I have an old stone farmhouse with 2 fireplaces, a wood stove and an oil furnace flue. The tech that cam to do the inspection and cleaning was efficient, informative, professional and explained in detail what he was doing and why at each step. I truly appreciate when a contractor does that. I got estimates for restoration of the two fireplaces and oil boiler flue (which are unlined and unusable) and repair of the wood stove (which was back-drafting and had not been installed to code). I arranged to have Antrim's do the replacement/repair of the wood stove pipe, chimney and roof penetration materials after having a few discussions with Nate, the owner, on strategies and approach. The work was done by Nate and the tech that did the cleaning and inspection. I DO NOT LIKE HIRING CONTRACTORS.. I typically have to repair work done by "professionals" after they leave. In this case, the Wood stove work was, again, done efficiently and professionally and Nate kept me well informed on the details throughout the process, as requested. I appreciated the collaboration and felt I was informed enough to understand what was going on, while letting them get on with their good work. The result was a satisfied customer (me), a professional job done correctly and as agreed on budget. We can't wait for the weather to cool off enough to use our wood stove again and reap the benefits of Antrim's good work!

When we first met I was expecting a sales pitch full of inflated prices. Instead what I received was superior, way above average treatment. We had a big job for Josh and he completed the entire job without any issues. Never late, never any problems that required us to pay more than we were quoted. Josh had a professional and extensive contract for us to sign, he took digital photos of the work in progress and he explained everything to us so that we understood what he was doing and why. He used quality materials instead of cheap subpar items, and he always offered us options. Instead of rushing through the job, Josh took his time and included added details such as repointing the chimney. It became obvious he was a perfectionist and he took pride in a job he attached his name to. Furthermore, Josh found a serious issue from the last chimney job we had done with another company and after we contacted them and got some of our money back we had him fix that for us as well. Josh is actually passionate about fixing chimneys, if you can believe that, and it shows. When we had a chimney fire (no fault of his) he came flying over to our home the same night, and then returned the next day to do a complete and thorough check. Josh is professional, responsible and excellent at what he does. Not once did I feel like he was trying to sell me on something or take on more than he could handle. He pays attention to details and would never rush a job just to get it done. I highly recommend his services and will continue to use him for any and all of our chimney needs.
