Not a huge update to my reviews but in the last two visits there seems to have been a shift. Staff is happy. Attentive and the food portions of the ribs were generous. Last night I stopped in for a beer and to pick up some ribs to go. Hatters Red has grown on me. I do wish maybe another flavor of craft beer but I get it. The plantains were a larger than normal portion and cooked to perfection. Fries were also hot and crisp. The gals are always friendly but I felt a different vibe when I sat down at the bar tonight. Most of the food is solid and a friendly staff. My tuna poke bowl was pretty good, my sister enjoyed her hot dog but my dad's shrimp basket was not very good. Fries were great, but the shrimp were pretty lame in texture and taste. Like they had been frozen too long. Great place for a beer and a hotdog. But I don't recommend the shrimp. read more

My go to spot. Food is always great. Bartenders are the best. Outside and inside bar. Lots of seating. Would like a few more TV but it's not a sports bar so I get it. They just installed new fans outside to help with the heat. You won't find a better staff on the space coast than this team. Lots of other places could learn from them. read more

Absolutely a place to go if you're near by. My husband and I ordered burgers and ordered two kids meals for our toddlers. I got sweet potatoes French fries, and oh boy. It's a MUST! The food was delicious, the price was fantastic and the service was excellent! I wish I can remember our server's name but we have her the biggest tip we could because she DESERVED IT! We wish we had more to give her. The ambient was calm, chill and friendly. The had some tvs playing some sports and had some background music I think but we could still hear each other and others clearly! I loved this place and we will def come back if we're around! Smoked Fish Dip vs Key Lime Pie We came. We saw. We dipped smoked fish. Service was...fine. Not going to write home about it, but also not going to write to corporate about it either. Let's call it "adequate with a smile." The smoked fish dip? Loved that it came with veggies and not just crackers--because health, obviously. We tried a little bit of everything--wings, ribs, Thursday special things. It was like a choose-your-own-adventure, but all paths led to BBQ sauce. Key lime pie? Mid. Like a polite "meh" in dessert form. Not bad, just...existing. Atmosphere, though? A+ vibes. Patio was clean and breezy, like someone ran a Swiffer through a Jimmy Buffett song. We'll definitely be back--probably for the fish dip, possibly for the wings, and definitely not for the pie. But hey, 4 stars because we left full, mildly sunburned, and without any regrets. Need more convincing that the small town we all love no longer exists? Stopped in here Saturday at our favorite local eatery. It was busy so we put our name on the list as we've been doing for 20+ years. Then watched as they repeatedly sat larger parties ahead of us. After a few words with hostess the manager came over to say when it's busy they seat the largest group possible at the table that opens up. I sure he thought he was being a smart business man. I've never really had stellar service at any of the Long Doggers locations, but this place hits every time. We were a table of 9 with split checks and Claudia handled our orders with ease. I'm a big fan of all the Long Doggers across Brevard County! I come here for the Tuesday night fun runs where you get a free beer after your 2-3 mile run. I always get the poke bowl and refuse to get anything else because it's so good! Lots of seating available inside and outside. I used to order fish tacos or a grilled mahi sandwich. They were not on offer. Unfortunately, the place has gone downhill. The service is still good, but the food is lowbrow. I ordered a grouper sandwich. I have lived in Florida all of my life, and I know my fish, If that was grouper, I am from New York. It may have been a smaller reef fish or a thin piece from down by the tail. It was NOT a good cut of grouper. As hungry as I was, I could only eat half of the questionably thin, over-battered, overpriced poser of a grouper. The thick, chewy bun was no help. It was hard to choke it down. It was a 6 to 1 ratio of bread and batter to fish. The last time I was there, I ordered a fish basket. The good fish had been switched to swai, which is fine if you are a peasant in Vietnam but not cool in a Central Florida surf theme joint. Give me a break! You can't fake it to make it. read more

I went here for happy hour. The ambiance is tropical and lively. I really liked the outdoor bar area. The bartender was attentive. The Chardonnay wine for $4 was excellent and a good pour. The red sangria (not on the happy hour menu) was very good and still reasonably priced. Each day during the week is a $5 special. On Mondays is 7 boneless wings. The garlic Parmesan boneless wings were excellent and mild but on the smaller side. The dry rubbed jerk chicken was good with the right amount of spice but the garlic Parmesan was still better. Thursdays is 1/2 lb of peel and eat shrimp for $5 which I plan to try next time. This is a restaurant definitely worth visiting, especially for happy hour! read more

Service was very slow but I think they were understaffed because our server was also on double duty as a bartender. We were still looking at the menu and asked for a minute and probably waited like 20 minutes for our order to be taken. With the name of the restaurant being long doggers, I felt like I needed to get a hot dog but I changed my mind at the last minute and went with the crispy fish sandwich and fries. They certainly didn't skimp on the fish and the fries were really good. If you have kids, I recommend getting them the kid's meal because it includes ice cream that they get to pick out in the ice cream freezer inside. read more

Kettle chips with pulled pork, corn, beans, spicy ranch and other yummy goodness. Try it! Dinner: daughter and I opted for the Tico Pico Bowls. Hers had pulled chicken and mine with Mahi. Both were delicious. Had rice, beans, pico and each came with three fried plantains. Hubby had the tacos, really good. He had Jerk Mahi and enjoyed it. Also came with three fried sweet plantains. My son had the chicken sandwich. Was a little dry but he likes it plain so I think that's the reason...still tasty. Dessert: key lime pie...my hubby makes them back home so had to try it! This little beach "shack" doesn't have the hugest menu but there is definitely something for everyone, even if a hot dog isn't your thing. I had perhaps the best Buffalo chicken salad I've had in years. The chicken was crunchy (grilled was an option, too) and offered in mild, medium and hot Buffalo. I got mild and was pleased it still had some spice. The vegetables--romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes and red onion--were fresh, crunchy and beautiful. I ate every last bit! Stepdaughter ordered a bowl of some sort, and Hubby had a wrap. We shared an appetizer of loaded tots--crunchy tots and topped with flair. We brought along my 3-year-old and 5-year-old grandchildren, who had been here before and begged to return for the macaroni and cheese. The 3-year-old ate every bite, and the 5-year-old got close. The kids meals came with fries; one got seasoned fries, one got sweet potato waffle fries. I tried both, and they were hot and crispy. Of course, there are hotdogs of several types but we didn't order them. We all had lots of options for drinks from milk and sparkling water to many craft beer options and cocktails. Three-quarters of the way through our meal, it started to rain, and we were getting wet in the covered patio area. The servers helped us move everything inside quickly and cheerfully. Quarters are a bit tight all around but I imagine on a sunnier day when the patio flaps are open, it wouldn't feel that way. read more

Pretty good considering they were rather shortstaffed. I just can't get used to restaurants whose employees do not wear masks anymore. I do make sure to sit outside however. The food was tasty and presented very well. Again, they were very short staffed so we waited quite a while on our check but we knew they weren't going to let us go anywhere until we paid and we weren't in a big hurry. I'm looking forward to when things get a little closer to normal and I'll go back. Nothing wrong with them again, just a situation but I am a little uncomfortable with the lack of masks on the employees during a pandemic. read more
