No need to correct them on their work. Only complaint is they tend to go up on prices pretty often like every 6 months. They have upgraded to new massage chairs which are amazing. Had a great mani and pedi experience here recently. Jenny did my full set and Sarah did my pedicure. I usually do almond solid color and solid pedicure so usually don't request anyone specifically and everyone does amazing, but Jenny did great on my last set where I requested almond frenchies with chrome. I took my daughter here for a spa day and paid $230 for two pedicures and two simple manicures. While the service was fast and the staff seemed friendly at check-out, the quality was terrible. That exact same night, my daughter's nail completely came off. I had to waste time out of my busy schedule to go back the next day to get it fixed. On top of that, the technicians constantly spoke in their own language around us, making us feel uncomfortable and left wondering if they were talking about us. Update 6/8 - My nails only lasted 15 days. My middle finger nail has already chipped. I guess it's from making the dip to thin. So sad they usually last me 21 days. 5/24- I got dip ($50+10 removal of gel builder) and pedicure done ($47). Jessica was great at doing my dip nails. The dip is on my natural nail. I'm so glad it was not put on super thick like I've gotten it before with someone else there. It really looks like straight nail polish, so cute and clean looking except she did cut me twice on my ring finger and thumb when buffing. Maria did my pedicure (milk and honey one) and she did great too. She actually took her time and made sure she painted my toes nails right compared to the other several times I've been there they misses spots on the sides. It's kind of a drive but so worth it. ONE STAR -- DO NOT RECOMMEND Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. I came in for a builder gel refill and left with nails that were crooked, uneven, over-filed, and sloppy. Tim filed down all of my nails and completely ruined the shape. On top of that, the builder gel was flooded all over my cuticles, which is basic nail work that should never happen at a professional salon. When I spoke up about how bad they looked, Trish, the manager, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, acting like the problem didn't exist instead of taking accountability. To make the situation even worse, the staff started talking about me in Vietnamese right in front of me, which was incredibly disrespectful and uncomfortable. If you're going to gossip about customers, at least have the decency not to do it while they're sitting there. The only person who showed any professionalism was May, who tried to fix the nails the best she could after the damage was already done. She deserves credit, but one employee can't make up for an entire team's lack of professionalism. This was hands down the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I've been coming to Milano Nail Spa for six years, and unfortunately, my recent experience with Ben, the manager at the Houston Heights location, was extremely disappointing. I received a regular manicure and was asked to use a drying machine, which I had never been asked to do during my previous visits. In the past, even with regular manicures, the UV drying machines were used. Since this was unfamiliar to me, I did not know how long the polish needed to dry. My nails ended up getting messed up, and I simply said I would return to have them fixed. When I came back, Ben aggressively approached me and said, "I know what actually happened. You didn't listen and didn't wait long enough." His tone was confrontational, he was visibly hot-headed, and he raised his voice at me. I chose not to argue because I simply wanted my nails fixed. Regardless of what Ben believed happened, there was absolutely no reason for a manager to speak to a longtime customer this way. His behavior was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. Based on my experience, I do not believe Ben should be in a management or customer-facing position. EDIT: Thank you for responding. I appreciate Milano acknowledging that I have been a loyal customer for six years, and I also appreciate the technician taking the time to repair my nails at no additional charge. However, I do need to correct several inaccuracies in this response. I did not return to the salon the same day. I returned two days later. Additionally, when I came back, I did not ask or demand that all ten nails be completely redone. The salon made the decision to remove and repaint all of my nails without me asking them to do so. I also want to clarify that in my six years of regularly visiting Milano, the UV drying machines have always been used after my regular manicures. Whether UV light technically cures regular polish is beside the point- I was following the same process I had experienced at your salon for years. This was the first time I can recall being expected to air-dry my nails for an extended period of time, and I was never told that I needed to wait two hours or longer before normal activity. I fully acknowledge that my nails smudged. I never blamed the technician, became disrespectful, or caused a scene. I simply returned two days later to have them corrected and appreciated the salon's willingness to help. That said, my review was never about the nail polish, drying process, or complimentary repair. It was about Ben's behavior toward me. Regardless of what Ben believed happened, there was no reason for him to aggressively approach me, raise his voice, and accuse me of "not listening." I did not argue with him or escalate the situation because I simply wanted my nails fixed. I have supported Milano for six years and would not leave a review like this over smudged nail polish. I respect that management wants to provide context and defend the business, but I am disappointed that the response focuses heavily on the manicure while failing to address the actual reason for my review: the way I was spoken to by a manager. I genuinely wish Milano the best and appreciate the many positive experiences I've had there over the years. I usually come here for my pedicure and I love hoe there is practically no wait time every time I visit. There have so many ladies and gentleman available to help you with your service. It is always clean, smells great, and everyone is just super nice. However, this last visit, the pricing seemed a bit excessive. The amount for a Lavender Pedicure is $37, all fine there but since I wanted a French design, add $10, then gel, add $20 foh for a total of $67. They do such quality work that my natural nails are the healthiest and longest they have ever been. Also, I appreciate their transparent pricing: while you are on your chair, each technician writes down on a piece of paper the price breakdown (i.e. $30 for express pedicure + $20 for shellac polish), and shows you, so you know exactly how much you will pay at the end. No surprises. I will say, sometimes I do feel rushed when I first walk in the door. I understand their commitment to efficiency, but it would be nice if they would slow down a little when checking you in and taking you to your chair. The staff is nice but give off the impression they're trying to hurry up. They had me walk past the paint wall and didn't give me a chance to take a look.
