We called Black Stone and they came right out. Turns out that we had a full blown birds nest that was as wide as the chimney and two feet deep. Had our daughter not woken up early and woke us up to let us know something was wrong as the house smelled like smoke and the furnace was making a strange noise, the results could have been devestating. He rapped on the stucco to see where it was sound and where it was loose. He took his time examining it. He even went on our roof to inspect the chimneys from the top, returning with photos of areas of issue, and described the work he recommended to be done. His proposal listed many more items he would repair -- as compared to what other contractors had listed in their quotes -- yet his price was in the range of the other contractors. Spoke to him 3 times about top chimney damper. Each time I could not get him off the phone. Talked in circles about 1 useless topic after the other. Had to follow up 2 times after initial call and still he can't help himself by talking endlessly and actually do no scheduling, no committing to his work, nothing.
