Nice place and good location. I came here because of the competitive pricing ($30 for mani pedi). I tipped 18% but was met with a lot of dirty looks. I asked if she was upset by the tip and she said, "people usually tip more. Usually $5 per service, and you had a manicure and pedicure. We offer a private service." She expected a 30% tip, and by private I guess she meant, 6 chairs and 6 people working. I gave her some more in cash to make her happy. The work was average and one nail chipped the next day. If you don't mind the pressure and high tip, and you're in the area, then go for it. read more

This is my second time here, I made an app for 6:15 pm, went I walked in the lady who greeted me asked me how can i help you? I told her I have an appointment. She then asked again how can I help you? I repeated I have an appointment. She stared at me confused and looked at the other nail technicians. She the turned around once again and raised her voice how can I help you? I got a little frustrated and spoke way louder than I normally would and repeated I have an appointment! She finally answered and said oh okay what time? I said 6:15 she looked super annoyed and I got the feeling she was going to do my pedicure, which she did and I could tell she was not happy that she had to stay later, which I found awkwardly weird since they close at 7pm and I would expect they take their last appointment at 6:30 pm. Once she started to work on me I could tell she was rushing... I bit my tongue, and decided to wait and figure out how she was going to continue the service. I'm sure she felt me staring right at her and she noticed I was paying close attention to her she decided to slow down and take the proper amount of time. She did do a pretty good solid job, I just did not appreciate the rushing. read more

I've basically became a regular and come here every TWO WEEKS (the polish lasts this long typically). Ive been here about 8 times already. They have a wide selection of colors and the staff is very friendly. I always get a mani/pedi for $30 and I never feel rushed or annoyed. They also give you a shoulder/arm/foot massage too which is AMAZING! I'm very picky about who I let touch my hands and feet since I've heard of horror stories, but here they use new clean tools every time and they're gentle. Too greedy for tips. They asked for tips and payment when my nails were still wet. Without the drying machines, ( can't believe they don't have it in the salon). I have to sit there for another hour to AIR DRY my nails. I gave them 20% tips which was pretty generous comparing to the services I received. However, the lady with black frame glasses suddenly changed her face after she received 20% tips instead of 30% tips. We customer should give tips based on the services instead of being an innocent person. In that case, they do not deserve any tips for the impatience they showed to the customer and lack of the basic equipment for standard nail treatment. read more

Love it here! Best deal for a mani/pedi in town at $35. Includes a small shoulder massage. Ladies are really nice. Minus one star because parking is a little difficult. I don't think this place deserves a star. Horrible quality on the nail polish. Started chipping on the 3rd day. Nail polish basecoat and topcoat is in an OPI bottle but the quality is far being an OPI. Came here twice, first visit was okay since I had both Mimi and Lyn but on the second visit, I had Lulu who did a horrible file job on my pedicure. Did not file right even though I specified, square round but it was rough and uneven. The shoulder massage they give, it's a joke! This is boarder line a three star review, but it's 4 because you get what you pay for and honestly, I would go just for the massage that comes along with the mani/pedi. This place is fast, the new location is really cute and clean inside, the ladies who work there are friendly, and it's the cheapest place around. The bad news, my shellac never last as long as other places and I really can't figure out why but it just doesn't. I end up getting chips one or two days later and by the end of the week I need a completely new manicure. Even my pedicure is chipping after a week. After coming here once prior and having a decent experience,I'm really disappointed. I called and asked if Neon Nails did dip powder manicures, as I get them regularly. The girl on the phone hesitantly answered yes. I showed up for my appointment, and She started off by telling me she usually gives customers discounts on the powder manicure, which I thought was a little odd, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. As she started removing my old tips from my prior manicure,she started ripping off the tips which didn't feel great,overdoing it on the buffing, sanding etc. I sat there for almost 2 hours just for her to not do the dip powder manicure right, and she finished off by putting regular nail polish on the very top just to cover up the bad job. She adamantly kept insisting that she liked natural nails which to be honest shouldn't even matter because she should be doing what the customers preference is. To top it off, I still had to pay for it.... I probably won't be coming back here for these manicures because I could have painted my nails myself, saved 40 dollars, and 2 hours of my time. read more

I love this place and the ladies who work there are great. Jeanie, the owner, works there and runs a tight ship. She treats her customers like gold, and her core workers have been with her a long time.... and they are all very good at it. If you ever by a fluke received a sloppy mani or pedi at Neon Nails, that worker did not last long. I always ask for Jeanie and Tiffany for my $30 mani/pedi (crazy good deal), but if one of them is not available when I walk in, I still get excellent service. Nail art is not my thing, but if you want anything else in regards to a mani/pedi or sculptured nails, this is the best place in Houston. I've paid more elsewhere but it was not as good as Neon Nails... neither the amazing shoulder and foot massage, or the results. read more

I had one of the best experiences today at neon nails. I love that a mani pedi is 30 bucks, and they are very efficient - one person is doing your nails while the other is working on your toes and you relax in a very comfortable recliner. They throw in this back massage that tops some of the actual massages I've paid for. Very clean and extremely nice ladies. And while I was there 2 men walked in and got a mani pedi as well! I'm never one to complain but I called ahead and made sure they had time for me but when I got there they were rushing through everything. the "15 minute" massage lasted 4 minutes...and my shellac mani looks awful.
