I've given this salon the benefit of the doubt more than once, but after today, I feel like I have to leave a review. This is now the third time I've had an appointment where I was left waiting at least 20 minutes past my scheduled time. I completely understand that things can run behind occasionally, but when it happens repeatedly, it becomes frustrating--especially when I've made an appointment for a specific time and have planned my day around it. If you consistently need more time between appointments, then the appointment times should be scheduled accordingly. Customers shouldn't have to sit and wait 20+ minutes every single time. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Mary Kennedy has done shampoo and blowouts for me many times and I have loved the look of my hair every time.

Went there for a haircut. They did not shampoo my hair. I told three stylist what I wanted she did not listen she should have asked me before adding powder you my hair which I am allergic to. I don't recommend this place at al!! read more

Don't bother coming here to get your hair done unless you want your time to be totally wasted. I made an appointment over a week ago for a haircut at 2:30, I arrived at 2:25 and left at 3:10 with just a wash. Hailey apparently got behind with her previous client which happens but the fact that they didn't even bother to tell me I would be waiting for FOURTY minutes is horrible. My time is just as valuable as theirs. All this required was little bit of communication which everyone at this salon seems to be lacking. read more

I had the pleasure of having Mary work on my hair today, it was last minute but they were able to squeeze me in with her, it worked out for the both of us as she had told me she had a few cancellations today and I, knowing that most places are booked up for the holidays, decided to give it a shot to see if the salon had any openings. Mary was an absolute delight to talk to, I was shy at first but that changed pretty quickly. She did a fantastic job on my hair and I couldn't be any more pleased with the results, it was a simple all over color as I was tired of my highlights but I feel like myself again. Mary is a terrific listener, she made sure to come out with the color samples to let me decide which one I liked best, so we were on the same page and I don't leave unhappy. She was attentive and sweet. Definitely recommend Mary at Arturo's!! read more

I had my hair highlighted and it was too light for me. I went back and John (the owner) agreed and added lowlights. I left very happy with the results. I was not charged. I want to commend him for good business practices. 1st time here was a month ago. Not too impressed. Stylist named Sara did my highlights. Upon meeting her in reception area, she just said ''you ready?" I didn't know her from Adam... Didn't introduce herself...no nice to meet you... nothing. SHe looked like she just woke up. hair a mess up in half bun - half pony tail? something to that affect. No make up, & not professionally dressed at all. She did just an ''ok'' job on highlights/base color, but not really what I had asked. It wasn't until I got home that I realized she missed several spots on my hair line. I specifically told her I am not too picky, but that is one thing that mattered most...cover my grays in hairline. The salon itself was nice and receptionist was friendly, but I will not be returning. read more

Took my daughter to have Hailey cut her hair, my daughter has been cutting her hair the past couple years herself because she doesn't like how hair dressers cut her hair. She showed Hailey what she wanted and she came through! My daughter has been looking at her new haircut since we have been home. Makes me happy to see her happy! read more

Angela Von Yokes did an amazing job fixing my prior bad haircut I tried at home. She made everything cohesive and kept the length just like I asked. I have been going to Arturo's for a few years now. Morgan is my stylist and she is a complete gem! I have naturally curly hair and Morgan is always able to give me a cut that works for wearing my hair curly or straight. She also does a great balayage! She's young and stylish, and I completely trust her to give me a cut and /or color that will make me forget my real age :) My husband, son, and MIL now get cuts from Morgan too. read more

My wife has been going to Arturo's for awhile. She now has my son go there for his hair too. I personally will only go to a barber. However, I am impressed with the girl who cuts my sons hair. Ofelia Alpizar does a great job. She is very capable and pays great attention to detail. She works hard to satify her clientele and exceeds my expectation. For example - I took my son into Arturo's today on Labor Day. It was a holiday for everyone - except Ofelia. As always - she was pleasant and did a great job. I recommend Ofelia Alpizar - she is a nice girl and does a consistently nice hair cut. read more

I went there to correct bad haircut and left with worst haircut. Lisa, mowed the back of my hair so unevenly and left 2 sides, close to my face long. I got bad short haircut on the back and boob style on front. It looked horrible and when I said its too short on the back she tried to convince me saying it's all about styling not haircut !!!!! Really????? Than she said the back of your hair was short and I said NO it wasn't I know how long it was its my hair lol...I'm still waiting my hair to grow out of this awful cut there is no shape This happened on April and here we are on July. I'm never going back there. I think they are hiring newbies and those new stylists get experience over people's hair like me.... read more

had a worst experience with a stylist named jen . my hair was burn at the ends for highlight. as a result. my hair had to be cut extremely short. and jen refused to treat my hair with conditioner. instead refer me to another stylist fot treatment..also found out she did not know how to cut men or women hair style. The place has not worked for me and I have attempted two stylists. Caylie (very sweet girl) didn't do the color that I requested. I was shocked when the foils came out and I was all one color, I asked for two. Instead of fixing it, she said she would give me a discount next time I came in?? Then I switched to Lisa McSwain, good stylist but very high on herself. She doesn't mind you waiting. The first time it was 40 minutes, the second time was 25 and would have been longer but I walked out. There are too many prompt and courteous professionals out there. Arturo's has added an excellent stylist to their team - Ms. Bernadette Mosqueda! Ask for her! I went to her after a HORRIBLE color from Color Me Happy (DO NOT GO THERE!!!!) and Bernadette saved my hair! I was certain nobody could fix the horrible job, but Bernadette worked a miracle! I was very pleased with her work and go to her for all my hair styling. Never once have had a complaint. She is great! read more

I went in for some subtle bayalage highlights and came out with two-toned hair that looked terrible. I had to leave to pick up my child so couldn't get it dried at the salon, so I didn't notice how bad it was until getting home and drying it. I tried to part the hair in different places, curl my hair...anything to break up the highlights and disguise it. I finally had to schedule a follow up to fix the issue. I went back to the salon two days later. One thing that really annoyed me about the stylist (Aimee) was that she saw my hair and asked, "what seems to be the problem?" Really?! In addition, she refused to just admit that she messed up the highlights--not blending them; she kept trying to write the situation off as me deciding I didn't like light highlights after all (like it was about changing preferences rather than her mistake). She kept trying to get me to agree to fixing the highlights or adding lowlights. I told her I just wanted a solid brown color. It looks fine now. I will also say that she charged me the second time to fix her mistake; there was a discount but I really feel that it should have been free of charge. If you like the look of my 2-toned hair, then by all means go there, but if you come away disappointed, just know that they will charge you again, so you end up paying over $200 for a basic brown shade. read more

Scheduled an appt for haircut and style with Ronnie online through Yelp which was very convenient. I asked for a long angled bob and he gave me exactly what I asked for. My husband says my hair looks sexy which is a win in my book! Ronnie was very accommodating as I have an allergy to a preservative in almost and shampoos and conditioners. We read the labels of his products to find ones that were ok. I will definitely be a repeat customer now that I live in the area. read more

Ronnie has left, but I was able to find an absolute angel in Emily. She fixed an absolutely awful haircut that I had gotten at a different salon that I didn't think could be saved. I'll be back again and again and again, and I have learned my lesson about straying. The whole place seems to know hair in and out, and they attend additional training past their initial training. They take the time to explain why they cut how they cut, and I've learning something about my own hair whenever I've gone in. Please go here. They're amazing. read more

This salon (if that is what you call it) is very high price, low quality. A friend of mine had his hair done there as did his mother and father. I went along (No, they did not touch my hair). The gal was pleasant enough but my friend's hair looked terrible when finished - like to the effects of when children cut their own hair. Then my friend's father took his turn and the results were similar only worse. I noticed while I was there that all the women leaving had the same style of hair. Basically everyone looked the same. I was wondering if this was a first stop salon after the beauty academy. My friend's mother's hair turned out a brassy reddish color with they same cut as all the others I saw who were leaving. Like I mentioned the gal (I will not mention her name) was pleasant just not very educated in the art of hair design. I am in no way bashing this place just trying to save others from a hair disaster. There are plenty of other places in the area to chose from. PLEASE do so. Horrible experience... Started with a Mother Day gift card.... Would Not recommend unless you have time & patience for conflicting answers. As I was attempting to speak with Management, as oddly as this sounds, ever had the manager approach you to talk w your hair stylist has a blow dryer on you? After $130.00, color & trim, blow dry bangs, you decide is this good service? Oh not to mention no place to park to make it on time. Still waiting for return call...... read more

I first went here when we lost the one stylist who managed to work well with my son (he was 3 at the time). Ronnie was absolutely amazing with him. He didnt cry once. I decided to try him for my hair this last May. He listened to what I wanted and managed to make it even better than I expected. LOVE the work he did. Definitely worth it!!! read more
