We have been waiting to try this place since we learned about it on the "This is Oklahoma" podcast…read more It definitely lives up to the hype - WOW. This location was super cute, clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I got the mini flight of six scoops which was very filling so it was my "girl dinner" for the night. This would be perfect to share with another person to try various flavors. Now the ice cream... Bananas Foster - 3.5/5 I'm normally a big banana ice cream fan, but I didn't love the dark rum as much. It was still quite good though and this is just me being super picky about the rum flavor since that's common in a bananas foster. Carmelita Crumble - 4/5 I'm a sucker for salted caramel so this one was delicious especially with the streusel mixed in. Nom nom. Cookies & Cream - 4/5 My kiddo loved this one and says it's hands down one of the best versions he has ever tasted (so he would give it a 10 out of 5 ;P). It's flavorful with great texture and it's no wonder it's so popular. Lemon Berry Bliss - 5/5 AMAZING from the first to the last bite. Perfect blend of sweet and tangy with the combination of lemon curd and blueberry compote. Oh my goodness, so freaking tasty - "bliss" is definitely the best way to describe it. Peanut Butter Cookie - 5/5 This happens to be one of my favorite cookies anyway and this did not disappoint! It's divine and I'd eat this over the actual cookie any day. Salted Cowboy Cookie - 5/5 It just hits the spot. The creamy rich vanilla with the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is superb. To me, I like this more as an artisan style cookies and cream - it's better than Oreo's! But that's just my opinion. I don't know which of the last three were my favorite. I'd definitely come back for any of them. Heck, I think I would just do another mini flight! Overall, I think Boomtown is an excellent spot for a nice gourmet treat. Yes, it's a little more price-wise, but this is not your average ice cream! It's totally worth it and your palette will thank you.

The ice cream was ok but for $6.50 one scoop plus the "cone charge" made it a $$7.75 ice cream cone! As they say too rich for my blood.

Boom Town's ice cream is the creamiest ice cream ever, and I love the array of flavors they carry! It's not uncommon that we'll swing by Boom Town after dinner to grab a quick dessert on a weeknight or weekend, and no matter when we visit, the place is always packed. We love the retro diner vibes and are so glad they've even expanded to Moore and Edmond locations! We love their mini flight with 6 small scoops - it's perfect to share between 2-3 people and you get to try so many flavors! Our staple flavors are cookies & cream, breakfast milk-a-licious, and elemental espresso crunch. They will occasionally have some fun, entertaining flavors worth sampling like the cacio e pepe, and they also have unique and lovely seasonal flavors too. Some of my favs seasonal flavors have been their Ferrero rocher, lemon berry bliss, and I'm currently obsessed with their white chocolate yuzu on the holiday menu. They have an assortment of gluten free and vegan flavors as well, and they offer ice cream cakes and small dog treat cups too, which our dogs love. We often leave with a pint (or sometimes 2) to take home as well!

It was $8 for rolled Icecream in a cup and $10 for rolled ice cream in a taco waffle cone. My family ordered $38 worth of rolled ice cream, 4 flavors, one in a dish and 3 in taco for. It was nice to watch through the window. Made me nervous with the whole covid thing going on. They did have sanitizer available if needed. Once our ordered were ready we picked them up. They looked good. But, upon taste they all lacked flavor. It was so bland. It was as if the poured milk on the frozen plate and put whatever ingredient in the milk to make the rolled ice cream. There was no sweetness to it. I was supposed to have Oreo ice cream. It was like watered down Icecream. I noticed the toppings they use. All toppings for my Overdose lacked flavor, except for the whipped cream. If my memory serves me Right it was squeeze bottles of the Smuckers brand. Their sauces are not the best. My flavor said it was topped with Oreos and the ice cream was Oreos. It was not Oreos, it was the generic brand of a chocolate sandwich cookie. I was not impressed, alone with so many others. The price for my Overdose taco was $10. I feel it was way over priced. If there was better ingredients, and it tastes great, $10. But, $5 is what mine was worth. I really hope they change things around, because I would love to see them last for many years. Do not cut corners.
