Food available vis food truck in the back patio and the 2 tacos we ordered were delicious! Sorry no pics we were hungry!

Good for what it is, which is a sweet little dive bar right on the railroad tracks. No frills, just plain bar with neighborhood feel and a Great taco truck in the back "outdoor" area. Nice first stop for a bar crawl in this area.

I used to love this place but I think it has gone downhill. The outdoor patio is so cute and I love the vibe of the place, but the service and food are terrible. I went during the day for a friend's bachelorette party (we are all locals, no one was acting drunk or crazy, we were just dressed in sparkles). There were about 10 other people in the place, but the server wouldn't even make eye contact with us. She was so engrossed in conversation with the other guests at the bar, we ended up waiting 10+ minutes to order a drink (this is pretty common here). We also got the nachos, which was a mistake. I think they'd been sitting in the back since the day before they were so soggy. Wish we had gone to Bastion instead.

This cocktail bar is right up my alley, laid back, great music, and that perfect mix of a dirty/cozy aesthetic. This was the first stop on a cocktail crawl that my wife and I decided to do for our date night. I'm a huge fan of "nice" dive bars and Never Never fits that mold perfectly. There is both indoor and an outdoor seating patio and a small food menu with chili and chili nachos, vegan or meat, and on random Sundays there are brunch pop-ups. We went with cocktails during our trip here and I ordered the Georgia James. This cocktail is made with gin, watermelon, lime, Tabasco, and simple syrup. What a funky combo, but it worked! I especially loved the Tabasco punch at the end of each sip. My wife ordered the Cosmonaut and loved it, but it was not my fave. I'm not a huge fan of Prosecco. Besides craft cocktails, Never Never also has a deep menu of local beers, wine, and boozy seltzers. Once the weather warms up, and it stays warm, I definitely wanna make a repeat visit here and enjoy that patio and a nice cold beer. Parking is very tough here so I would recommend taking an Uber or Lyft. I mean, you'll be drinking anyway so it's the responsible thing to do! Houston Street has about five or six cocktail bars literally right next-door to each other and Never Never is a great place to start!

    Looking at Never Never.

R and I walked to Never Never from our hotel just on the other side of the train tracks. The website said that there is live entertainment every night, but, unfortunately, that was not true on the night we were there, and no one had updated the website. While we were there, there were only 7 customers, not counting us, in the bar. The bartender welcomed us when we walked up to the bar. He told us the list of beers that they have and we ordered a couple of Blue Moons, drinking them at the bar, talking and listening to the music playing through the speakers. The bartender was attentive the entire time we were there, seeing if we needed another beer periodically. The inside of Never Never doesn't have many seats. There are more tables and chairs on the two decks that I saw outside, one in the front of the entrance, and the other one out the back of the bar. It was too cold to be outside that night, so I didn't even go outside in the back to look. After finishing off our beers, we left. I noticed that there was a (mostly) fenced free parking lot for Never Never's customers. Nice laid back bar.

Visited Apr 15, 2023. Awesome place! I recently came to this establishment for a food pop-up. They are located on a corner slot right off the intersection. It's placed on a one way street so you'll have to park before reaching the destination. If I'm not mistaken, there are 3 parallel parking spots available in front, a near by parking lot for a fee, & street parking down the block. Please be advised, read the signs and double check how to pay- I saw a meter maid give someone a parking violation just outside the building. First impression, looking at it from 4th Ave S, you either love it or think it's sketchy. The exterior appearance from Houston St, you're faced with stairs leading up to a patio deck that includes exterior seating with string lights above and the entrance at the center-right. You walk in here and to your right is a hall for the restrooms (it's dark, not so obvious, this is good because it doesn't take away from the bar's ambiance). Then the bar is kinda to the left with seating around the bar top, more enclosed outdoor seating straight ahead and tucked in behind the right wall is a kitchen. Aside from the bar top there are some tables and booth. Personally, I love everything about this place! It's all I imagine a bar to be like. Honestly would not be surprised to hear if this place made an appearance in a tv series. It's a total vibe of classy, southern, eclectic, rough, & a tad spooky because of the shelf pieces. There's just a lot of trending styles going but it works! I am glad I came during the day for it made me admire how beautiful and thoughtful things were, where I would have missed at night. The indoor space is small enough for me to call it cozy if it was filled and big enough for me not to feel cluster phobic. The customer service was also great. Very polite and visually saw a personal effort to welcome everyone walking in. Last note, I appreciated their clean bathrooms and fun wall paper. One was for women and the other was for both genders.

I am a big fan of the WeHo area for a night out in Nash. And this is a great speakeasy/cocktail bar in the city. Of course, like most bars in the city, parking is tough. There's a small lot that fills up fast, and street parking that always seems full. The parking is worth it. The areas in this neighborhood are just cool. Filled with cool spots, Never Never is definitely one of them. They offer craft cocktails, and their patio is just the vibey spot to sit and drink at. It's casual but upscale. Hard to explain, you just have to check it out yourself!

Funky bar with a great vibe. The drinks and tacos from the resident taco truck were great!

    Great vibes outside!

Super cool, but laid back spot to grab a few drinks. We stopped in on a Sunday midday before seeing a soccer game and there was a great crowd. Plenty of seating inside and outside, and standing room. We chose beers, but there was a mimosa special and plenty of bloody Mary's in sight.

This was a cool spot to check out for cocktails with an industrial vibe. They have a big outdoor area. I ordered the Prosecco punch and my husband got the Jonesy. Both were good! Would return here.

I almost don't wanna review this bar... I don't want everyone to know about it! It looks very unassuming from the outside, but Never Never is my favorite local bar in Wedgewood Houston. It is trendy on the inside with a cute outdoor patio that's perfect for a sunny spring day! And the drinks are perfect

This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. Fifteen trips to Nashville (together) and it's still one of our first stops. That's probably the strongest review I can give. Five stars.
