Heard about this place and we were going to be in the neighborhood so we decided to try. First off parking is wherever. We parked on a side street and walked. Sat at the bar. There are tables but we opted for the bar seats. Cute place. Good decor. Lights and pictures and posters and Knick knacks around. Bartender was nice. As usual we asked a handful of questions since it's our first time here. It's is a Thursday so wing night. I got 7 wings for $13 (I think) got buffalo. They don't have a ton of sauces to choose from. I also got the waffles fries. They are homemade so that's sounds good. Fries came first. And as usual I got all the small end of the bag left overs. Not the big waffle fries. I am not sure why this always happens to me but it does. Fries are seasoned with something not sure what. They kinda got a kick. It's not bad. Just know. The wings came. The drums are huge. Flats smaller. They are decent. Not the best. Could have been crispier. Could have been saucier too. I do have to say the homemade blue cheese is really good! Kathy got the burger. She said it was good. She enjoyed it. Bun was soft, veggies good and burger well seasoned. They had a blackberry cider that Kathy got. And I got the strawberry seltzer. The seltzer was just OK. Not as much of a fan as I thought I'd be. Not enough strawberry. Too much seltzer. Overall OK experience. Prices kinda average. Happy hour is long and decent. Specials are good. I'd go back.

This hole in the wall has some very unique items on the menu, including octopus!! I learned from the server that their menu rotates throughout the season, which makes it fun for the customer! I tried their Dive Guy Burger and it was delicious! Very fresh! I also tried their octopus, as it stays on the menu every season. If an item stays on the menu every season, it has to be good, right? Octopus was good, but there wasn't much to the dish aside from the fingerling potatoes. I'm glad I tried it! I can't wait to see what fall items land on their menu.

Putting caviar on a hot dog is genius! This place was awesome. We got the tots to split and I had the dive dog. Others also got the pork rinds and shrimp cocktails. The drinks were also interesting and tasty. Ambiance is very cool and feels comfortable and homey. Would definitely come back!

Went there with my husband last night and we love it. The concept is so smart and so nostalgic for a millennials. Drinks and food and great. More importantly their host was really nice. Very welcoming and offered us to order a drink while we wait in line for a table. All and all great experience and highly recommend!

It's everything you want in a dive bar! Amazing decor, great people, and good stuff to drink! Highly recommend visiting this legendary place!

We went on Tuesday where they feature a bucket of fried chicken for $22 - two thighs and two legs (only half pictured - too hungry!) Breading was sweet with hint of spice and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Glassed of Cava are also on special - $8/one or a bottle for $25. Paired well! Always great service there and the cocktails are delicious too!

We will definitely be back! If you want to sit in the dining area you will definitely want to make a reservation. There is a bar area and patio as well. Happy hour specials were fantastic as well as the food and drinks. The house made hard seltzers were delicious.

Came here with a group of folks, after our Run Club event. We sat on the outside tables on this warm evening. What a fun and unique spot, with a really solid menu of upscale food items you would not expect at a dive-style bar. My wife and I ordered several dished to share and enjoyed them all...a 3-item snack board (pickled eggs, chips with caramelized onion dip, fried & spiced almonds), a mushroom toast and of course a Dive Guys burger. This was plenty of food for two people to share and gave us a great cross-section of their menu options. Many more unique food items to try, anxious to get back and explore that menu further!

On a random week day my friend and myself decided to try out Never Say Dive for drinks. The place is like a second cousin to LBM (which I love). The owner use to work at LBM, so I expected some similarities. Ambiance: When you enter you immediately feel the neighborhood bar, Cheers vibes. I would definitely frequent the place if I lived around the corner. My friend and I opted to sit on the patio due to it being a beautiful night. Food: I decided to try some food as well and the burger was amazing! They changed their menu throughout the year and have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Drinks: Two words....CRAFT COCKTAILS.....let your favorite spirit guide your choice. Tip: Great place for a quiet summer night.

Stopped in around 7p on a Wednesday. Busy but we got a table. I enjoyed the "fancy enough" vibes--dark, kitschy, retro atmosphere with excellent crafted cocktails and seasonal menu. Service was attentive and helpful. Chatted a bit about the place and menu because it was our first time. Drinks were awesome and food was incredible. Also got to play a few rounds of trivia that was hosted by a mother/daughter combo and they were a delight. I look forward to going back!

Ok walking in, it's this tiny bar that is packed, exactly one seat open. But the bartender greets us with a smile and a nod, "I see ya." As bouncing from one end to the other, mixing drinks and attempting to keep everyone going and engaging with the customers. Walk in to see if there is anyone near the restaurant side (or if there IS tables on the other side), and all I see is the kitchen the actual dining area is stashed into a cramped, loud place. I cannot even SEE it, only the half hidden kitchen with the inner workings of amazing food! Host or someone finally comes out to see, asks if we have reservations. lol they have all tables marked as if they are, in fact, reserved... getting a theme going here, we get seated. Then the waitress comes over after a few minutes of chatting at the bar and simply seems... I'm still not sure if she's just overwhelmed and shut down at this point, but yeah. Order drinks, the seasonal boozy coffee (100% recommend fyi!) for a frozen evening! It's the first Friday of Lent, so I of course get the fish fry. And he orders the Dive Guys Burger. Food comes, and I made the mistake of letting him have two of the potatoes of my potato "salad" as she described it... I think the foodgasm just took over with that first potato. I am MELTING at this point, it hit just right and was SOOOO good! A bite of the burger, melt in your mouth smashburger-style YUM! I am currently drooling just remembering it! (Hey, any way I can order that burger and those potatoes next time?!?) anyhow... fast forward to the fish, it's not seasoned, which completely caught me off guard, it's simply an unseasoned (but PERFECTLY fried) giant chunk of cod in a perfectly cooked and perfect texture but unseasoned batter. But the homemade tartar sauce completely made that fact ok for me! Overall, the food itself was pretty freaking amazing! Someone DEFINITELY knows what they are doing hiding behind a wall of dishes and gidgets and gazmos!

Never Say Dive is such a cute bar with cheap beer, fancy cocktails and a variety of food options. The decor is unique and the bartenders are very friendly. A fantastic new addition to Old Brooklyn! Definitely check this place out.

This is a lively, fun neighborhood gem with thoughtfully prepared food and cocktails with tons of flavors. If I recall everything correctly former LBM employees are at the helm, and the quality of the fare reflects that. Service was attentive and very friendly. Given this is the first review, hopefully I haven't ruined the experience for their regulars (was packed at 6pm)! :-) Ultimate hip bar and restaurant, neighborhood gem!

When we walked in, we stood by the door for 10 mins waiting for someone to talk to us. A young girl working walked by MANY times and even made eye contact but if we went to say something - she would turn the other way. Even the bartender was staring at us but didn't say a word. Eventually we had to follow her to ask her if we sets ourselves or if we must wait... she responded "yeah sit wherever that's how this place works" (are bad we had never been here before...) Once we found a table in the back we figured someone would come hand us menus, the same worker even walked by to hand another table their check and nothing! After 15 mins waiting we left. I certainly hope no one else gets treated like this here, but I am so sad... I wanted to love this place, it was so cute!

Not only do they have a great market and deli, with wonderful options and excellent selection. But the restaurant, which is placed right in the heart of it all, is pretty wonderful as well The service we received last night, from the hostess to our server Mario, was right on point. They were pleasant, friendly, and efficient. The menu has lots of options to satisfy everyone's appetite. I personally love the vast selection of boards. The meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, berries, etc , etc., are high quality and good sized servings. And they always come with an excellent wine pairing. I thoroughly enjoyed the "Cheesed to Meat You" board paired with an excellent Amarone. Followed by a wonderful "Pot de Creme" and coffee. It is without a doubt that this restaurant is very well done, with a clean/refined/comfortable atmosphere. Catering to all points of the day, it can accommodate ladies brunch to an anniversary dinner without having to change a thing. The service is also INCREDIBLE. The kindest people you could want taking care of you, they do not hover and yet know exactly when to pop in to make sure food and drink are flowing. And let's talk about this food and drink. Now I completely believe some things may be down to preference and tastes (the menu does have some twists as the complexity of each dish is admirable) but I can highly recommend whatever you land on as they do craft exceptional seasonal dishes.
