What a great spot to hear an awesome band! It's loud, it's crowded, but you can snag a seat. It'll be a little claustrophobic, but I'm very excited to see what it's like once the renovation is complete! Service was great and the drinks were cold!

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! The only place on Broadway you can find beer for $2.50 and get the "Recession" meal of fried bologna sandwich, chips, a moon pie, and PBR. I loved how this place offers affordable food and drink plus you can watch them make the food behind the bar. The bartenders and cooks worked fast. The live music was more classic western country which was fun!

Glad we got here early because the seating is limited and the place filled up quickly. Came for the fried bologna sandwich and it did not disappoint. Haven't had bologna since I was a kid but this sandwich was way better than anything I could remember back then. Juicy and crisp and cheap! Can't ask for much more.

Did research on my visit to Nashville and Robert's came up often, mainly for their recession special so marked this spot down as the pregame spot when hitting up Broadway. When you enter, it's just like majority of the bars in Broadway, live music and lively crowd. I came here to get something quick to eat and drink to start the night and the recession special fit the bill. Recession special consists of a fried bologna sandwich on toasted bread with a bag of chips and a can of PBR for just $6. It's a bologna sandwich so don't expect something out of this world but with live music and lively vibes, it's a perfect way to get the night started. Highly recommend stopping by and if you're on a budget, def worth trying out the recession special.

Cheeseburger (side of chips)

I was in the mood for a burger after learning about Nashville's "music" history & mi amiga knew of a good spot with a deal! So... Robert's Western World hit the spot serving the "Recession Special" of a fried bologna sandwich with a side of chips, whoopie pie, & Pabst beer & Cheeseburger topped with your regular lettuce, tomato, & handful of onions with the choosing of a side of chips or fries. Karen, the bartender/server, was very efficient & nice. We found a spot to sit & eat on the 1st floor luckily while listening to the honky tonk band play on this "drizzly" late afternoon.

YES! Grab a Pabst, fried bologna sandwich mixed with some straight up Honky Tonk music and you have a recipe for an amazing time! Get a spot early if you're planning to catch Kelly's Hero's because the bar will fill up fast!

Locals took us to this place. We were pleasantly surprised with their $2.75 specials for beer. The band was good and I guess their bologna sandwiches must be the talk of the town with the $6 specials.

Sammy!! Soo nice!!!

Went here with my daughter & her friend last night. Ordered a hamburger & chicken fingers with fries & it was delish! Great happy atmosphere! But the bartender, a girl named Sammy was the star!! She was amazing! My daughter & her friend made a new friend here in Nashville!!

Robert's Western World is the most original honky tonk bar on Broadway St. that only plays traditional country music. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service is friendly. Everything is old school from the music to the prices. There are very few places today where you can watch live music and have a $6 meal. The Recession Special is a fried bologna sandwich with chips, a moon pie, and PBR. The french fry basket is only $8 and comes hot and crispy in a basket large enough to share with 2-3 people. This is a must visit for a real honky tonk experience.

Love this place! Old school country on the stage, PBR as a beer option. And the server are friendly and provide great service. The ambiance of the place is Honky Tonk for sure. It's a great spot to listen to folks who know how to play soulful country music. We stopped in on November 6, 2025 and it was a great time.

The only reason me and my husband go here is for the cute little waitress Kimberly. Nothing beats a recession special and a red headed angel who makes sure we always have a drink when we need it

Recession Special (fried bologna sandwich, chips, moon pie, and PBR), all for $6.00. Loved it.

This was probably my favorite honky tonk of all the bars I visited along Broadway (and no, I didn't go into all of them). It's small and doesn't have a DJ or 73,000 people crammed onto the rooftop bar. In fact, it doesn't even have a rooftop bar, or even an accessible rooftop. It does have a smallish second floor. The live band was great during our visit. There were no seats available downstairs so we planted ourselves upstairs and enjoyed the music, the drinks, and the food. Of course, we had to get the "Recession Special" (fried bologna sandwich, chips, moon pie, and a PBR, all for $6). Honestly, I could have easily devoured two complete specials but I am currently watching my girlish figure. The sandwich was good and much better than you might think. The drinks are strong here and the prices are reasonable. It's small, intimate, has great live music, strong drinks, and good bologna. I know it's not the hippest of joints but if you want an enjoyable place to enjoy very good live country music, make sure you come here.

Ask the Community - Robert's Western World

Can a person get pop with recession special as I don't drink?

Yes but don't ask for a discount. It's $6 you can't go to subway for that.

What and when is the cover charge for bars on broadway?

Well, not sure that I am the best person to answer this, but I'll share my recent experience (last week!). My friends and I spent 4 days in Nashville, and along Broadway, we did not have to pay cover charge at any of the bars we went to. Rather, the…

Can someone give me a parking lot recommendation to come here?

How late is food served?

As long as they're opened!!! All day long!!!

Can you bring a 14-year old after 6PM?

I have no idea. You may want to call the place. I didn't see any kids in there while we were there.

What are the protocols to combat covid? Masks required? Proof of vaccination?

There is no Covid in Nashville

What is the age requirement?? 18? Or 21?

All ages until 6pm, 21+ after. We like and encourage youngsters to come in with an adult. It's never to early to learn about traditional country music.

Are kids welcome?

Yes certainly during the day.

What time does live music start at night?

11AM until close

Is there any people up slow dancing, when the music is playing?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out! Occasionally, there are slower songs played where folks will get up and dance. However, it does really depend on the particular band that is playing on how often they play slower songs... I would say the…

Do u have draft beers?

They certainly do!

Add live jazz drifting through it and you have a night out that feels nothing like the usual Nashville scene. The service was the highlight. Our server Ian took great care of us from start to finish, warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever making us feel rushed. The whole team was dialed in, but Ian made us feel like regulars on our very first visit. The food more than kept up. My pork chop was enormous and cooked beautifully, and my wife's empanadas and salad were just as good. The cocktails were fine, not quite the star of the show, but with food and atmosphere this good I did not mind one bit.

How do you search for:…read more A funky good time where I can listen to Jazz, drink a few libations and have a good steak? Skull's Rainbow Room checks all the boxes. Nashville is a music town, throw a rock and you'll find a great spot at a bar playing music. Some of the bars have a stage where bands are jammin'! I'm looking for something different, something more contemporary, live jazz and a speakeasy feel. Skull's Rainbow Room delivered. Walking up to Printer's Alley, it's already giving off speakeasy vibes. I did my classic move, Get to the restaurant early and tell the waitress I'm so hungry and promise I won't be here all night. Man... I was set up with a great table and was told I have less than two hours. (I mean, I am Bill S from New York, I can be quite persuasive) My waiter comes over, we start talking about the east coast, how he misses New Jersey but loves his new home in Nashville. I order a martini and thick Prime Rib cut along with a side of truffle mashed potatoes. My drink comes out quickly and now I am in the jazz zone. These guys rocked it! Great music along with strong cocktails, I laugh and say to myself: I'm getting paid to be here! My steak comes to the table very quickly. Man this steak cut is a thing of beauty. The au jus with a bite of the truffle mashed potato, heaven. Now the piano player start playing The Love Theme from The Godfather?? Am I in heaven or.. are they trying to seduce me to the other side as I order another cocktail? Just a fantastic night, from the music to the food and libations at Skull's Rainbow Room. My waiter says, it's been two hours, would you like your drink brought to the bar? I declined as I paid my check. Skull's Rainbow Room is a must stop when in Nashville. You can check out any time you want.. but you can never leave!
