I appreciate that this place fries their own tortillas and tostadas. That to me really distinguishes a Mexican places from others. They are very crispy and good when recently fried. The red and green salsas are also quite good, spicy but not too much so. The red one is tangier. The service is friendly and helpful. The lady was thoughtful enough to put together that if I didn't want sour cream, I also might not want cheese, and asked me. You can ask for a cup of water. This truck has lots of outdoor picnic tables. There is a porta potty and a couple of other vendors nearby. read more

Lalitos is a great little lowkey spot. I ordered a tamale plate which consisted of 1 tamale (chicken or pork) and a side of rice and beans ($10). Simple enough. The tamale was fantastic, full of seasoned & marinated chicken. I think it was mole. The rice had a nice smoky flavor and went well with the seasoned beans. Overall it was very satisfying and well worth the price. It looks like they have branched out and now have a dessert/snacks cart. There was a wide array of Mexican fruit snacks and other drinks available. I didn't get anything on this visit, but definitely next time. read more

Great food truck! They have an amazing variety of food and drinks for one little truck. The service is friendly. I got two tacos, one chicken and one beef (carne asada) and an order of esquites, and it was all flavorful and fresh. The tacos had some heat without salsa, but I added some extra for a little more kick. I want to try the hibiscus tea drink or horchata next time. I also like this particular food cart pod because there is a lot of seating, both covered and uncovered. (And there is a foosball table!) Happened upon Lalitos while stopping to get Indian groceries next door. What a great find! The taquitos, the tostadas, and birria tacos were delicious. Yelp says that things to consider in my review are food, service, and ambiance! Let's start with the important one: the food is excellent. I tried the carne asada, al pastor, and pollo (chicken) tacos, and all were tasty, with generous portions of meat and a nice char on the tortillas to add just a little texture and flavor. Best of all, this approach eliminates the ubiquitous second tortilla on each taco, because who needs to eat that much corn? The people are friendly and crank out the tacos quickly, so you're not left standing around for way too long like so many food trucks. This is a really underrated aspect of food truck service: if you value your time, speed is important. They patiently answered all my questions and we had a nice conversation using my definitely beginner-level Spanish, though of course they speak better English than I do Spanish. Ambiance? Well, there ain't any, but they do have squeeze bottles with tasty salsa. Get ya some! read more

The food here is soo tasty! The quesabirria tacos were made fresh and packed tons of flavor. The meat was extremely juicy and cooked to perfection. The esquite cup was good as well (next time I'll probably ask for some chilli powder on it though). As for the magonada, this is probably my favorite place in town to get one. Perfect combo of sweet and savory with their mix and I like that there is a lot of chamoy. They also have a creamy green sauce that i highly recommend trying! Packs the perfect level of heat and is unlike any of the other green sauces I've tried. If they sold the sauce by the bottle, I'd buy it! read more

The Quesabirria tacos are good, but the main problem with this restaurant is the price. I would say it's double the price that it's worth. I paid $17 for 3 Quesabirria tacos and some rice and beans. Hands down this place has my favorite carne asada burrito in town. Everything is perfect and delicious on it. I'm really glad they offer delivery via Door Dash. The only bad thing is that now I'm spending too much money on Door Dash since I've discovered them. Also, I wish they were open earlier. Their breakfast burritos are amazing too!
