Placed an order for breakfast at 10:26am and 3 hours later still nothing. Called the restaurant 5 times and everytime they told me "food is leaving right now" or "food just left" . I've been supporting local businesses during quarantine, and I understood it's mothers day but 3 hours? Everytime I called they told me almost there and apparently this restaurant has their own drivers which I wasn't made aware of. As a traditional pizza shop cheese steak I like this cheesesteak very much. I got the combo steak. The extras spent time together on the grill, they got to know each other and they blended their flavors very well. There was a good amount of cheese and it was melted completely through every millimeter of this cheesesteak. Good traditional roll. The combo comes with sauce and the roll held up beautifully. Plenty of inside seating. The two things I didn't like was that $2.50 for a birch beer and the local police were eating next door. Very good experience. read more

Never been here. Moved here a year and a half ago so still some places we havent checked out. We dont know why weve missed this one so far because it didnt dissapoint! As others have said, this place used to be good, and we went here a lot, but it has thoroughly gone downhill, and after giving them many tries to rebound, it is only getting worse. Subsequent experiences have left us repulsed by Neopolitan. I witnessed "Johnny," the older man who works here, wipe sweat from his forehead with an un-gloved hand, and then shove it back into the food he was making (still gloveless). I'm pretty sure this is a health code infraction, which I could not believe was happening in front of me, and he looked me in the eye when he did it. They are repeatedly out of menu items, but they refuse to tell customers this. They put whatever substitution they can improvise into your order, and charge your for it without telling you. When you ask WTF, they say "oops sorry" like it's no big deal, and do it again the next time. After TEN TIMES IN A ROW of missing burger toppings (like ALL toppings, not just one thing), substituting greasy disgusting toast for kaiser rolls, giving half the amount of fries they normally do because they are almost out, etc. we finally asked for a refund on our last order. It was MORE than deserved. (Any other takeout place I have ever been to would never sell substitutions without ASKING you first. If they screw up, they replace the meal, or offer a refund. One time Newtown Pizza gave us too few chicken fingers and sent their delivery guy out with a replacement order. THIS is how decent businesses practice.) So this past time, I called and explained we did not get what we ordered (for the 10th time) and I wanted to return it. The young guy, who told me his name was John, gave the old apology, and specifically told me NOT to return it, claiming he would just refund us. I told him I was not going to eat it and had no use for it, and again he promised to refund us. However, the promise was odd because he was not about to take my name, number, or c-card info in order to actually process this refund. I asked how he would refund us without our info? He then HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and asked again. Again, I was promised the refund, and I guess he pretended to actually take our info, because of course, no refund ever came. I feel like a total fool to have trusted them and given them a chance to make right. The truth is, they don't care. That is just their attitude. They take your money for greasy-toast non-menu food (with sweat in it), that they themselves would never pay for, and then laugh all the way to the bank. Totally disgusting behavior. In retrospect, I seems "John" told me not to return the food because he knew he couldn't swindle me out of the money if I physically returned it. They should be ashamed of themselves, but sadly, they're not. We'll never go back. This place is gross. read more

Zero stars, but it won't let me post with 0. Food was always great - but the problem wasn't the food with us..... We used to order hoagies, fries, onion rings, wings, etc. for our family often for weekend dinners - and this place was one of the tops on our list. However, never again. About a year ago one Sat night we placed our order, call it an approx $65 order.... I picked up and paid with a debit card. No biggie, right? So a few days later, looking at our bank account online, I noticed that the charge that hit our account was actually $30 more than the order.... Huh? So I double checked the receipt and sure enough, yup - food + tax = $65. I do the double take and the charge was $95. My wife called them to get them to fix it - and sure enough, big apology, it was a mistake, etc. etc. and she was told to come to the store and they'll just give back $30 cash. Ok, mistakes happen - done. Sure enough about 3 months later - same thing happened. $30 more than the bill hit our card. My wife called again, gave them the scenario - and she was told that it was a mistake, probably added it as a tip by mistake because there was a table sitting and he probably charged our card for their tip in error blah blah blah.... So I thought back to that Sat night when I picked up - and I do remember a table of 4 sitting eating. Well, it's highly unlikely that they ran a tab that would have generated a $30 tip (i.e. A $150 food bill with a $30 tip added to it). So frankly it was a total BS story - nonetheless my wife went back again and got the $30 back. There's no way it was a mistake - second time around for the same amount within a few months. It's stealing is what it is. Sooooo - a few weeks after incident #2, we're talking to neighbors of ours telling them the story. Well guess what? Same thing happened to their other friends. Not a coincidence. We haven't been back since and I'm shocked that they haven't been busted. Sad, because we always liked the food, the environment and even most of the workers. A basic deli serving cold and hot sandwiches as well as a few other basic dishes. I have always had a good meal here and the kids enjoy the food. They have a decent beer cooler. You can put together a six pack with a reasonable variety for $10. For the quality of the food with the price, I give it the 4 stars. Nothing fancy but...This is a fun old-fashioned sandwich joint with paneled walls and lots of memorabilia to look at. They have an extensive beer cooler for to go sixpacks. We popped in here before going to our favorite consignment store a few shops down and were not disappointed. Our server was super friendly and gave us plenty of time to look at the basic menu. She showed us a few good options including house made turkey and roast beef. My six-year-old daughter truly enjoyed her delicious BLT sandwich with fresh potato chips. I know it's silly talking about a BLT sandwich but she's had a few lately that I thought could've been better. This one was made with love and she devoured it. I loved my turkey Reuben specially ordered with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. They offer a breakfast menu which might be fun to try some time with the kids for a change of pace. The waitress was raving about their Italian hoagie I might try that next time if I can get away from the yummy Rubin. This is not a place for the ladies who lunch. It's more for the regulars who said around reading their papers chatting with the waitress and leave with a six pack of specialty beers satisfied all around. I'm only writing this to review my customer service experience, the food has been great in my opinion and I will miss it. Yesterday I tried to place my usual (almost weekly) lunch order. I called in and got a young woman who I'm thinking was relatively new as she seemed unfamiliar with certain menu items. Not a problem, we all learn as we go. The problem was, as I was giving her my card info to pay for my order, she asked me for my home address. I had already given her the delivery address at my work so I asked if she meant the delivery address which wasn't my home. No, she wanted my home address to process my card payment. Um, what? So I asked if she meant just the billing zip code for my card, which some card processing providers do request although the last time I called in an order about two or three weeks prior this was not requested. Again I was told she needed my full home address. I asked why this was suddenly required as it had not been and the response was "If you won't give me your address then I can't take your order." I again asked for an explanation. I was then told, "my boss can call you later." And as I'm asking her to hold on a second and speak with me she hung up on me. Rude doesn't quite begin to cover it. So I called back and got a guy who said it was a new policy. I asked if he could understand why it seemed odd and why I wanted an explanation. All I got from him was an obviously dismissive "ok" over and over. Then he said, "Look, we're really slammed, can you call back." I told him I had no intention of ever calling back or ordering from there again. If I ever told a customer at my job, "sorry I'm too busy to speak with you" and was so dismissive, especially to a customer with a concern, I'd be in serious trouble. I have worked for 15 years for companies that offer card processing services to merchants. I have never come across one made for a restaurant that asked for a full address to process payments. I even asked my current merchant services rep if he'd ever seen it before and he never has. How would a restaurant have the time or the ability to gather that info? All I know is I'm not comfortable giving out my home address to someone who knows I'm ordering food to a business, because now they know I'm not home. I'm not saying there's anything shady going on here, but you can't be too careful so just be aware if you're paying with a card over the phone when you order. As for me, I'll miss their food, but I'll be ordering from other small businesses in the area that know how to speak to customers properly and haven't implemented sketchy new policies. read more

it had been some years since I had any food from here. I tried it recently and I was disappointed. Some sad frozen fried shrimp that looked like frozen out of a box in Acme. The putter patty melt was good but Spending 40 bucks for this food kind of pissed me off. I do feel ripped off unfortunately. That was my one and done. Never again. Words for Neopolitan - Get better quality food. It doesn't have to be top of the line expensive food but you can do better. I want my money back if anything. Also, when you sell cheese fries you usually use whiz or mozzarella. They only use American or swiss and I was only told that after I asked. This is a great little deli that makes large hoagies made with fresh meats. The staff is very friendly and service is quick. If I could give Neopolitan 3.5 would....Walked in around 5pm and the place was empty. Had very friendly service and ordered a turkey hoagie to go. Much to my delight, the turkey is in fact freshly roasted muscle meat and not gross pre-packaged deli meat. Bravo! The ratio of meat/cheese/veg was spot on for me (I always order heavy on the veg). My only gripes and reasons for not a better score are: 1/ attendant did not wear gloves and the deli bain marie was in the open so I could see his bare-handed sandwich prep. 2/ bread was ok but not great. If they could get a better roll, (yes, Liscio's does deliver to this area...sesame seeded would be dreamy) that would be super, and finally, 3/ yes it nice they have beer, but the prices were too high. $18.00 for a 6 pack of craft beer? After opening the bag, I couldn't have been more disappointed with the overall quality of the food. [Chicken Cesar Wrap] - chicken hard, chewy, almost inedible. [French Fries] - hard, bland, cold, no seasoning or flavor. As a first-time customer, I decided to call this restaurant to speak with the manager, and make a complaint. After patiently waiting for several minutes on hold; a man (who did not identify himself) claimed to be the manager, and took my call. As I began to explain my particular situation and overall dissatisfaction with the food delivery order; I was abruptly cut off by this man, and was told that "I WAS WRONG"! The Real Italian Hoagie is the best I have ever eaten. The Fresh Turkey Hoagie is right behind. The key is in the meats and cheeses. They start with great italian meats and cheeses. And the Fresh Turkey is not the processed turkey you get at any other deli--it is right from a cooked turkey. I used to order on my way home from the airport when I traveled and lived in the area. It was like a homecoming. We moved from the area a few years ago, so the whole family misses and talks about these hoagies when we are together. Recently, I was staying at a hotel nearby on expense account. Instead of a fancy dinner, I choose one of each and took them back to the hotel with a soda and bag of chips.
