I thought long before writing this review. If I was to rate my stylist alone without establishment she would get 5 stars. But that's not the case. I LOVED my hair cut and the stylist. No problem there. BUT the same can't be said about the front people. They were awful! After my stylist was done she told me she was putting something away and would meet me at the front. I gathered my stuff and headed to front desk, I approached the desk and said hello. I got RUDE stares and one of them a middle age lady looked at the other girl and mocked me and said "hiiii?! She came out of nowhere" not once did she speak to me, she just walked away. I was taken back. I politely stated who my service was with and that I was ready to check out. Once my stylist came up she was able to get the other girl to check me out. I still paid my service, tipped my stylist because I was happy with her service just completely disappointed and disturbed by the front desk. I went back on here and saw some other clients have stated the same issue. read more

Very nice staff and extremely clean salon. They take all necessary precautions with the state of the health crisis. I, however, am of the view that most of the color to ME looks like cookie cutter medium to light blonde highlights ? After searching for a new hairstylist in the Kingwood area for a year, I found Patrick at Sanke. I wanted an asymmetrical layered bob, which turns out to be a difficult cut for some stylists in the area--Patrick freaking nailed it! He's professional, knows what he's talking about, and is a very talented stylist. I chose Patrick because he has years of experience as his bio states on the Sanke website and I figure he'd be worth taking a chance on. So happy I did! Just moving to the area was recommended to this salon. What a disappointment. Had to wait 4 weeks for appt. Then hair coloring service was mediocre. The worst part of this salon was the attitudes conveyed to customers. As previously stated by another reviewer it's like you are doing them a favor by being there. So glad Kingwood finally has a quality hair salon I can visit. I absolutely loved my experience here! Liya did an amazing job and she knew exactly what I wanted! Will definitely come back in the future!! In regards to COVID - they made me feel SO comfortable. As soon as you walk in you are given some hand sanitizer, everyone is wearing a mask, and as soon as I was done with my hair my seat was wiped cleaned and sanitized. I've been going to Sankë for the past three years and have had nothing but excellent service. Brianna Mendoza has been my stylist and has completely transformed my hair! She and the other stylists have amazing talent and I've never seen anyone leave there with anything but fabulous hair! I called this hair salon to do a hair consultation, and I specifically asked them who specializes in blondes and who is good with time plus giving them details about how I get my hair done. The person who answered the phone could not recommend a specific person saying they are all good. So I chose to go with someone who was a higher level colorist & then she matched me with someone that was available. When I came in for the consultation, the girl I met with didn't really seem confident in doing my hair and with timing, so she asked her coworker Brianna if she would do my hair and she said no problem plus she's blonde so thought maybe it was a better match. We made my appointment around when she would be able to pick up her child from daycare. Weeks later I get a text message from the salon saying they no longer offer my service. So in my face they made my appointment but behind my back they cancelled it. They had no intentions of doing my hair. My hair is pretty much just highlighting but instead of weaving I do slicing. If you can weave you can slice lol but they must lack highlighting experience in general bc no one would say this service is no longer available. I'm not sure why you would have "high level" inexperienced colorists doing color. Making a consultation & coming to this salon was a complete waste of my time. read more

I've been going to stylists here for 10 years or so. My go-to Trish retired, however, I got my most recent cut from Brianna! She did an incredible job. She communicated with me about the process and made me feel very comfortable! I asked her to lighten my hair but not to use bleach and she did an amazing job. I've gone here a couple times and never had any problems and usually see someone different every time. However, this experience has come to me deciding to never go there never again. Do not get your haircut by the stylist Kimberly! Whenever cutting my hair dramatically short I choose to pay a little more to get it done. Paying around 30-45$ I expect a quality cut. The cut was fine, however she missed hairs that I had to cut myself at home. So I went back to touch up my hair and to cut my bangs straight across...I asked for them to sit right at my eyebrows and she cut them where they sat FAR from them. In addition to that, the bangs where not cut evenly of both sides. Super cuts would've done a better job and would've saved me 25-30 bucks!! I was furious. I didn't know how simpler to explain how I wanted them done. I've been wearing a hat for about two weeks now. I had to reschedule my senior photos! She is a terrible stylist, do not see her. If she can't cut a simple pair of bangs who knows what else she can do. read more

I got my hair extensions done at Sanke with Brianna, and I LOVE everything about this place. The salon, the stylists, the hair, the price! Literally everything. I've always been sketched out going to salons because I always felt the stylists never listened to what I wanted , and always left less than satisfied. Brianna did the complete opposite!!! She made me feel comfortable, and that I could trust her. She did exactly what I wanted! I really loved that I could zelle , Venmo or cash app Brianna her tips because I rarely carry cash , and I love taking care of stylists that cars of me so that made me fall in love with the place so much more!!
