I live 2min away from another mydocnow facility on 83rd and lower Buckeye…read more I drive the extra minutes to come to the Avondale location... the ladies I've met there in the front are the sweetest most nicest ladies!! Misty Hull is the BEST by far!!!!! Her assistant is the sweetest most thoughtful young lady. I can't even tell you how many times I've been there and each time I still get the same treatment. The lady is the front is always all smiles always eager to help. Misty Hull assistant saw I was hurting the other day and was like don't sit down just stand I'll hurry up I don't want u down and up and down again. Misty treats u like your family. I started bringing my daughters there and they're already like mom I made an appt with Misty! We r going this time with her they created a bond with her. With out a doubt pick this location!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other patients should be aware of our experience…read more My father is 82 years old, diabetic, and on dialysis three times a week. On June 24, his pharmacy notified us that his medication required a prior authorization from this office. Because the authorization was not completed and the medication was medically necessary, we had to pay out of pocket to ensure he did not go without treatment. Since then, we have called the office numerous times, spoken with multiple staff members, and repeatedly explained the urgency of the situation. Despite multiple follow-ups and escalations, the prior authorization was still not completed in a timely manner. We were even hung up on during some of our calls, making an already stressful situation even more frustrating. At no point did we feel that the seriousness of my father's medical condition was being taken seriously. What is most disappointing is that my father, an elderly patient with significant medical needs, has had to endure the stress and uncertainty of this situation. He is fortunate to have family members who can advocate for him, make repeated phone calls, and navigate the healthcare system on his behalf. I cannot help but think about patients who do not have that support. No elderly or medically vulnerable person should have to fight this hard to receive a medication they have already been prescribed. It is deeply concerning that clinical issues like medication prior authorizations appear to be handled through a call center that is unable or unwilling to appropriately address urgent patient needs. Patients deserve timely communication, compassion, and a process that prioritizes their health--not repeated transfers, unanswered requests, or disconnected calls. The way this office has handled this situation has been unacceptable. I am sharing our experience because I genuinely do not want another patient or family to go through what we have experienced. I sincerely hope this practice improves its prior authorization process, communication, and overall care for medically vulnerable patients.

I went in for one issue and she started to berate me about my hormones. I've seen my own hormone provider successfully for over 9 years and didn't come to this appointment for anything related to my hormones. I thought maybe she had a bad day, but my husband saw her on a different day and when he emerged from his appointment he said "I never want to see her again, that was horrible." Again, he went in for one issue and she decided to focus on his cholesterol at 161 which is not even high. But she began to scribble on her note pad to take fish oil, (he said, I took one this morning and her response was "you should have taken 2) flax seed and get a follow up appointment to have labs drawn again. My husband is 60 years old, 6'1, 195 pounds and 15% body fat, impeccable labs, great blood pressure and very low PSA lab because he takes HRT. I would caution anyone from choosing this provider if you don't like being talked down to, berated and intimidated. I have nothing positive to say except we will never be back in her office again.

Crazy Insane. My insurance Aetna states Kathleen Nichols is in Network and ACCEPTING new patients,…read moreso I called to book an appt. Today is 04/17/26, I was told that next Available Appt. is February 2027 - Almost an entire year away! Of course I absolutely do not believe this. So now I have an urgent medical issue and have to go to the Emergency Room because my crappy insurance In Network plan has crazy in network doctors that are not available. INSANE! Probably bit the bullet on this one, because any doctor that would advise her staff to treat New Patients like this is gotta be a horrible uncaring medical person.

Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Let me preface this by saying that I have a spinal cord injury so I have a disability that needs attention regularly. Dr. Nichols refused to complete my intermittent FMLA paperwork, which is essential for protecting my employment if I need to miss work due to my disability. This lack of support made an already stressful situation even harder. She also declined to continue managing my antidepressant medication, stating that my mental health concerns were "too complicated." I sat in her office sobbing and begging for support-- hoping for compassion, communication, and understanding from her, but instead felt dismissed and unsupported. She is INTERNAL MEDICINE, which means that she should specialize in treating patients like me. I would not recommend Dr. Nichols if you are looking for a doctor who takes the time to understand and advocate for patients with underlying medical or mental health needs.
