I ordered the new "scratch resistant" fabric that was needed to cover both arms on my piece of furniture. Ignacio was very nice and highly professional. He came out to my home and carefully placed my furniture piece in his van. Ignacio asked me what fabric color I would like to use for the trim which was very thoughtful of him. He did an amazing job of removing the damaged fabric and replacing it with my new fabric. He brought my re-upholstered furniture back to my home about 2 weeks later. Now my cat can enjoy her "furniture scratch pad routine" without doing any visible damage to it! Ignacio's professional fees to perform these specialized services were very reasonable. When I dropped my chair off, we talked further about the changes I'd like to make to the chair. He throughly inspected it and made some suggestions. I felt like he really understood what I was looking for and his suggestions helped to make it cost effective versus buying a new piece of furniture. Josh has tons of fabric books to choose from at his shop and he allowed me to bring a few home. Seeing the fabric samples in my own space really helped a lot in my decision. One should note that the estimate reflects a base price for fabric. The actual final cost will more than likely increase. I found that most of the fabrics I was interested in were in the $60 per yard range. Costs can easily be much higher than that too! Aside from the wide range in fabric costs, his estimate for labor didn't change. A couple of weeks later the chair was ready to be picked up. Josh did a fantastic job. My chair looks good as new! I'm so glad that I choose to give my business to a local small business. It's also ethical to reuse what I already had as well as get a custom chair all at the same time! The fabric is heavier than usual and the chairs have a shaped back, adding to the difficulty. In addition, there is cording along every seam. They look better than new! With additional padding and a charge for bringing our own fabric it was bit pricey, but now that we've seen the quality and felt the comfort we are extremely satisfied. We're happy to support a local business and get more years out of perfectly good furniture. Craftsmanship is an amazing thing!
