When I asked to speak to the office manager the next morning, notes were taken and it was explained that it is always cheaper to buy in bulk - no kidding! I explained that I was very unhappy with their price gouging practices and that at this point I am simply appalled and disgusted. I was told that the office manager would get in touch with me. While I haven't heard from the office manager, I did receive a call to confirm our appointment. When I asked for our appointment to be canceled, declined to reschedule, and thanked the young lady for her help, I heard something that sounded like "ok" and then I was hung up on. Considering their unethical business practices, not only did they lose our vet business for two dogs, they lost our boarding business as well and so much more....

Our old vet would trim nails. They don't since they are a "fear free clinic". Now I have to spend $50 to have someone come do it at the house. (She is wonderful!) Our 14 year old dog was sick and I spent $500 on tests. They wanted to do ultrasounds and several other upcharges. Come to find out, we ruled it out ourselves, he couldn't stomach doggie aspirin that we were giving him for his hips. They are very kind and welcoming. They do offer paper prescriptions that are cheaper to be filled at the pharmacy. BUT I do find the general cost and upcharges over the top.

However, I was also looking for a empathetic stress free environment for both my stray cat and myself, as I had never owned a cat before. From the initial form, allowing me to outline our story in advance, our appointment felt so individualized. Sarah R. , our fantastic Vet Tech, had read our case and was called in specially to see Princess because of her experience with strays. She was calm and effective, and I was shocked to see her petting Princess less than 30 seconds after opening her carrier (I had not yet attempted this). She was personable, telling us about her own fur babies, but I also felt she was very thorough in collecting history and let me ask lots of questions. In addition to Sarah's excellence, Dr. Morgan Mcpheeter was calm, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am not a "review" person but for the person out there wondering if they should invest in a Vet Relationship instead of a neuter/spay service, I think Charleston Harbor is everything they've advertised and more (rare in Chs).

I brought her in and we were seen at our appointment time. The front desk seemed like they genuinely loved pets. This is a plus, because I've been to places where they look annoyed by the pets for some reason. Anyway, we got into the room and the nurse assessed my baby. After doing a quick check and getting an idea of what needed to be done, she went to get the vet. Our vet was very nice and quick. She cleaned my kitty's ears out (she was getting an infection, and what might've been mites) and made sure her shots were up to date. Products and services weren't pushed on me, and they didn't make me feel bad because I didn't want a service (which has been done at a vet I previously took my kitty to). That was appreciated and I plan to keep my baby at this vet.
