My 6-year-old daughter was served her meal last, and when she finally received her chicken nuggets, they were raw and undercooked inside. Unfortunately, she had already eaten one nugget before we discovered it. We are now monitoring her closely for possible foodborne illness, including salmonella exposure, which no parent should ever have to worry about after dining out. What made the situation worse was the way management handled it. Initially, we were only offered 50% off the bill, despite the seriousness of serving raw chicken to a child. They did not automatically remove or comp the child's meal or the replacement meal. When we expressed that we appreciated the gesture but wanted to speak with the owner about the situation, management became defensive rather than taking accountability. Eventually, we were told the entire ticket would be covered -- but only if we agreed to never come back. That response was shocking and unprofessional. At no point did we feel genuine concern, accountability, or care for our child's wellbeing. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, but how a business responds says everything. Serving raw chicken is a serious health risk, especially to a young child, and the handling of the situation left us feeling dismissed rather than cared for. We cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

We were lucky to get the last serving of their evening special, Paella, which was among the best versions of this dish I have eaten, even including the first time I tried it in Barcelona back in 1959 as a college student. The portion was generous enough to satiate the five of us that shared it. With that, we added Corn Ribs, the Tuna Tostada, Patatas Bravas, and Crab Crostini. That was the perfect quantity for five. This is a five star restaurant in every regard, except perhaps for ambiance. The food was uniformly excellent and some of it was exceptional. The Tuna Tostada left me longing for more, and there was a generous amount of crab on the Crostini. The Corn Ribs brought corn-on-the-cobb to a new level. The one disappointment was that the salmon in the salad came out medium rare, which in my opinion is the way is should be served, but the menu probably should have warned that it would be prepared that way. This was cheerfully and quickly fixed, so no harm and no foul. We will surely return.

Trying to be understanding guests, we told her not to worry, and she apologized and said she'd speak to the Back of House. When the main courses arrived, the food was okay, though it seriously lacked flavor and desperately needed salt. But the real insult came when the bill arrived. Since we had actual hair served in our food, we politely asked our waitress if a discount could be applied. She apologized, mentioned she hadn't been sure how to handle it initially, and went to speak to the manager. After a long wait, she came back with a "discounted" bill. The original total was $179 and change. The manager's grand gesture of a discount brought it down to $173 and change. But here is the absolute kicker: because we paid with a card, they tacked on debit card fees that brought the final total right back up to $179. Where the hell is the actual discount? In this day and age, almost no one carries cash. Sneaking in extra card fees to completely wipe out a "complimentary" discount for serving us hair is cheap, manipulative, and terrible business. If you're going to charge card fees, embed them in the food prices like a reputable establishment. Between whoever is cooking in the back without a hairnet and a management team that thinks a net-zero "discount" fixes serving unsanitary food, we will absolutely never be back. The soft shell crab Po Boy was good, with two very large ones, but the sauce that came on the side left us wanting something different. We also had the Ahi salad and the fish taco. Other tables were being sat after us and actually left while we were still waiting that had received their food and paid. Extremely disappointed and will NEVER GO BACK.
