Dr. Andrew has been treating Max, our senior German Shepherd for a number of years, after he had a debilitating back issue causing complete paralysis of his rear legs, issues with his vision, and then a scary case of vestibular syndrome. He truly loves Max, and he has taken a personal interest in his health, with very good results. I wouldn't take him to any other vet. The prices at Palmetto Veterinary Hospital are typical for area vets, and definitely less than the insanely priced vets in North Mt Pleasant. read more

We have used two other vets in Mt Pleasant before finding Dr Craig Henke at Palmetto Veterinary Hospital. We have a Golden Retriever & English Bulldog both who have skin issues. Finally we have found a vet who knows how to diagnose their issues. The care & service we have received from Dr Henke & his team has been exceptional. If you are new to Mount Pleasant like we were 4 years ago don't waste your time like we did trying other vets and go straight to Palmetto Veterinary Hospital. Visiting from out of town, our puppy hurt his leg. We called a vet who was not taking on new patients. They suggested Palmetto who gave us an appointment right away. They were terrific. Gave us a diagnosis and medication and it was less expensive than I expected. They were happy to give info to our vet at home. They even called to follow up and sent a nice card after we got home. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff of Palmetto Vet. I have fostered and owned many senior dogs throughout my adult life, and I know how imperative it is for them to have compassionate and patient veterinary care. Dr. Henke and Dr. Eppelsheimer are thorough, skilled, and knowledgeable. They are also (most importantly to me) gentle, kind, and honest. When I adopted my dog, Macy Belle, a few years ago, I knew that she was very old and had heart disease with a poor prognosis. I never felt like I actually understood her condition, because I had basically been told by other vets "don't worry about it, she doesn't have enough time for it to matter." Dr. Henke was the first vet to focus on *her* as a living being, not just her disease. I can't tell you what a difference this makes. Dr. Eppelsheimer only met Macy a handful of times, but she treated her like her own. She helped us navigate Macy's last days in a way that was professional, but also incredibly compassionate and supportive. All of the techs & office staff are wonderful as well. Nikki has a particularly gentle and loving touch. This means a lot to senior pet parents! I didn't intend for this review to be so somber, but I hope it helps show what a great practice this is and I can't stress enough how much I recommend them to all pet parents! read more

I had a move that required testing and paperwork and Palmetto Vet understood the process and took the time to submit the tests and paperwork with me. Due to Park West's miss on this, one of my dogs was three weeks late on the move and I spent an extra $1500. Go to Palmetto! read more

We are out of town, staying in IOP Wild Dunes and they were able to make room for my dog having a minor Issue while travelling- in at the last minute and we received excellent care. From the friendly front desk ladies, the wonderful thorough and kind vet's assistant to the very through and excellent veterinarian. Connected with PVH and they scheduled an appointment for me within an hour. Front desk staff, vet tech, and vet were fantastic. If I could give more than five stars, I would give Palmetto Vet a thousand!!. After moving to Mt P I went to a few other Vets and was nothing but frustrated and ripped off of tons of money. Dr Henke listens, has amazing compassion and actually was able to fix my dogs health issues. The other Vets in the past just gave me medicines that didn't work, which I now think was a way for them to have me constantly return so they could get more money out of me. The staff at Palmetto vet are amazing. The girls at the front desk are so friendly and helpful, despite seeing and talking with many people all day, they always remember you and greet you like an old friend. Laura, Dr Henke's vet tech is the best. She has a kind, loving manner with the pets and she is super smart. She's able to answer any question you may have. I have been coming to the Palmetto Veterinary Hospital for over four years now and the vets and nurses here are all so wonderful and take such excellent care of my two dogs. In fact, my dogs LOVE going to visit the Vet!! They start barking and jumping when they get to the front door. I feel that the level of veterinary care is extremely high and they really have a love for all animals. I also want to say that the Practice Manager, Mimi Huss, is superb at organizing all necessary paperwork for my pets whenever we want to travel with them and has made it so much easier for us because of her attention to detail and outstanding level of service. Once again Palmetto Vet office comes through! One of the best things in my opinion that has happened in Rock Hill is the Palmetto Vet Office! We had almost given up on SC Vet Offices and were going to North Carolina for Veterinary Services ! Then suddenly Palmetto Vet Services opened 15 minutes from our home! The doctor's professionalism and the staff's friendliness never cease to amaze us ! They are prompt, courteous and I don't know how they do it but the office and rooms are always spotless! They treat all of their clients like family and give the best care. For the past 8 years I have been going to them with our 3 dogs and cat.
