Food was fast and they had outdoor patio and indoor seating. Food come out fairly quick and servers were nice and friendly. Supreme burrito was good although the food was spread unevenly through the burrito. The sauces were very nice. Green was mild and red and spicy, which was described by the waiter. The chips and salsa was good, the salsa might be a tad bit more spicy than what people are used to. The tacos were very good and had a good portion of meat inside them. Personally, the grilled pork was the best out of all the taco meats.

We love nelson's!' The owner is the sweetest person ever and amazing service. Bring from LA, the Mexican food is up to par. Great veggie options and ambiance. Come here!!

i had Nelson's delivered today. The food was horrible! the enchiladas had zero sauce. The corn tortillas were raw and the chicken was weird cubed and dry. The rice was hard and the beans seemed undercooked.

Tasty taqueria! Stopped here with my sister for lunch today. There were about 8 people waiting for food around noon--always a good sign! My sister got an order of birria tacos and I got an al pastor torta. The wait was short, the service was friendly, and the food was delish. I think this place has the best birria tacos I've tried in town. This was my first visit and it surely won't be my last. Next time, I'm looking forward to trying a burrito! read more

Terrible food ""If your gonna use a Microwave I suggest you master it" .I will not come back here for multiple reasons and I have lived in the neighborhood for going on 12 years! Food burnt in a microwave"OMG" and when I called to communicate the issue the other half treated me like an idiot questioning me like I have motive that ridiculous! As for you for selling out to a building and producing a sub-par food now , I'll go to Super Tacos or Dos Banderas from now on to fulfill my authentic cravings. read more

Service was outstanding. Seated in the outdoor patio and our server never forgot us. We each had burritos which were large, packed with quality ingredients, no fat on the meats or stringy chunks...so tasty! Wish we had room for dessert. I had a hard time finding a restaurant open for dinner on New Years Day, but it was worth it to finally land on Nelson's for my takeout order. From their friendliness on the phone to how welcome I felt during pickup, everything was first rate. Genuinely great customer service goes a long way with me, as well. I'm especially happy with a restaurant when the food is great to match. I'm a sucker for neon and a beautiful bar, so I loved their casual retro glam decor. Their cocktails and specials sounded fresh & unique, as well. The next time I'm in town, I'll definitely be going back to eat at Nelson's in person. Keep on doing it right, y'all! read more

I've lived in the neighborhood where this Taqueria is located. Nelson and his crew have consistently been so great and reliable for delicious Mexican cuisine. And to mention food cart life is hard work.. Their menu is amazing and so affordable. I personally like to order a chile relleno wrapped in a burrito, it is the best with a side of their habanero salsa! Visit Nelson soon and you'll find out what I mean! He is so kind. read more

This review is for staff and customer service. As sometimes can happen at even the best dining establishments, we did not have a good dining experience. Indoor seating was crazy cold - felt like that if they had a working heater, it was only turned on right as they unlocked the doors for dinner service. There were also a couple problems with our meal. They were quick to try and fix things and make sure we were satisfied. They were also proactive with adjusting the bill - even though we didn't ask them too. More restaurants should give this kind of customer service. I was so shocked and impressed with their attitude, I had to come online and tell you all about it! read more

For the last 6 years, I have been a regular at Nelsons food truck. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere there is always nice and upbeat, Nelson and TD are always friendly and get to know you on a personal level. Now that they have moved into a bar and restaurant it's only going to get better! What a great surprise. We had never visited any of the other establishments that took up residence in this space but it's so cute! Bright and cozy, but could use a bit better heat on this cold night. The margaritas were amazing, lots of options. I chose the habanero and my husband had the coconut. Both were great. I had fish tacos, tasty but a little fish-sticky. My husband had a chili relleno and loved it. All in all it was a great surprise and tasty enough to return. read more

I love myself some Street tacos. Nelsons was the first Taqueria I ever went to when I first arrived here in Eugene. I've tried several others, but yet I always end up back at Nelsons. The food is authentic. The help is fantastic stop and spend time to take a little nibble on a couple of the picnic benches that they have outback. You won't regret it. Their fish tacos are to die for. read more

It has been a long time since I have found a really good street taco in Eugene, especially one that can make a really good adobada. These are legit one of the best I have had in a long time. I don't think I would go any where else in town for adobada again. I will have to try his other flavors of meat. I tried the beans, and rice along with the taco plate and they are great as well. If you love street taco's this is your place! read more

I have been to Nelson's four times now and it occurred to me today that the experience is always marred by something. The food itself is good, although it is not better or worse than many of the fine options available in Eugene (Nelson's uses the smallest corn tortillas I have ever had, however). But the problem comes in with the overall experience. This visit, I came and got some food for my aging father and he wanted nachos. When getting the food I asked if there were utensils and napkins and was told "everything is in the bag". Well, that meant two napkins, no utensils, and what was to become a huge mess. My father tried to navigate a pile of nacho chips and a congealed mass of meat and cheese all on top, morphed into something that could not be eaten by hand. We didn't discover this until we found a nice place at a nearby park. We then had to pack up and go try to find utensils and napkins, this for someone with walking challenges. It was at this moment that I realized that my experience at Nelson's has always been marred by something like this. So, the food is good but just make sure you have all you need to navigate the food and the circumstances, including looking in the bag for yourself. read more

Nelson's makes some amazing Mexican food! Everytime we come here from San Francisco to visit family we make it a point to enjoy the carne asada and pollo asado burritos along with their tequitos. Probably one of the only best reasons to come to Eugene coming from a San Franciscan (besides family). read more

She gave us chips and salsa as well as our water the moment we sat down. We ordered from their Happy Hour menu. We got the Best of Nelson's Sampler for $15.99, Nelson Burrito for $9.99, and Carne Asada Fries for $10.99. Food came all at once. Felt the Best of Nelson's Sampler was not worth the $15.99. The sampler came with one soft taco, one hard taco, two taquitos, and one enchilada. The beef was dry and hard. The burrito was really dry and we had to ask for sauces. Our waitress gave us a red and green sauce. The red sauce was really spicy. The green sauce was mildly spicy and went well with the burrito. The Carne Asada Fries was good, but the ink from the liner transferred to the cheese. Overall, it's a good place to hang out. Food wasn't great, but service was fantastic. If we had to come back, we would probably get a wet burrito to try.

This is my favorite place to eat in the County! The food is always very fresh, made to order, and true Mexican recipes. In 2 years I've never been disappointed. The quality is excellent and the prices are very fair! They listen to your order and easily customize anything you like. They are quick and efficient. The owner and others who serve here are genuine, great people! They volunteer their time and resources to the community / great causes on a regular and frequent basis. The are generous at work serving us and also in our community. They will remember you and your order and you'll begin to look forward to seeing their friendly faces. read more

I pretty much live on Nelson's burritos since discovering them this spring. By far the best burritos in town. The grilled chicken is marinated overnight which makes it tender and oh so delicious. The breakfast burritos are also amazing. The consistent traffic and cadre of local regulars says it all. Then you top it off with Nelson who is one of the most upbeat, positive and friendly people I've ever met. Sometimes, after days of eating burritos, and not really wanting another, I go and get one anyway just to enjoy Nelson's uplifting energy. And the price? I Love this food cart!!! Absolutely favorite in town. They know my order when I come, which shows they appreciate their customers and get to know them. Since day one I've always felt they were happy to see me and always left happier than when I arrived. Nelson, the owner, must cultivate a really great work culture there too because it's the same no matter who serves me. I love this place! The owner and each employee that I've met are rays of sunshine and their vegan burrito is a staple of my diet. I eat there 2-3 times per week because the staff is friendly, the food is outstanding, the prices are right, and the wait time is short. It's refreshing to know that all of those things still exist in one location. My recommendation: try the vegan burrito and ask for a hint of lime :) read more

Love this place, cheap and delicious food with really down to earth employees that actually make an effort to connect with their customers. I come here every Tuesday and before I even walk up to order they already have my food on the grill. What is better: the food or the service? Can't decide! I am lucky to live close so I can just grab a burrito or cheese enchiladas while on the run. It was like I was Indiana Jones when this lost gem of the Whiteaker revealed itself to me just before my stomach fell into an eternal pit of despair. I asked them to make it wet and boy did they.
