Everything was fresh and delicious. Vegetables, meat, sauce, everything was plentiful. I ordered the crab ragoons and the beef and broccoli. Both were very good. The dinner portion of the beef and broccoli was 3 meals for me. The quality was good too. Veggies were fresh, meat was lean, sauces weren't too sweet. They aren't open on weekends and close at 8:15p. This place is always so good! The portions are absolutely huge, I mean enough for lunch and dinner the next day, so just go ahead and ask for a to-go box when you order. We had the teriyaki chicken and an order of egg fried rice. Both were huge. Ordered the steamed dumplings which were great but the chili crisp sauce that they make is excellent. Swirl some in your sauce and man it was good. You really can't go wrong here. We've also had their fried shrimp and it was just as huge and just as good. I have to say the servers we have had have all been very knowledgeable and nice. Just pleasant all the time. Kinda rare these days. Seriously you need to come give them a try. We will def be back. Well, I should've known not to go with anything but the Vietnamese food at a primarily Vietnamese place, but I was hungry for a GOOD chicken fried steak, and I'd heard theirs was really good, so I asked for it. (literally) Even the waitress said it was "amazing", so where's the risk in THAT, right? The plate came out and things were looking epic! The serving was HUGE! And that's all the good news I have to say about that. It was almost entirely coating, which fell off the small gray slab of tasteless meat. Every Texan's nightmare. Only offered with corn as the side, and a helping of basic mashed potatoes and covered in an absolutely below average gravy. All that and it was over $50 for two of us! I had water and my friend had a Dr Pepper ($3.50) no alcohol. So- live and learn. DO NOT Try the American Food section on their menu!! LOL. Service was just OK btw and I tipped her 20% even though her judgement is lacking. read more

Dining in tonight @6 on a Friday evening and there was not a wait at all. Service is excellent and the entree portions are definitely shareable or family-style - we love that so everyone can try a little bit of this or a little bit of that. Oh my gosh--Marisel at the Marriott Fairfield Hotel recommended NGO as her favorite restaurant, and I msee why! The food is incredibly fresh, thoughtfully curated, and absolutely delicious. You'll want to try everything on the menu! The Boba drinks are just as amazing, and the service goes above and beyond. I had such a great time and even got to take some food home--bonus fun! This place is amazing! The food is all prepared freshly and comes to your table hot and with huge portions. Our first time eating here, although we've been coming for several years to vacation here in Rockport and just never knew about this place. Now that we know how amazing the food is, this will definitely be one of our eating places when we come to this lovely coastal town. We'll know better on how much to order next time because we had so much leftover food. Besides the fantastic food, the staff is really friendly, very personable and helpful in explaining how the selected food will come or letting you know you can modify it. Today i ordered a carry out of chicken combo bun bowl. To my surprise the chicken was old probably from the day before. The eggroll that were in there were stelle from the day before too. Cuz i ordered an order of 3 eggrolls those were fresh. I had never got food like that before, i understand you dont want to get rid of left over food but you should sell it as fresh food either. The best experience for our dinner last night was the exceptional server. We had not dined at NGO for a couple of years so we thought we would give it a try. We ordered chicken bun combos and the food came out very timely. The egg roll was delicious and very hot. However the chicken was dried out and had a smell. We also ordered spring egg rolls and the outside was very tough which was weird. Both my husband and I cook and we know fresh food. The chicken was not fresh. This place is a hidden gem in rockport! This was our first time trying it and we definitely will be back each year that we come. The platters were huge, definitely could share between people. The flavors were also really good, not too salty where you feel bloated after. Our server Franklin was very knowledgeable about the menu and helping us decide between dishes, he even had the kitchen split the lo mein for me and my sister since we were sharing. Dang! Tried Ngos for the first time today and mind blown! We ordered the Allstar stirfry with fried rice, egg roll, and an order of crab Rangoon. Holy cow! The stir fry has shrimp, beef and chicken, and PLENTY of it! The beef was absolutely delish. The chicken is solid, and the shrimp is huge! The crab Rangoon were also large and fried crispy. My husband and I ate our fill and still have enough for lunch tomorrow. One meal easily feeds 2 or 3. Great value and wonderful people. read more

Wow!! Just wow!! If you have not or don't plan to eat for about a week, this place is for you!! The portions are ridiculously large, which is a good thing... you will get your moneys worth. I had the stir fly combo with the thick noodles and the wife had the sesame chicken. But were cooked perfectly and taste was great. After eating for 30 mins, we still have leftovers for at least two more meals each. Waitress was very tenative and the place has plenty of room.
