It has clearly been built with the up most detail to sound energy and recording . This room was built and designed better than most band halls I have seen. I have recorded in many different studios and this one is 2nd to none in my personal opinion. The Mic is incredible for vocals capturing every hair of a detail. However, even with all this, the engine behind the whole room and what it records is of course the engineer Bruse Faulconer. He has a very seasoned ear and can hear the adjustments that need to be made before you suggest them. If you are a professional recording artist you know how valuable this is and how much time this can save you. The biggest plus to me is that it's a family owned business and the feel is very much so. From the first time I called in and spoke to Lisa inquiring about a session I could tell it was a grade a company. The entire experience top to bottom was very impressive, not to over the top, very efficient, productive and most importantly the music we made there absolutely Rocked !!!! I would seriously recommend Cake Mix Recording to any artist/band looking for a quality recording with a emphases on detail. Would never recommend! Nick worked my son's wedding on Nov 1, 2025 and it was terrible. We gave him music recs as requested but told him to play anything that anyone requested. Then when guests requested songs he told the No - that he had to play off the list. Guests left because he was rude. We told him to help himself to a plate of food once everyone else ate - and he helped himself to multiple plates of dinner and desserts - taking himself away from his job as the DJ. We told him we wanted a fun upbeat interactive reception and he did not provide! He messed up the anniversary dance - had everyone confused, didnt announce the cake cutting or interact with the guests at all except to announce that if people didn't start dancing he was going to pack up and leave. It was awful! Then got attitude with the photographer when she went up and asked if he could play something upbeat or a Cupid shuffle to get people involved because she wasn't being paid to have nothing to photograph and he got attitude with her. Then at the end of the night requested a ride to his car so he could pack up his equipment then the brides dad had to help him pack up! OH! He also got attitude with my son (the groom) saying they were supposed to provide him a table for his equipment and my son had to remind him that he told them he provides all of his equipment and tables and he just said ' oh ya , that's on me then'. 20 years experience is a joke - my husband could have done a better job with his Apple Music list and a karaoke machine! He needs to refund their money, because he did not give them what they paid for!
