We were with a group of people and decided to visit Jelly Roll's Goodnight to celebrate a birthday. There were alot of people, but luckily it wasn't shoulder to shoulder. The band was really good. They played an Evanescence song, and the singer could definitely hit the high notes. Most of the songs were classic rock, 80s, 90s or fan favorites which is what we were looking for. You can request songs as long as you provide a tip. They have a QR code if you don't have cash. I was impressed that they were able to play all the songs that were requested. A great bar with a lot of room to move about the building. Prices are a bit high for basic beers though. Came here with a large group. We made it in pretty quick and got drinks to go stand somewhere near the stage. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Great venue. Reasonably priced drinks. Excellent rooftop view. The live performance that I saw was solid. They even played "Save Me" which was more than fitting. We had an employee who wasn't server, take our drink order as nobody in our section ever showed up. She gave us great service and definitely made us feel welcomed. A couple of cons was that the tax on the drinks was pretty outrageous. Almost $8 in tax for a $32 drink order was definitely shocking coming. If it was a service charge or live performance charge which was already added into the bill, it would've been less surprising. Not sure if taxes are weighed that heavily with alcohol in Tennessee but if it is, it'd be nice to know in advance for tourists. Overall, it was a decent time. 4/5 read more

Wow - just wow. My aunt is a massive Jelly Roll fan and wanted to come here after my cousin and I ran the Nashville Marathon to celebrate. My biggest issue was the staff and the service. Both were horrible. After sitting, it took forever to get our drinks and food took forever to come out. My mom ordered a beet salad which they made with no beets, all the food was cold, staff couldn't tell if anything was gluten free once we got everything and we never got checked on after getting our food. We were supposed to get a discount for having run which the waitress "forgot" about which one applied, saved us over $80. The atmosphere was decent, and the music was good, but nothing really stood out compared to the many other bars in the area. The drinks were probably the biggest disappointment. I ordered the frozen espresso martini, and it wasn't very enjoyable. Considering the price and the reputation of Nashville's bar scene, I expected something better. The bar was also very crowded, and there was quite a bit of waiting involved. Like many Nashville bars, there are several flights of stairs to navigate, which may be worth keeping in mind. Reservations were easy using the OpenTable app, and while finding the restaurant was a bit tricky, that's part of the fun of a true backroom spot. The doorman pointed us in the right direction and we were on our way. We were immediately greeted by Dustin, who was our host, bartender, and server--and he absolutely nailed it. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We shared the Sweet Potato Poutine to start. The cheese could've been a little more melted, but it was still very good. I ordered the Predator'Za and it was pure cheesy goodness--loaded with meat and flavor. I couldn't even finish the 10-inch pizza. My wife had the Fish and Chips and shared a bite with me; the fish was perfectly flaky with no fishy taste at all. The vibe really stood out. The space was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, especially with a rocking honky-tonk just downstairs. It felt like a calm escape right in the middle of Broadway. Very unhappy with our experience at Jelly Rolls in Nashville. We're here for a girls' weekend, and one member of our group -- a 60-year-old woman -- was refused entry without any explanation. When the rest of us arrived to understand what was going on, the bouncer actually asked if she "has mental disorders." We were stunned. It was insulting, humiliating, and completely uncalled for. No guest, especially someone of her age and dignity, should ever be spoken to in that way. Our entire group felt uncomfortable and disrespected, and we chose to leave immediately. This was my first visit to Jelly Roll's Good Night Nashville. Sadly, I highly doubt I'll be back. In the service industry, customer service should be a business's number one priority. I walked into GNN on a Sunday at 5:45p. The bar had quite a few patrons, yes, but not enough to warrant a near 25 minute wait sitting front & center AT THE BAR between 2 registers! My husband and I both had to raise our hands and physically try to get the attention of 3 different bar tenders! The last try was successful enough to have Devin acknowledge us and take our order... at least the drink order. In giving her the drink order, her reception made it seem as if we were bothering her by actually asking her to wait on us! She cut me off and walked away before I could even finish giving her our entire order. I had to get her attention a second time in order to give her our food order. It took nearly 25 mins to even be acknowledged, but took about 25 seconds to be handed our bill & asked 'are you gonna want anything else or should I just close out the check --- basically... I'm done waiting on you! The drinks were very well mixed and the Peppy Roll was delicious! The band was exceptionally loud but did have a great set of songs and a great number of followers in the crowd! They sounded well rehearsed and were very interactive with audience. The burger was a wagyu smash burger that had great flavor, and the chicken tenders were some of the best I've ever had! They were super crispy but had lots of good meat into them.
