The NeverWet team was a pleasure to work with. We had several waterproofing companies come in to give us estimates. NeverWet's salesperson was the most competent and the most professional of those that came out. They left us with a reasonable quote, and then they left us alone. They weren't pushy about it like some other companies are. Signing up was pretty easy. We had to finance it, but they helped us out with that too (at a really decent rate too!). The owner, Kevin, came out a few days before the crew to scope things out, take note of some things, and discussed logistics with me (where to park their truck, plug in their equipment, etc). A couple of days later, the crew was here and they began their work - digging and jackhammering away. It was really hot that week too, poor guys, and it was really humid in our crawlspace. They cleared the drain trenches and installed drainage pipe and a new sump pump with a backup. Then they filled everything back in and sealed it with new cement. They left the crawlspace cleaner than it had been when they started. The following week, Kevin came back and personally dug out an additional drain for the crawlspace entrance, at no additional cost. He really went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with the job. They even took all of the old, gross insulation away for us (not part of their usual job, but I had asked) Any trenches they dug were filled back in very neatly, and freshly seeded. They were here for a total of 5 days. If you find yourself in need of some basement or crawlspace waterproofing, I highly recommend NeverWet. ********** UPDATE *********** Approximately 18 months after NeverWet did our initial basement waterproofing, our primary sump pump burned out. It ran a lot - multiple times a minute sometimes - so I wasn't really surprised. Fortunately we had a battery backup system, and that kept things dry. I called NeverWet and they had someone out within a couple days. The pump was completely covered by their guarantee, so the replacement pump as well as labor cost us nothing. I have lived in my home for a year and a half. The first spring in my home the basement was fine, and the previous homeowners even did a fresh paint job in order to hide the moisture damage. This year, being such a wet winter, spring, and summer I discovered water pouring through the cement brick walls, coming up through the basement floor, and well as overflowing in the french drain. This was causing the walls and floors to crack, and further increase leaking. Never Wet was the first company I contacted in order to solve my problem. The salesman came out, and there was a misunderstanding with the appointment date, they actually came a week earlier then I was told, and I was walking out the door for another commitment I made for that day. Needless to say the salesman offered to go through the basement, and my options efficiently, and quickly not causing too bad of a delay in my other obligation. He also educated me on why the leaks, moisture damage, and smell was occurring. He was very knowledgeable, and even pointed out things to me I had not noticed. I decided to utilize their services, but was shocked on how far they were booked out, my free quote was early April, and my service was just completed mid July. I don't fault them at all for this, as everyone is probably experiencing what I did this year, and it also is validation truly how many people are choosing them for their waterproofing needs. I choose the inside and outside waterproofing option, as well as burying my gutters. The outside option includes digging below the frost zone, repairing any damage and cracks to the foundation, laying a thick waterproofing tar like substance, covering that with plastic, then covering the plastic with stone. The inside included; installing drain tile around the whole basement, with access to clear drains in each of the corners of the basement, re-cementing over new drainage system, a whole home dehumidifier, a battery backed up sump, a new and deeper sump pump crock. You can choose to have them just paint your current cement brick, or put up dryshield panels, which is the option I choose. My cement brick was not so good on the eye, so I thought this was the more cosmetic approach. They do spray behind the panel to prevent mold and moisture damage. I felt if I was spending this amount of money to have a solid foundation, i would like it appealing to the eye as well, and my home being built in 1939, it needed some love. A week before my service, Kevin, the owner came out to scope the job and describe what the day would entail for me. He was very friendly, also very knowledgeable, and personable. He even called the morning of the job to ensure his crew arrived, and everything was going smoothly, and to see if I had any questions. I have a smaller basement, maybe 10' x 25', and the job was completed in 3 days. The first day was only a half day, 4 hours, and they jack-hammered half of the basement. The second day was around 8 hours and they completed the whole outside of the house, and majority of the inside. It was amazing how respectful they were in trying to savage landscape, and offered to replant anything they had to dig up. They hung plastic throughout the inside of the house to prevent dust from traveling to other parts of my house that they had to carry the dirt and cement that was removed for the new drainage system. They protected the floors, and any other thing that was in their pathway. The first day there were 2 guys on the job, the second day there were probably 10 or more. The last day they just had to finish cement the last end of my basement, install the dehumidifier, and clean up the basement, this took them about 2 hours. I was amazed at the amount of product they had to remove, and honestly had a little anxiety when I looked in my basement after day 1. At the end of day 3 you wouldn't have even known that all of that dirt and cement was piling up for removal in the basement. The walls made my basement look brand new, and it's even brighter down there now, because they are white, and reflect the light. As they were leaving they told me in the next couple of days someone would be at my house to power wash and clean my driveway, as it was covered in dirt from all the debris. I was shocked at this, and it wasn't expected. Several hours after job completion, the owner called me to see how everything was, inform me about the power washing, and let me know he wanted to come in the next week to check over everything and make sure it is all working properly and efficiently.
