After she filed my nails down so finely, I asked for either a dip top coat or to do dip instead, she then told me it would be $75 how? Where in Houston does anyone charge $75 for a full dip set on real nails? Im so confused. During my pedicure (Height Rise) , the massage was WHILE my gel was soaking off. All around HORRIBLE! Pleasant environment. Pedicure was just okay. The polish was sloppy. Nice massage and the gal tried but I think maybe is not hugely skilled.

Staff is really amazing, nice, and very welcoming for first time guests. I've been coming for the last two years and Mayra does my nails all the time and she never misses the mark on them. Compared to other nail places, this is the only one where my nails have lasted over four weeks without chipping or breakage. The first time I went there, I was really impressed. Toni gave the best pedicure and they did a fill on my acrylics really well. I paid $102 for pedicure fill and regular polish on my daughter's nails. Today I went back and selected the minimum pedicure and got the same thing on my toes as last time with no nails and polish on two of my daughter's nails they charged me $92 on a advertised 39$ pedicure adding all these up charges I do think they're good at what they do, but beware the prices will change and become expensive. read more

I just got back from here. Met a friend for a pedicure. i used to go here all the time but now I know why I stopped going first of all he cut my nails on an angle. Mayra did an amazing job with my manicure. She aims for perfection. 10000/10 recommend her work. My partner had his pedicure done by Jenny and she as well payed very close attention to his nails and removed lots of dead skin from his nail beds. 10/10 I received a pedicure by a gentleman named Ben I believe and he did a decent job but. He seemed a bit distracted by other clients and didn't pay much attention to my nail beds. When he scrubbed my foot I still walked away with a bit of rough skin. I have gone here a few time and have loved it!! I went in for a full set and pedicure. The full set turned out fine but my pedicure was an entirely different story! I'm not normally one to complain but they cut my really badly and when I brought it to their attention they blamed me. When I went to pay I told them again that I couldn't even get the polish i wanted because the cut was so deep! They offered me $4 off and that was just an insult! I will never be spending another dime there and advise that you don't as well! read more

I have been a long time customer and have always been happy. Today was the exception. The technician cut down my nails on one hand quite a bit and left the other hand's nails longer. I had asked to keep my nails long at the beginning of the service. I was not happy with how short my nails had been cut. I asked for a discount on the manicure. The managers response was rather rude and ridiculous. First of all she rudely responded "can I talk?" Then she said if I didn't pay I was taking food off the technician's children's table. The manager stated that she did not pay them and they only earned what I pay. I got tired of trying to explain how unhappy I was with the service and just paid for it! However, I will never go to this Salon again due to the manager's response. Its a shame because I had been going there for several years. read more

I went here for the first time about two and half weeks ago. I was nervous about going since thinks were just opening up due to Covid-19. However, it was very clean inside with all the employees masked up and social distancing. I originally asked for a basic mani and pedi, but was convinced to do a nail dip because I was told it would last at least three weeks. Exactly two weeks later, my dip nails have started falling off. Oddly, the basic manicure has stayed intact. I emailed the business about why this was the case and have yet to get a response. I brought my mother in to treat her and she was in the process of losing her toe nail. The tech told her "her feet smelled bad" so she got extremely uncomfortable. She told him to just forget it and didn't get the service so I ended up leaving as well. They charged us full price ( over priced service) for the service we didn't get. Incredible nail experience with Ray as my manicurist and Phoebe as my pedicurist. They have recently redone the whole place and it's pristine! I went just this last week, seeing that I'm 39 weeks pregnant and wanted my toes to be done before baby came...! Ah it was so relaxing. I originally felt anxious going in due to COVID. I have been 110 percent precautious. However, there were just a few people there (all wearing masks), and socially distanced. When I walked in I was told to scrub and wash my hands at the sink. Hands down one of the best pedicures I have ever gotten! I have really thin nails that constantly chip and break and look horrible but Mindy was able to make my feet look sexy! She took her time and was super thorough and gently cut away any extra skin and callous. I cant stress enough that this was a good pedicure since I really struggle with dry skin and hangnails, my feet were cleaned up so good! I will be coming here exclusively. I also really like the way its decorated inside, its a beautiful salon with many options for complimentary beverages. I also like that they have magazines to read while youre getting your nails done! Today my experience at Borgata was not the usual. I asked for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure experience was amazing (thanks Leo)! The manicure, not so much. Per the pictures, the process was just sloppy and messy even after I mentioned it needed cleaning up. Additionally, they do not offer a birthday perk or discount which is disappointing (my other favorite nail place does). I will give Borgata another try but I will not request Krystal for my manure next time. read more

Can't recommend this place enough. Inexpensive always clean and super fast. The nails are always quality especially if you ask for Leo or Andy. Leo doesn't do sets but his dip powder is so meticulous and always pristine. He also does amazing pedicures. Andy did my current set and I'm extremely pleased with the quality. I just moved into the neighborhood, so I've been searching for a new nail salon to settle in. Not sure if they were having a crappy day or what, but both the customer service and the work was definitely not what we expected. 1. The energy was so off. 2. The nail technician had my finger spilling out blood... and proceeded to pour acetone onto it! 3. My shellac chipped within seconds of her finishing. 4. My pedicure looked as if my 3 year old niece did it... both big toes weren't even fully painted! Im not one of bash and I always root for small business', but I was astounded. I get my nails done every two weeks and if the work is great, I don't mind spending the money, but I was really disappointed by the work, the service, and the fact that it was stupid expensive. I do believe that if you want your business to thrive, one should encourage their employees to do their best, if not find a work that is better suited for you. read more

This was my second visit to Borgata. My first visit was with my husband and a friend, we all had pedicures that were great. I was impressed by the cleanliness and quality of service. This second visit I got a dipped manicure and polish change on my toes. The dipped manicure was THICK and some of my nails were uneven. The edges around my cuticle were raised and uneven. All of these things don't seem to be noticeable to others but they are extremely annoying to have to look at for 2 weeks. I asked for two nails on each hand to be a different color than the rest of my nails. My technician made sure to mention that was "not pretty, but it's your nail not mine." I'm happy with the color combination I chose but feel like the comment was unwarranted and unprofessional. The polish change on my toes was also very uneven along the cuticle and the polish unevenly covered the edges of the my nail bed. I will not be returning due to the unprofessionalism and poor quality of my dipped nails. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for over a year. Always been happy with how they treat me and with the outcome. UNFORTUNATELY I got my nails yesterday Hailey took care of me to do my solar nails. I told her I like the French tip thin and she did it thick. I had to keep asking her to fix them, but unfortunately it wasn't able to be fix. I paid $50 for a job I didn't like. & also I usually get a hand massage with whatever I choose to get, this time she told me to wash my hands and that we were done. I came to this salon on a "girl's day out" with a group of ladies and decided, that along with a pedicure, I would go ahead and get my nails refilled while there. (This was a 45 minute drive for me) There were 6 of us and they placed us in our own private room- good thing because we can get a little loud and rowdy! Although the other 5 ladies in our party were already getting pedicures, I was left sitting in the massage chair- for over 15-20 minutes. I asked if they could refill my nails during my pedicure so that I could visit with my girlfriends but they said they didn't have enough workers... They finally started on my pedicure and I just got the basic because I knew the other ladies would be done before me. Although they couldn't do a refill at my chair, they gave a couple of girls in our party manicures while getting a pedicure. Eventually, I was asked to move to the front to get a refill - I really didn't want to move because I rarely get to see my best friend. Hailey was the girl who worked on my nails- she asked me if I wanted a "full set," I told her "no, I don't have tips; I just have an overlay on my natural nail." I picked a hot pink powder and she began removing the old red color from my nails. She kept insisting on a "full set" but again, I do not have fake nails, I have a powder overlay on my natural nail. (In the meantime, my friends were done and had already begun to leave.) To make a long story short, the powder was not completely stirred so I have white spots throughout my nails, the edges are not completely sealed and covered so they look "black" underneath which gives a "dirty nail" appearance. (I'm assuming this is from the red polish that wasn't completely removed.) Also, my nails were filed unevenly...they charged me $40 for this crappy nail job. When I paid, I asked the cashier to look at my nails and asked her if it was normal to have white spots throughout the pink powder... she said it was normal since there was white powder mixed in also. WRONG! The powder did not look like this on the sample and I KNOW that it was not properly mixed. I'm so irritated and frustrated because now I have to go pay my regular nail tech to fix this uneven, spotty, black-tipped mess! Oh, and my nails hurt... yes, painfully sore. read more
