we moved it), the workbench, the water barrels, and the horse tanks, but their actions demonstrated that the so called "expert" walk-through was without credibility, given that ultimately the company required the use of even more containers. Clearly, the original estimate, as well as the walk-through, were little more than a guess or a low-ball. Then, once our items arrived at their storage location in Boise, Pack-Rat refused to release those items to us until we paid the full balance they claimed was owing, bringing our total outlay to $20,100. In order to get access to these items, I had to pay Pack-Rat the final balance. Notwithstanding promises made to the contrary by Mr. Maynard and company agents, Pack-Rat committed other offenses as well. By way of example, and not of limitation: a) the company attempted to bill us for fuel charges, stair charges at the new residence, blanket charges, and various supply charges; b) they refused to repair or reimburse us for a cracked-in-half oak kitchen table, broken floor lamp, smashed collectable mugs, a hole kicked through the back of a hardwood bookcase, and c) they managed to lose a number of valuable items. My attempts to communicate with personnel of Zippy-Shell/Pack-Rat were not only incredibly disappointing but became increasingly frustrating to the point of maddening. I was treated with disrespect and passed from one person to another, none of which brought to me the satisfaction I sought, so desperately needed, and deserved. Management personnels' smug denials with regard to their failure to adhere to the agreed upon pricing and services, their condescending treatment of me, and their dishonest act of holding our goods hostage, not only speaks to Pack-Rat's total lack of credibility, but it smacks of what I have concluded, was dishonest intent from the start. Based on my experience, the buyer would do well to pass on what is, in my opinion, a classless organization, as it will likely result in the buyer's peril.

Upon entering when your passcode is entered at the entrance it automatically lets your personal alarm know that when the unit is opened it is YOU opening it and not someone else. Also there is a manager in site with security cameras in every location. Did I mention the staff and the cleanliness this place has? Well the staff are just so nice and helpful with carts available upon request to help load ur things. Also the units are climate controlled . This is great especially during the summer when temperatures far exceed the 100s in summer. I just would like to say thank you Storage One. You guys are awesome!
