Again, the service was very good. My food was pretty good. The "Totally Tacos" (shrimp version) now has only 3 shrimp each, which is a bit less than the 4 on the old menu. We checked with our waitress, and it turns out this is a real change, not just a mistake. To be clear, Longdogger's is still one of our favorite spots to eat in the Space Coast. My friend and I are notorious for being the people who close restaurants , and Melbourne Kitchen closes at 3 PM. Somehow, we found ourselves approaching 3.5 hours at the table, just enjoying the food, conversation, and atmosphere. At one point, Chris told us that he appreciated the time we were spending there and talked about how valuable time really is. He said he was honored that we chose to spend that time with his restaurant and his staff. That genuinely stuck with me. He also shared some of the exciting things he has planned for Melbourne Kitchen -- including dinner hours, happy hour, a stage for the patio, and live music.
