Solid pizza, the white pizza was well seasoned and the broccoli and spinach were not over cooked or burnt. The red pizza was basic but goodI would order both again in the future. The crust is not thin though it was more of as Sicilian style, which was a nice change from some of the other local pizza places. We order from Vic & Dean's fairly regularly, today we were disappointed. The order was placed online, the receipt clearly said Provolone Cheese on the chicken cheesesteak, there was no cheese. The pickles were sweet, not normally what is on the sandwich when we order. The oddest part was that the chicken cheesesteak was on two separate hot dog rolls instead of a hoagie roll. We did call in and inform them that this was a disappointing lunch, out of the normal for them. We ordered pizza to our new home because we love this place so much. We ordered online and typed in our address and for whatever reason it was delivered to an old address two hours later. We ordered at 5:30 and still didn't have it by 7:30. I'm really big on customer service and I understand things happen but when I physically type in the address it's going to there should be no confusion about where it should be delivered. After an hour passed I called back and they said they had a lot of deliveries and the driver should be there soon. When my food arrived moments later it was cold. The pizza is above average and tasty if you order a fresh made pie. I just had a plain cheese and it's pretty good for what you get on the mainline. I once went into the actual store for just 2 slices, and my guess is that they were hanging around there a long time and it tasted like garbage. This is randomly smack in the middle of various suburban developments that have been Frankenstein-ed together by breaking through cul-de-sacs and winding the road for the split-levels into the road for the mini-Capes. It took several twists and turns to get there through the sprawl of little homes. I wish I could offer a landmark for someone to find it, but aside from Odorisio Park, it is next to an entrance for the Radnor Trail, and the rest is just a patchwork of older developments everywhere. Sadly, after the effort to get there, the food was really, really bad. My hunch is that most of the people supporting this place live in the homes nearby, and they don't want to knock one of their own, and/or, they wish this place was what they want it to be, and think that high-star reviews will magically make the bad food taste good? Or perhaps the Vanilla-set-of-Mainliners-with-no-tastebuds strikes again? But, seriously people, it's just not good food. The fries were the batter-dipped kind (i.e. the CHEAPEST available from restaurant suppliers, thus the reason they are sold at Burger King, the bottom-rung of takeout). I refused to put a fry in my mouth. My husband took a bite and threw them out. I tried to eat the burger but only managed a few bites. Really cheap quality patty. The vegetables tasted sour. I don't know if the pickle somehow had something funky going on and affected all the rest, but everything tasted oddly sour and not fresh or fit for eating. My husband's sausage had been boiled in a water bath, which took any flavor completely away. The sauce/vegetables tasted canned and the roll was chewy in a bubble-gum way. We did not finish the food and threw most of it out. I fail to see how this place has higher-star reviews. Maybe it's just the folks in the local 'hood trying to make it a special place so they can feel good? Dunno. read more

We had to look for a long time to find good pizza in the Wayne/Radnor area. All the other pizza places lacked with quality on either crust, sauce, or cheese. Vic and Deans pizza has amazing cheese, wonderful tasty sauce, and the crust is good. The pizza is a big pizza too, not one of these artisanal slightly smaller pizzas. A 16" pizza vs a 12" pizza is a big big difference! Vic & Dean's Pizzeria Grill has the big one! The pepperonis are big too! We're had the large cheese and the large pepperoni. They were both amazing. Also, the staff is super friendly and the food has always been on time and hot! Get this place discovered so they can open another location!!! read more

This spot is special. We were raised around these parts and all we wanted was cheesesteaks. My sister and I came here after visiting family, had come from Brooklyn and hadn't had a decent cheesesteak in years. Vic and Deans greeted us with incredibly warm and convivial kindness, gave us our food within minutes and met every expectation. Ordered from here twice. First time got a brilliant cheesesteak and a really classic Italian hoagie--highly recommend both. Second order was more mixed. The pizza was quite good and the Italian hoagies still great. Turkey hoagie was a bit odd. They do specify that they roast the turkey in house but not that the hoagie is shredded turkey rather than sliced. Unexpected and unfortunately very dry. Best Sicilian we've found! They call it "the grandma". I don't think it's on their main menu.....you have to order it an hour in advance. It is well worth the wait. This was my first and probably last time ordering from there, I ordered a pizza at 11:20 and they said it was going to be an hour and and ten mins A very long time- but they said they were busy and I understood that so I said it was fine. But they didn't deliver until 2 HOURS. After I called. With a cold pizza btw. I called 1.5 hours after I ordered and they said any minute now. Once the lady got here and I waited for my change - I was not gonna give tips for an hour late delivery- she gave me attitude. Now my problems is that they should've called letting me know that I probably wasn't gonna be eating lunch today. Whenever my company orders out it's always Vic & Deans. I would like to go ahead and represent all of the employees at my current job and say that everything on the Vic & Deans' menus is stellar. I've personally had their Waffle Fries, Chicken Honey Mustard Wrap, Turkey Wrap, Chicken Cesar Wrap, Regular Fries, and Turkey Pizzalad. All of which I have absolutely no complaints about. For $3 you get Waffle Fries to satisfy you for three straight days. The other day I ordered that JUST FOR LUNCH. It was definitely filling. Hey, I play a lot of tennis, I can definitely afford to eat an order of fries for lunch here and there. Anyways..their Pizzalads are gigantic salads ($6-$8) with a couple slices of pizza dough. Not bad at all. Actually, I love it. As for the wraps...my company always order those for meetings and Vic & Deans will always arrange a nice platter for us (usually we call in the AM to get the platter by noon). I actually remember one time when I ordered the platter right before the lunch rush, Vic (or maybe it's Dean), felt bad that he couldn't make the wraps look perfect so he hooked me up with two large bags of chips. As for the size of the wraps...I'm pretty good with just 1/2 a wrap for lunch and I usually save the other 1/2 for my mid-afternoon snack. Wait, did I describe the Waffle Fries yet? They were salted, golden brown, not soggy, and plentiful. For $3 you cannot go wrong! I've been in there a couple of times and whenever I go in it seems as if everybody knows everybody. I never feel left out though because everyone behind the counter are usually very nice and they seem to remember our company, so that makes us feel that much more special. If you plan on eating in during lunch it may be hard for you to grab a seat. I think they seat about 15 - 20 in there. There are about 8-10 parking spaces to the side of Vic and Deans and I just want to say that you shouldn't get discourages if you can't find it right away... I almost missed it. Also, they take the Wildcard (Villanova). EDIT 4/30/08: You should avoid their cheesesteaks. They are dry and NOT what you would expect from any cheesesteak. One down. read more
