Absolutely fantastic experience! From the rustic cabins, UTV rentals and amazing restaurant that is attached. We loved everything about it.

Balconies on some of the second floor rooms. Coffee shop downstairs and 24 hour water and coffee available. Lovely two story seating area and back deck on 2nd floor. Excellent location on Main Street within walking distance of many restaurants. Leigh was super helpful and patient with our indecision on whether to stay one nights or two. we opted for two. Would happily stay here again. Not a lot open in mid April but we did visit New To You, Loud American Bar & Grill and Rossini Gypsy Tattoo Parlor, Uncle Louie's and Red's Bar & Grill. These rooms are unique, clean and comfy. Original (?) tin ceilings. Motorized shades for windows.

For some reason the receptionist booked us at a more expensive rooms. We didn't realize until the next day seeing the receipt email. It was all very strange, but the manager did make it right the next day thankfully. I would recommend booking online to avoid any confusion. The location is right on the main drag- in walking distance of everything you need and next to the rallies. The hotel is historic and completely renovated in a mix of original and modern. Original detailed ceilings and exposed brick was really special. The rooms were great! All the rooms have two beds in a loft. (You might need to bring luggage up stairs for one of the beds.) Two very large beds- I thought they were supposed to be queen but I think they were kings. The sheets are buttery soft and the mattress was perfection. I travel full time and this is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've been in. We stayed in 210 & 208 both window rooms- 210 had a window that was low enough to open the blinds to get natural light and peep out, but 208 was much higher- both cool rooms. The balconies rooms would be well worth the price if you were staying for a rally. Cool cafe downstairs. House coffee is included with the stay- 3 blends available. There was no basic black coffee- I am a basic black coffee girl- so I was scared- but the blends were very subtle flavoring and delicious. They have a full cafe with lots of great sounding drinks.

Tucked away (and I mean "tucked" away) in Newcastle, you'll find your stay for the evening. Don't…read moreget discouraged if you can't find it right away. It's there. I eventually found it. Of course, I wasn't using GPS like you are, so it took me a bit longer. Tucked away means quiet and quiet it was. Birds chirping were the only sounds I heard when I opened the car door. That's a good sign if you're looking for quiet. I checked in and was given room #13. Yes, it ran through my mind, uh oh, unlucky number 13. But doom and gloom weren't in the cards for me. Quite the contrary. Number 13 was exceptionally clean and comfortable. My host was friendly and helpful when it came to suggesting a place for dinner. Though trying to follow his directions found me at an oil refinery. LoL! Again, no GPS. I eventually backtracked and ended up where I started to. Quick Tip: At your next stop at a store, pick up some cheap double AA batteries and shove them into your suitcase. You'll be glad you did when your remote for the TV doesn't work. No having to go through the hassle of getting dressed and making your way to the front desk or waiting for maintenance to get to your room. Just pop them in, and you're set. As I had to do at The Pines. It didn't take but a minute before I could watch the mindless dribble which spewed forth. Oh, don't forget to pull your batteries before you leave. You'll undoubtedly need them down the road.

I didn't want to spend a lot because this was just going to be used for sleep during a nice little road trip. The owner actually was outside when we pulled up late(930pm) and he was very helpful and gave us the room key. The room was small and quaint very clean very vintage feeling. The bed was very comfortable it was soft but firm and did not feel old. Very quiet environment no loud noises even early in the morning. Also, a very cute area outside for lounging around. I would highly recommend staying here!
