They lie and say they tried to reach you when in reality they just scam people for their money. I have all the proof in emails and texts. This review is for any client or licensee looking to work with NestSeekers. The management lacks leadership in training its own agents and displays no regard for any needs above their own agendas. (Not exactly what a client deserves) They do not truly care about their own employees. I've made the personal effort to bond with both my brokers (Management) Marc Brenner & Gilli Axel for guidance in perusing my real estate career and was instructed to watch other agents on YouTube. While both these individuals differ from one another (Marc is perceived by his piers as a bit overbearing and a lot arrogant, condescending, and just not genuine at all, for he has no awareness of personal space and has spoken to me approaching less then an inch from my face on several occasions when I would greet him out of basic human respect and decency) WHILE (Gilli is perceived as immodest & condescending as well, for she once put her finger up & shushed me when I attempted to bring good news) I quote as mentioned by their own team and faculty (not quoting myself although I do somewhat agree) they both come across patronizing, smug, stuck-up, and selfish. (Again, not sure how that works with clients) I was so excited to begin the new journey and to work a new job, but mark my words, there is nothing to look forward to here unless you want to figure everything out solo. I received more help from office assistants (Which by the way change frequently due to the intolerance of the character of Gilli Axel & Marc Brenner) then my own mentors who don't deserve to be called mentors. I hold no malice against anyone in the company however, I can't allow someone to face my same disappointment or discouragement. I take responsibility for my lack of success, but management will take responsibility for their lack of involvement in my growth. I have decided to cut ties as I'm ready to truly grow with an agency that will teach me to perform the usage of my license. I have nothing more to add other then - Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. I wish nothing but the best for everyone no matter how harsh the reality. This review is for A.K. Ibrahim of Nest Seekers - Midtown Office. A.K. is a very efficient broker, from the onset he was all about getting the details on exactly what I was looking for. Instead of showing me around for multiple weeks and wasting my time, he found exactly the type of apartments I was looking for and showed me all of my options. After the third round of shows, we found exactly what I wanted in the location I wanted. A.K. was beyond helpful during the whole process. My fiancé and I were repeatedly lied to by NestSeekers, resulting in an unbelievably stressful moving process. It began with minor misrepresentations when we first viewed the apartment. For example, Abraham assured us electricity was included in the rent (it's not). I inquired about the co-op rules and if there were any restrictions on move in date or time. He claimed there were none, until we got the lease and realized moving is only permitted Mon-Fri from 10-4pm, meaning we would need to take time off work. Things that appeared minor at the time - if only we knew that they foreshadowed such a disaster ahead! We moved forward with signing the lease, at which point the demanded $13,000 in certified checks. We tried to negotiate submitting just the deposit until we confirmed board approval, but NestSeekers insisted on first month, last month, security, broker fee, and co-op application fees at signing. Fine - rushed to get all the paperwork, signed lease, and certified checks to NestSeekers by Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday we get a call that the owner would like to add a "rider" to the lease. Despite agreeing to a two year lease, she would like to add a clause saying she could break the lease at any time, without any reason and remove us from the apartment. What?? We refused and the owner backed down, but we lost a day submitting our application. Thursday we get a call from Lara - SHE LOST OUR CERTIFIED CHECKS. All $13,000 mysteriously went missing. Lara tried to convince us that we could simply cancel them and have the checks reissued...how does a broker not understand how certified checks work?? Talked to Bank of America and there is no way to cancel the checks - our money was locked for 90 days. After hours of stress and panic, Lara called to let us know she found our checks in her purse at home. WHY DID OUR CHECKS EVER LEAVE THE OFFICE?? Horrifying. Our application to the co-op board was finally submitted on Friday, before the 2 week window NestSeekers REPEATEDLY assured us was required for approval. Our lease in Boston ends May 31st and we need to move by June 1st at the absolute latest - something we were told from the beginning of the process would not be a problem. Monday comes and we receive a forwarded email from Lara - "Co-op rules were unclear, you may not be able to move until June 15. Hope this is ok..." ARE YOU SERIOUS? Of course it's not ok! How can you list an apartment in a co-op building and make repeated promises to potential tenants without understanding the rules?? It's beyond incompetent - NestSeekers are true frauds. We tried everything to get the board to expedite our approval, but ultimately had to move twice - once into a storage space and then again in mid-June once we FINALLY were approved apartment. All of this two weeks before our wedding. If you're looking for an apartment in NYC, stay far away from NestSeekers. read more

I had the worst experience with one of their brokers. I was treated like a disposable resource - this was about them making money. I was or should say they tried to manipulate me and get me to lower my price one week into contract. If you don't feel like reading, in summary, there are cheaper ways to get scammed in this city What an horrible, excruciating, and traumatic experience we had with Nestseekers. My wife and I planned a wedding and the sale of my house based around the assurances of the broker, Bruce. The broker, BM, promised "easy condo board approval"a complete lie as the tenants have told me the building is notorious for having a cantankerous group of board members that like to drag things out (perhaps a lack of hobbies ) We submitted all paperwork by July, 15th. The Broker lied to us repeatedly "I personally guarantee that you will be in by August 15th". The board just needs one more payment. Nestseekers is a company that should be avoided. Pick a trustworthy broker as they have yet to return my commission for an apartment they never delivered. Caution as you may to lose your money on brokerage and not receive the apartment . The board has never denied us and my credit is perfect. So the broker it seems along with nest seekers has decided that they will keep our brokerage commissions and will not return text messages, emails, or calls. Regardless of how much you like the apartment, make sure you get a co-broker that can be a go between because they will take your money and you may not get an apartment read more

Now don't get me wrong, there are great agents that somehow still work for Nestseekers but this company is all about the money. My experience with Nest Seekers, in particular with one of their real estate agents: Shu-Fen Striedter was an absolute outrage and nightmare. As a real estate agent, she is bound to represent her clients ethically and fairly. We saw none of the qualities she describes on her profile. From experience, she is NOT "extremely organized, efficient or detail oriented" as she claims on her profile. On the contrary, she mis-represented our offer price to the sales team, as evidenced through e-mail chains. When she approached our family with her revised number, we obviously declined and questioned her intentions. Shu-Fen could not provide us with a sufficient reason why she mis-represented our offer. On top of the already present lunacy, she the continued to berate my family, in particular my younger sister (who, by the way, is in her 20s) calling her a "spoiled brat" and to "see a therapist" when we approached her about the conversation she had with the buildings sales team. All of this verbiage is referenced in numerous unprofessional e-mail chains, which can be forwarded, screenshot or printed for evidence. Additionally, the knowledge Shu-Fen claims to have is clearly not represented in her work with our family. Yet again, in another e-mail she threatened to disbar our family, due to "illegal" rebates. Shu-Fen, let me educate you on your profession, rebates are COMLETELY legal and part of almost all real estate transactions. I would also encourage you to "seek out a therapist", as informing foreign buyers that you received your MBA from Wharton is a clear ethical violation, as your internet profile clearly states you went to Baruch. A 40yr professional should never degrade any conversation to the level spoken to my family; especially to my sister who is a woman 20 years her junior. It is a pathetic show of class and professionalism. I will never recommend this woman to work with any family. In particular, any foreign families as she will, without a doubt, take advantage of their language skills and use the family's lack of real estate knowledge to her advantage. read more

We were initially looking to rent, and contacted NestSeekers and several other agencies that had listing we were interested in. Ande Sedwick from NestSeekers was the first to respond. This is how we met Ande. Ande was the most responsive, attentive broker we have ever worked with. Ande got us into all the apartments we wanted to see, and several we didn't even know about. She is very knowledgable about the real estate market in downtown Manhattan She worked around our difficult work schedules. She was tenacious and kept looking for our next home until we finally found the right apartment. In the end, we bought an apartment. Ande had connections with mortgage brokers, and helped us with all the paperwork and board approvals we needed to close. We really enjoyed working with Ande and enjoyed the time we spent together. Scott Schaare is the lease truthful agent I've come across. I reached out about a listing with a price that seemed too good to be true. After he confirmed that was the actual price, we set up a time to meet to see the place; however, hours before we planned to meet he sent a generic email (that was clearly a copy/paste he's done a lot) about how that apartment was gone. It said he would show me other apartments if interested but when I asked for him to send the info for those listings I got no response. After a follow up I STILL got no response. He clearly was just using a fake listing with a low price to bait people into seeing his other listings. One of his generic emails said that he doesn't want to be shady like some agents in NYC, but he's the exact type of person you want to avoid when looking for apartments in the city. The rest of this company could be fine, but avoid Scott Schaare if you want actual help finding an apartment. read more
