This is a dive bar. If you don't like dive bars you will not like Nevilles. 2 pool tables one or two TV's. One long bar in a basement. Cheap, strong drinks. I don't like the color "blush" unless its the color of my vodka cranberry. Four stars for that. Heavy pour, splash of cran. I would not enjoy this place during the colder months but in the spring/summer you can grab a table on the tiny patio at the entry and not die of second hand cigarette smoke (which is allowed inside). Another plus, SoPies just opened shop upstairs so you can a pretty solid Stromboli or a pizza if you get the munchies. read more

We love this little dive bar when visiting Southern Pines! The patio is a nice spot to have a drink and chat with the locals.

First time stopping by. There's a $5 coverage fee which If you don't have cash then no prob. They'll let you in and get cash. Drinks were great. Pineapple Express and tangtini were good. Will definitely come back again! read more

Arrived with 7 people and were asked to pay $5 per person. Uhh Nah. 3 of the 7 people had their 'membership' card and they still wouldn't waive the coverage when the bar across the street (The Jefferson) had a band with no cover. Will never try to come back to this dungy dive bar. Will settle for another Southern Pines bar. Neville's is a quaint bar that sometimes has very good live music in the early evening. This is where the locals hang out. The older crowd is what I see there. Aside from the main bar area, there are 2 separate rooms which are open to the main bar area. Always a friendly atmosphere. You see all types of folks here, from those who dress very casually, to golfers and the nicely dressed. It is worth stopping in just to see who might be there, and if you're lucky enough to catch some live music, you will be glad you went there. read more

Nevilles is the BEST bar in the downtown southern pines area . I visit this place at least 5 times a day, every day , 364 days a year ( unfortunately ...they are closed one day of the year, and that day is Christmas ) . They open early in the afternoon , and you can bet I will be walking through those doors the second it opens .
