Vanilla custard banana split.
Precious B.

My husband talked about Andy's so much and we finally got our banana split last night! The vanilla custard was perfect and isn't overwhelmingly sweet. I can't wait to try their other menu items next time we are in Bolingbrook again.

Yummy! I love frozen custard. This is one of the best things the Midwest has introduced me too. I happened upon this Andy's by happenstance, so if you're not from Bolingbrook or one of the nearby suburbs it's probably pretty easily missed. As it's summer, and its peach season, one of their specials was a peach concrete or peach sundae. I will admit that the peach concrete was pretty good, but I'm glad I stuck with my standard strawberry banana concrete. One thing that's somewhat disappointing is that even in the era of COVID, they haven't made any changes to their ordering scheme. They're "old fashioned", so even at the drive-up you have to order directly from the window--no speakers to order from here. It gets insanely busy here; luckily I was there when there was only one or two other cars there, but by the time I was heading out there was a like of 5-7 out the parking lot. They're open late, though--until midnight--so if you get a craving you just can't shake, Andy's is there to satisfy it. #575 - October 14, 2021

Andy's sign off of Weber Rd. This place is a summertime treat and attracts quite the crowd during PM hours!

ANY GIVEN SUNDAE Nothing says summer quite like Andy's Frozen Custard. Last year was the first time I got to experience Andy's, and now we've got two--2!--in Bolingbrook to choose from. There's a location on Boughton & Rt 53, plus this one on Weber just north of Lily Cache Ln. During warmer weather (June-Sept), this place gets absolutely buzzin' between the hours of 6-9pm, even moreso on weekends and holidays. The drive thru line can stretch more than a dozen cars long, but their system runs smooth like caramel. Just like at Portillo's, an order taker with a tablet comes over to your car--hopefully you've peeped the menu ahead of time or have committed your "go-to" to memory--and you simply drive to the pickup window having already paid. Don't panic if you can't make up your mind, they'll circle back to you....but don't dawdle. My wife's favorite is the key lime cheesecake concrete ($6), a seasonal treat that's only available during the summer months. Then there's the Rico Suave jackhammer ($7 for a medium): vanilla custard blended with pecans & Oreo bits, filled with a hot fudge core. I'm still amazed when someone can finish a sugar bomb like this in a single sitting. They've got a ton of toppings to pick from: 'fruity' (bananas, pineapple, cherries), 'crunchy' (pretzel pieces, heath bar, M&Ms), 'chewy' (cookie dough, crushed nuts), and 'drizzly' (mint syrup, butterscotch). First topping is always included, additional stuff is 85¢ extra. Some of the presets (like the 'AJ almondinger') might not be your cup of tea, so customizing can be a wise choice. It's not crazy expensive. Prices are comparable to Culver's concrete mixers and Dairy Queen blizzards, usually $5-8 depending on size. Last time we were here, they gave us a coupon for a free sundae with any $10 purchase. I signed up for Andy's rewards program; we'll no doubt become frequent flyers once our little guy is old enough for desserts. * TL;DR * DQ is good for a quick dilly bar and Oberweis has certain appeal, but when you feel like spoiling yourself, head to Andy's. Whether you're celebrating a big win from little league, or celebrating little wins throughout the week, there's no shortage of reasons to find yourself back here ordering a large James Brown Funky Assblaster ("what do you mean that's not what it's called?.....then what have I been ordering all this time??")

Small Boot Daddy=$5.59 It may be a little overpriced, but it's so good! The Caramel and Cookies mix really well.

So glad there is one close by. This place has a huge selection of treats! Their custard is so creamy and the taste is always consistent. I like that they offer peanut butter topping. I've not had me thing that wasn't so good! It can get crowded on a hot day but all ordering is outside which in this day is good.

yummy goodness

Great service! Great custard! Friendly, but you can only visit certain locations if it's not raining.

It's solid. It doesn't beat out other custard places I've been to but it definitely is a crowd pleaser.

Great flavors and unique offerings, a regular "go to" when craving sweets and not just for warm summer days.

Customer service lacks here. They could really care less about you, but their ice cream is damn good so who cares about the service, right?!

Better than usual ice cream in Aurora. Charlie's is located on Stolp Island in a former factory…read morelocation. It has kind of a limited selection but the flavors are more exotic than typical. Has okay prices even though it's premium and small batch. They also have a few sorbets but it's random. A bad thing is the ever changing hours. It's hard to know when they're open. They're open longer in summers. As expected. It's about $5 to get a scoop. Has an okay amount of flavors to choose. There's not a whole lot but it's still an okay amount for a smaller locally owned place. A few non dairy sorbets are among the rotating flavors. Last time they had the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet. Had the sourness and sweetness of the fruit prepared with sugar on it. There's also other flavors such as espresso and tangerine. For sure it's a great idea to call ahead before going. It's got a bunch of flavors and they change these random times. They're usually closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Homemade ice cream with very unique flavors that change frequently. I got one called chocolate…read morethunder and it was so rich, creamy and delicious. The homemade waffle cone was also very yummy. Service was friendly and prompt. And the ice cream shop has the old fashioned chic look. Super adorable. A little pricey, but I felt it was worth the price
