My now 11 year old daughter had been taking individual singing lessons with Gabe and group lessons over the last two years. Gabe has been an amazing fit with knowing when to push her and when not to - so grateful. She has transitioned to Linda and WOW - we are excited about what Linda is teaching her. 1 star primarily for dishonest privacy practices and a general unhelpful attitude to a former student. Would've been 3-4 stars for voice lessons alone. I took voice lessons for the very first time years ago at Septien for a couple months, and they uploaded a video of me singing without my consent (that clearly showed me and my name). I've contacted them MANY times over the years to try to remove the video. They've responded once and told me they lost the passport to the account. It's shameful to see how little attention was given to a previous student based on a valid ask to remove a video that I never asked for. The voice lessons themselves were nothing special, but I imagine you might get more out of Septien by being part of their broader career program. Since then, I took lessons for just a couple months at a different studio in a different city and saw huge results, because I was given more targeted, helpful feedback than I ever received at Septien (another reason why I'd love to remove that old video of me!). I know the Septien was a great (even career-launching) experience for others so YMMV. read more

It's a shame that the owner only cares about the kids that pay the most money and not who has the most talent. We we in the masters program and my son won their entire showcase last year and still hasn't received what was promised to him. We have called several times and nothing. This is a great place if your really interested in hard work and truest learning how to improve your Layla's a singer instrumentalist or get into the music business. I had a class with Linda personally and really enjoyed myself. This place has given Chloee a confidence I knew was there but never seen 100%! She begs to come here everyday! If I could get her here everyday I would. Septien isn't a dreaded practice place but a true artist development group where she can develop into the artist she wants to be! This music school is kind of a mess. I've gone through a few teachers at this school and most were terrible. Ben, however, is excellent if you are looking for piano lessons. During the year I've been here, their front office employees have turned over many times. Scheduling is often a problem. There were many times when I showed up to my scheduled lesson and I was turned away because I wasn't on the schedule. After the expiration of my contract, I had to cease attendance because it all became too annoying. This place also seems very gimmicky and encourages delusions among teenagers. They heavily use Jessica Simpson and Demi Lovato to market their music school, which is a great marketing tactic because many are falling for it. But really? I'm pretty sure Jessica Simpson and Demi Lovato didn't use them after they rose to fame; they merely happened to take a few lessons here and there before they became famous. read more

I'm a 32 year old musician, so not the typical young student here. I actually live in Los Angeles but learned about Linda Septien when reading the book "The Talent Code". I flew out to meet with her and was really impressed with the feedback she gave me. My vocal coach in LA is no other than Seth Riggs, so in terms of core vocal skills I had a solid foundation. Yet I found Linda's feedback much more holistic, as she was able to give me specific input regarding my positioning as an artist, branding, marketing, and even some edgy vocal techniques of spirited rock vocals as I told her I wanted to develop. I'm glad I met Linda and look forward to working with her in the future. p.s. I had written a 5-star reveiw on 3/24/15. Check it out about our experience with their summer camp program when my son was 12. Septien has continued to nurture our son's talent and aspirations. He's now 15. Linda and the teachers my son has worked with at Septien are the real deal. American Idol XV and my son just announced that he made it through to Hollywood. She's 17 now and has worked with several coaches developing a diversity of skills-voice , instrumental, songwriting,stage presence...I've trained for instrumental-piano and ukulele.The quality of the people working at SEG(from administration to the coaches) is top notch. They have the education, expertise & experience behind their services that I would equate to taking a college course by a professional maybe even better. The cost is high but if you want the best you must invest. Though, what is priceless is the way they care for their clients. The mentoring is genuine and loving. I always look forward to walking through their doors to lose myself in the world of music. Overall & most significantly , the coaches have been the best influence in my teenagers life. Outlook: Coming from NY I have seen a number of businesses that say they offer 'Artist Development'. Unfortunately, not enough people actually understand what that means. If you want to ahve any sort of opportunity at a career in music, you need to work on more then just your voice and your look. You need to develop YOUR IDENTITY. Septien is where you want to do that if you are in the Dallas area! I never would've thought Dallas had such a potential in the music industry. Everyone thinks it is all about NY, LA, Nashville.... well those are for when you already made it... if you want to have the door to opportunity opened to you, Linda Septien will be there to walk you through it. Just like she did with Jessica Simpson after she was denied the Mickey Mouse Club, just like she did with Demi Lovato, who she still coaches on her tours. This place is full of variety and allows students to express who they want to become and learn from all of the other 'artists' they are around. They won't just tell you you are amazing and take your money. They will be blunt at times when you need work... and thats OK.. after all this is the music industry. Cons: They have something like 250 students I think?? It would be great of they could hire a few more coaches... and if the studio had a couple more producers to that would be great. Whether you are a parent wanting to see if the potential is their for your child, a wife who wants to have a pitch perfect sound on her wedding day or an artist being scouted by record labels, you want to at least take a lesson or two at Septien and find out what it is they have to offer for yourself. We love the Septien Group!!! We live 10 hours from this place and would consider moving to Dallas so my daughter can take lessons with them. They have amazing teachers, they are so professional in every aspect and my daughter loves them! She has learned so much and loves Linda, Remi, Zakk, Shannon, Carlo and the rest of awesome teachers. I signed up for a one year Skype voice lesson contract. My daughter's instructor is constantly forgetting to call on the date and time he is supposed to. I've had to reschedule numerous times because she was waiting and he just never showed up! I received a new debit card through the mail, called and gave them the number, and they call 16 days later asking me if there has been a change because my card won't go through. Yes, I notified you of that change 16 days ago! It's terrible and I wish I had never signed up. Rest assured, I won't be signing her up again. It seems to me as long as they get paid, nothing else matters! read more
