My second visit out to this location was totally an adventure. I liked the level of service given to me by employee James, that I had to return for that reason. I will not lie, it is quite a long drive from home, so use MapQuest to help navigate a decent path there. New Balance Factory employee James was very thorough in helping me find what my feet needed for my line of work. My selection was a great fit and was also on sale. This location has a variety of shoe selections but a limited clothing and active wear in stock to choose from. Receiving a discount of 2 pairs of shoes made up for how far this location is from home. I recently had an amazing visit to the new balance factory outlet store. I was looking for the new 1540 I used this shoe about three years ago they. They discontinued it but remodeled it and came out with the next version now a wonderful assistant named Lorraine helped me out and I needed a lot of help. I have a super wide foot. She help me navigate different styles and sizes after measuring my feet now we finally figured out a size and a width, and she helped me cause I'm gonna have to order the shoe. At the register, I was pleasantly surprised that I got a large discount off the shoe for a sale they had running in the store. And Lorraine was quick to let me know I qualified thank you so much. the young lady who helped me was fabulous And I had a question about my arches and she directed me to a nice insert that I can put in and she reminded me that I have a number of days that I can try out the shoe and even the insert and bring them back if I have a problem for a no charge what a great experience fantastic Help from Lorraine five stars. read more

My husband has been wearing New Balance shoes for the 32 years we've been married plus the years we dated. He buys the same white ones with blue writing - 608 or 628-stability shoes. He's been in more pain lately and needs a hip replacement so standing hurts. We went to this location to get a replacement pair and the salesman, Brandon, was so helpful and efficient. Everyone should know the product like him. He knew everything in inventory- styles and sizes. We left with a newer, more comfortable and expensive pair, but we were so impressed by his knowledge of the line. Otherwise, my husband would never have wanted to try these new shoes. Getting older, time to pick better & smarter footwear for the feets! Went in here last night simply due to knowing of the brand and this was the only outlet store. All was up to par and what you would expect from a decent shoe store. Clean. Plentiful stock, etc. Four stars would have been my rating. Now let me point out the above and beyond X factor that made me NOT want to forget to write this positive review AND bring this to an absolute 5 star experience... One word... Joel. Management pay attention, you have a gem here for customer service. The best retail service person I have worked with in a very long time. He was refreshing!! Here is some highlights. - He was sure to verbally welcome everyone coming into the store th - This was not a rushed, hurry up, buy your crap and leave experience. It was personal attention. - Even while it seemed he was training a new guy, (?) Joel only pulled away when he had to, with apologies too. - His knowledge of this brand on sneakers was amazing!!! - He actually took the time to ask, explain and teach alot about neutral shoe, technical terms for feet rolling to the sides, supports and what supports what etc! - His knowledge was both appreciated and directly related to what footwear was chosen. - Complete patience and pleasantness from in the door to out of the door. I have flat feet! There, I said it! I searched online for the best walking shoes for flat feet and among them were several from New Balance. I was in the Glendale area and happened across the NB Factory store. My general experience with shoe stores is that they have shoe "fetchers" that have little or no retail experience. At best, they teach them to run the register. Not so here. I found the two associates to be extremely knowledgeable about the human foot and how the type of shoe interacts with your skeletal structure and knee joints. I told Sadie that I have flat feet and she began to ask pertinent questions and narrow the selection down to several specifically meeting my needs. Then it was down to trying them one. Found them, bought them and love them. I don't normally praise retail shopping experiences, but I have to rate this one as excellent. read more

This store is usually pretty empty but they have a great staff and they've got some pretty good deals on shoes to boot.

So I was taking a family member to get new shoes, and they love New Balance. I knew that there was a New Balance Outlet in the Valley, so I decided to make the hour drive from the East Valley to Glendale. Coming from Southern California, I was expecting a lot more. Back there, New Balance operated a store front attached to their actual warehouse where they would close out their old styles on the cheap - like 50-75% off, if not more. The store was huge as well - about the size of a large CVS or something. But this store in Glendale is TINY. They have about 6 isles of shoes. At it's best, there are about 30-40 styles, with one isle being dedicated just to kids. There were just two for women's shoes, and most were lifestyle, not walking or running. I was very disappointed in the lack of styles they had, and the prices weren't that great, especially for an outlet. The cheapest women's shoe was $55. There are better deals to be had at JCPenney, where the prices start at $60 without a coupon. About half the store is active wear, but the prices were a bit high to say the least. The Nike Clearance Store at the Mills has better quality apparel for less. Unless you're in the area, shop at your local department stores or shoe stores. The outlet mall made for a good night out at least, as there were quite a few stores to browse. The only thing that saved this store from getting a one star was the employees who were really helpful - but not pushy - and the cleanliness/organization of the store. read more
